Closure of KY 1057 in Powell County rescheduled for Monday, October 20th

Use KY-2001, Plum Branch and Frames Branch as an alternate route
Due to excessive runoff from this week’s rainfall, the closure of KY 1057 in Powell County for a culvert replacement, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 18th, has been rescheduled until Monday, Oct. 20. Since there is no school in Powell County on that day, traffic impacts to weekday travel will be minimized.
In order to replace a drainage structure, the Kentucky Department of Highways plans to close KY 1057 (Hardwicks Creek Road) at milepoint 3.1 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. During this time, the road will be closed to all through traffic.
A detour will be signed using KY 2001 (Spout Springs Road), Plum Branch Road and Frames Branch Road. Motorists should plan their trips accordingly.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable date.
