High Water Forces Rescheduling of Ravenna Kiwanis Park Parade

New Game Schedule Will Be Issued
High water from headwaters of Cow Creek and back water from the Kentucky River have forced the Ravenna Kiwanis Park Parade, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, to be postponed until Saturday, May 17th, according to park director Billy Bruce Wiseman. Also, Saturday, May 10th is "Prom Day" and would have made it inconvenient to have the prom on that Saturday.
Games have also been rescheduled because of water covering the fields, and a new schedule should be available in this week's Estill County Tribune. The parade will assemble in Irvine and travel up Broadway to its destination at the ball park. Games will begin Monday, May 12th and a full schedule of games is planned for Saturday, May 17th following the opening ceremony and an Exceptional League game.
