Carhartt Celebrates 125th Anniversary

Carhartt employees spell out "125"

Company was established in 1889
Carhartt, America’s premium work wear brand since 1889, celebrates its 125th anniversary by recognizing the contributions of workers at all of its facilities, including its supply chain operations center and sewing facility located in Irvine, Kentucky.
“It is with great pride that we often re-tell the story of how the Irvine community worked together with our company founder Hamilton Carhartt and his son Wylie to establish this original sewing plant in 1932,” stated Linda Hubbard, president and chief operating officer at Carhartt. “The effort not only brought Carhartt to this community, but enabled both the residents and the company to recover in the aftermath of the Great Depression. Today we still feel that strong connection to this community and the work we do here.”
The Carhartt associate teams at Irvine sewing and Irvine supply chain operations center not only provide products of quality, durability and great workmanship to serve and protect our consumers, but are dedicated to continuous improvement of safety within the facility. Irvine sewing has been among the first to implement the DuPont Safety Training Observation Program, which helps to prevent future facility incidents and injuries by increasing safety awareness and communication within the organization while the supply chain operations center continues to improve supply chain processes. Both associate teams continue to go above and beyond to support their community by leading fundraising events and collecting donations for local schools and non-profit organizations.
“Our Kentucky associates go above and beyond to support their community through fundraising and collecting donations for local schools and non-profit organizations – a strong reflection of their commitment to preserve our brand legacy and promote brand excellence,” Hubbard further adds.
In celebration of Carhartt’s 125th anniversary, each Carhartt facility will receive a commemorative plaque thanking its associates for 125 years of dedicated teamwork. About Carhartt, Inc.
