Lee Ray Estes, age 68, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born December 19, 1951 in Estill County and was the son of the late Turner and Alma Isaacs Estes. He was a retired CSX employee and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
Mr. Estes is survived by one daughter, Laura Asche (David), Indiana; two sons: Jamie Estes, Estill County; and Scott Newton (Teadria), Madison County; two sisters: Loretta Guffey and Rosetta Barnes, both of Prospect, Kentucky; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven siblings: Ester Mae Spicer, Stella Estes, Bertha Estes, Lois Jean Estes, Wanda Estes, Raymond Estes and Lloyd Estes.
Friends may call between 10:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Estes, Beck Smith, David Asche, Spencer Smith, Phillip Estes and Scott Newton.

Debra C. Fultz, age 64, passed away at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. S
She was born June 8, 1950 to the late Emma Scenters Stone in Richmond Kentucky. Debra is a stepdaughter to Raymond Barnes of Tipton Ridge in Ravenna.
Deb was preceded in death by husband of 39 years, Roger Fultz Sr.; her parents, and a sister, Nancy Caudill.
She is survived by three children, Roger Fultz Jr., Victoria Jenkins (Tony), and Jeremey R. Fultz; three brothers, Moody, David, and Andy; two sisters, Eva and Fonda; eight grandchildren, Trevor, Christopher, Connor, Daisha, Blaze, Bryson, PJ, and Jamie; two great grandchildren, Malakyh and one expected in September; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Debra enjoyed camping, traveling, and fishing. She loved spending time with family and going shopping. She was always go, go, go. Deb enjoyed her time working in healthcare and tending to those in need.
Visiting hours were at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N Walnut Street, Bucyrus, Ohio. There was a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at Crawford County Memorial Gardens.

Alvin Eugene Patrick, age 82, husband of Virginia Muncie Patrick, Clay City, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at his residence.
Born in Clay City, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Floyd and Lola Hardy Patrick and he was a United States Army Veteran. Eugene was a former superintendent at Central Rock Company and a member of Vaughn's Mill First Church of God. His first job was working in a dairy in Florida, and he built three houses in his lifetime which were provided for his family to live in. Eugene loved his family and he adored and cherished his great grandchild, Jenna.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Eugene Patrick; his daughter, Rhonda Jean Mastin; one brother, Virgil Patrick; and one sister, Roxie Patrick.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Virginia Patrick; one daughter, Valerie Stephens (Roy) of Clay City; two brothers, Billy Patrick of Clay City and Glen Patrick (Patty) of Stanton; one sister, Carolyn Sue Horn (Johnny) of Clay City; two grandchildren, Lindsey Smith (Darrell) and Aaron Willoughby (Lindsey) and one great grandchild, Jenna Morgan Willoughby.
Visitation begins at 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020, at Hearne Funeral Home Inc., 125 West College Avenue in Stanton, followed by funeral services officiated by Bro. Ted Linkous and Bro. Todd St. John at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Stonegate Cemetery with Charlie Goodwin, Aaron Willoughby, D. J. Smith, Roy Gibson, Wayne Abney and Petie Goodwin serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Vaughn's Mill First Church of God.

James Avery Johnson, age 80, of Furnace Junction in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, following a long illness.
He was born September 10, 1939 in Estill County and was the son of the late Hubert and Edna Estes Johnson. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Cobb Hill Church of Christ.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Debra Ann Rogers Johnson; two daughters, Tammy Sue Congleton, Stanton; and Marilyn Kay Johnson, Ravenna; one son, Michael Scott Johnson, Ravenna; two sisters: Nancy Teegarden, Pendleton County; and Sharon Faye Stewart, Irvine; two brothers: Virgil Johnson, Campbell County; and Dallas Johnson, Lee County; six grandchildren: Stephanie Townsend, Joshua Congleton, Chris Moore, Michael Johnson, Zachary Schoolar and Seth Schoolar; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six siblings: Beulah Mae Mays, Zelma Dean Rogers, Phyllis Jean Shouse, Leora Smith, Sue Abney and Floyd Merle Johnson.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 9, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Mountain Springs Cemetery by Bro. Gainus Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Congleton, Michael Johnson, Chris Moore, Robbie Townsend, Avery Johnson and Darren Elam.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Schoolar, Seth Schoolar, David Congleton and Stephanie Townsend.

Nora Helton, age 97, of Ridge Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
She was born August 23, 1922 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late James Richard and Rosa Ann Puckett McIntosh. She was a housewife and widow of Berl Reese Helton. She attended the Holiness Church and had lived in Estill County all her life.
Mrs. Helton is survived by two daughters: Elwanda Holland, Florida; and Rebecca Arvin, Irvine; three grandsons, Jeff Holland, Florida; Chris Osborne and Mike Arvin, both of Irvine; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings Nancy Green "Nannie" Tipton, Clyde McIntosh, Floyd McIntosh, Lula E. McIntosh, William "Willie" McIntosh, Mary Elizabeth "Mary Liz" Barnes, Stella Puckett, and Hester McIntosh.
Friends called from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2020, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. by Bro. Terry Barnes. Burial was at the Crowe Cemetery.

Alisya Jolene Shouse, age 39, wife of Tim Shouse, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
She was born August 19, 1980, in Madison County to James Wayne Coffey and Donna Scenters Baker. She was a homemaker and loving mother.
Alisya is also survived by her children: Amber Locker and stepson Timothy Joseph Shouse; her brother, Timothy Wayne Coffey (Rebecca) and Daniel and Ashley Baker; her sister, Marilyn Baker; and her grandchildren: Gene Shouse, Tyler Shouse, and Leo Shouse.
Her wishes were to be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.

Clifford Couch, Jr., husband of Kathy Lynn Hughes Couch and the son of the late Clifford and Evelyn Sama Couch was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on August 7, 1951 and peacefully departed this life at his home in Beattyville on June 4, 2020 at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for RJ Corman Railroad. In addition to his wife, Kathy, Clifford is survived by three daughters, Rita Watts and husband Jason, Angela Napier and husband Rodney all of Irvine, Kentucky, and Jenny Coomer and fiancé Adam Chambers of Beattyville, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Tyler Johnson and Logan, Landen, and Lane Napier all of Irvine, and Adrian and Tanner Coomer and Carson Gabbard all of Beattyville; one great granddaughter, Penelope Coomer; and a host of brothers, sisters, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronnie Louis Bingham, age 77, of Waco, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Estill County, Kentucky on Friday, June 5, 1942, the son of the late Ellis and Marie Miller Bingham. He was a graduate of Madison Central High School and a retired employee of Madison County Road Dept. Ronnie was a lifetime farmer, raising cattle and tobacco, and really enjoyed fishing. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the Panola Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Randy Bingham (Kesha Harrison), of Waco; two daughters, Susan Daniel (Roscoe) of Irvine; and Brandy Jarell (Travis), of Georgetown; three brothers, Harold Bingham (Brenda), Everett Bingham (Eula Lamb) and Cecil Bingham (Carolyn); four sisters, Grace Carolyn Stotts, Ruth Lawson, Lois Myers (Steve) and Martha Walter; six grandchildren, Chloe Jarrell, Bella Jarrell, Lexi French, Mathew Daniel, Randy Raelene Harrison and Leandra Sky Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Kenneth Bingham, Willie Joe King and Sue Schulte.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 in Madison Memorial Gardens with Johny Collins officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at the gravesite.

She was born January 17, 1951 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Marcus Cole and Pauline Rogers Davidson. She was a homemaker and widow of Paul Moore. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Tuttle, Madison County; and Crystal Baskin, Estill County; three sons: Keith Moore (Darlene), Troy Moore, both of Estill County; and Clinton Moore (Amanda), Madison County; two sisters: Sandy Phillips, Ohio; and Judy Hatton, Campbell County; one brother, George Clay Cole, Michigan; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends called Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 7, at the funeral home by Bro. Wayne Hatton. Burial was at the Oakdale Cemetery.

He was born June 12, 1927 in Breathitt County and was the son of the late Luther Chester and Mary Jane McIntosh Hollon. He was a retired Newport Steel employee and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Mr. Hollon was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Tipton Hollon.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Tipton, Independence; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Hollon was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy McCormick; and his siblings, Fannie King, Bessie Mae Trent and Noah Hollon.

Doris Irene York Rose, age 68, passed away Tuesday June 2, 2020 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
She was born September 29, 1951 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Christopher Columbus and Edna Cathleen Wicker York. Doris loved being outside, raising a garden, fishing, walking, Bear Bear, her dog, playing Rook, and enjoyed being around people. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with family. Doris was of the Baptist faith.
Other than her parents Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Don Rose; five brothers, Larry York, John York, Donald York, Ronald York, Mike York; and three sisters, Joyce Robbins, Becky Cope, and Penny Lee York.
Doris is survived by her children: Roger Rose (Karen), Kevin Rose (Donna), both of Berea; Peggy Rose Stout (Clyde) of Somerset, and Chris Rose of Irvine; one brother, Carl “Peanut” York of Lancaster; one sister, Mary Miller of Irvine; four grandchildren, Roger Rose II, Lainie Galloway, Felicia Glover, and Alexis Daniels; two great grandchildren, Brylee Anglin and Molly Glover; and special friend, Ronnie Bingham.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday June 6, 2020 at Davis and Powell Funeral Home, 616 Chestnut Street, Berea, with Rev. Mark Sarver officiating. She was born December 1, 1943 in Clark County and was the daughter of the late Preston and Mattie Lee Richardson Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of the Wagersville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Mrs. Kerby is survived by her husband, Marshall Kerby; two daughters: Selena Hardy (Cecil), and Cynthia Epperson (Chris), both of Estill County; one son, Darrell Ray Spicer (Rebecca), Estill County; two stepsons: Rick Kerby and Mike Kerby; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Brenda Lee Peters and Donna Renae Peters Jones; and three brothers: Ova, Cornelius and Howard Wilson.

She was born January 20, 1969 in Estill County and was the daughter of Charles Dale Durham and the late Brenda Shouse. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ragamuffins. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
Survivors in addition to her father and stepmother, Devonda Durham, include one daughter, Desiree Smith (Andrew), Estill County; one son, Russell Smith, Estill County; three sisters: Gracie Skinner (Charlie), Amy Barnett and Melissa Riddell, all of Estill County; one brother, Charles Durham (Donna), Estill County; three “Cuddlebugs”: Neveah, Bentley and Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 4, at the funeral home by Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro. Rick Prewitt. Burial was at the Durham Cemetery.

William Earl Barnes, 91, husband of the late Frances Jane Reed Barnes, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
He was born July 13, 1928, in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Jacob B. and Mary Goldie Chamberlain Barnes, but raised in Estill County. William Earl was a retired plumber, electrician, and musician. He loved music, playing music and writing songs. He was a member of Linden Street Baptist Church, and he loved his friends and church family.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Lowery (the widow of Barry “Charlie” Lowery) of Richmond; three sons, Edward Earl “Pee Wee” Barnes (Shirley), Danny Barnes Barnes (Angela) and Randall Barnes (Jennifer), all of Richmond; one sister, Jakie Barnes Rowlette; four grandchildren, Marylane Montoya, Jacob Barnes, Robert Lowery and Annalisa White; and three great grandchildren, Logan White, Cole White and Waylon Cole. He also leaves two brothers-in-law, Benny Reed and Dean Reed.
In addition to his parents, his wife, and one son-in-law, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Beverly Barnes and Dee Barnes.
A graveside service for William Earl will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the Richmond Cemetery, with Bro. Michael Barnes officiating. There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lowery, Jacob Barnes, Patrick Montoya, Alan Johnson, Charlie Spurlock, and Johnny Lakes.
Service is under the direction of Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.

David Dale Barrett. age 59, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence in Booneville, Kentucky.
David was born April 10, 1961 in Booneville, KY, a son to the late Herman and Mae Nerva Gross Barrett. He loved his family, watching major league baseball, fishing, and was a member of the Applegate Pentecostal Church in Booneville.
He is survived by two daughters: Tuesday Rose (Justin) of Campton, and Tiffany Johnson of Irvine; two brothers: Jimmy Barrett (Brenda) of Booneville, and Ellis Barrett of Annville; four sisters: Betty Smith (Junior), Mary Bishop, Jacqueline Tibbs (Billy), all of Booneville; and Phyllis Bucklin (Vernon) of Aplington, Iowa; and three grandchildren: Alexander Frost, and Steven and Bethany Faulkner; along with many other loving family members and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Smith.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating, and the visitation begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral. David was laid to rest at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located in Booneville.

He was born March 18, 1970 in Breathitt County and was the son of the late Hobert Smith and Joyce Ann Dunn Smith. He was a former construction worker and lived in Estill County most of his life.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Karen Kaye Mayle Smith;
one Daughter, Taylor Ann Smith, Madison County; two sons: Hobert Bryce Smith, Madison County; and Michael Smith, Knox County; one stepson, Elliot Karston Muncy, Madison County; and two brothers: Anthony Scott Smith, Estill County; and Danny Fitzgerald Smith, Madison County.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

She was born February 19, 1931 in Pryse, Kentucky, and she was the daughter of the late Robert Doty and Eddie Broaddus Doty. She was a homemaker and a retired inspector for Philips Lighting. She was a member of the Station Camp Christian Church and lived in Estill County most of her life.
Mrs. Newton is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Quinn Newton.
She is survived by three daughters: Teresa Morgan (William), Indiana; Rebecca Sheeks, Indiana; and Charlotte Riggins (David), Tennessee; two sons: Anthony Quinn Newton (Jean Ellen) and David Newton (Marcia), both of Irvine; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret West; and three brothers, Robert, Jimmy, and Charles Doty.
Private funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Scott Beauchamp. Memorial services will be held at a later date due to Covid-19.
Pallbearers were Seth Newton, Jonathan Newton, Nathaniel Newton, Joshua Sheeks, Jedediah Sheeks, and Jason Williams.

He was born March 18, 1935 in Covington, Kentucky to the late John D. Sullivan and Elsie Bodee Sullivan. He was a state auditor and was a member of the Dunaway United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Fay Wood Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Vastine and Maureen Tepe; and two brothers, Jack Sullivan and Robert Sullivan.
Graveside services were held Friday, May 29, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Wood Cemetery by Bro. Jim Hall.
Pallbearers were Robert Allen Rankin, Caleb Hall, Jeff Horn, Jim Hall, Danny Sullivan, David Sullivan, David Bradley Estes, and Billy Stanfield.

He was born August 10, 1934 in Livingston County, Kentucky, to the late Lynn Kayse and Thelma Kayse. He was
a retired L&N/CSX railroad conductor where he worked for 41 years. He was a long-term member of his local VFW post. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, taking drives, and playing cards with friends. He especially enjoyed feeding his family of squirrels in the backyard.
JB is survived by his wife, Peggy Kayse; and one daughter, Kim Kayse. He was grandpa to Eric
(Amber and Karson) Kayse, Matt (Bryson and Mason) Workman-Kayse, Dylan Kayse, and Jessica
Kayse. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends in both Northern
Kentucky and Irvine.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Kayrene, and his son, Mark.
Friends may call between 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 28 at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals in Irvine. Private funeral services will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Alzheimer’s
Association in his name.
