Wilma Watson Stamper, 87
|
Wilma Watson Stamper, 87, beloved widow of James Newton Stamper departed this earth early in the day on Thursday, October 24, 2024 to be reunited with her Lord and Savior after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Gene Stamper; and her brothers, James Ratliff, Garner Ratliff, Clayton Ratliff and Donald Ray Ratliff.
She was born on February 8, 1937 in Estill County on Cobb Hill to the late Clay and Lettie Watson. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, and worked at Curlee Clothing Company for over 10 years. She then retired to stay home and care for her family and help her husband with the family plumbing business. She was known for her fried peach pies, sewing skills and her love of flowers.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Vickie Gay Hall (Larry), her sisters, Leona Stamper, Hazel Castle, Helen Day (Jeff), and Kathy Rupard; a sister-in-law, Pat Ratliff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Billy Keller. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Scobee Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice East.

Gregory Lee Puckett, age 62, of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2024, after an extended illness.
Gregory was born on June 18, 1962, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Grace Adams Puckett and Bobby Gene Puckett.
In addition to his father, Gregory is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Rebecca "Becky" Puckett; three daughters, Vickie Carson (Joe), Kimberly Tipton (David) and Harley Puckett; four grandchildren, Levi Carson, Harley Puckett, Bentley West, and Allie West; two brothers, Dwight Puckett (Lisa) and Bobby Puckett (Cheryl); and two sisters, Sandra Tuggle and Connie Haggard (Mitchell); along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Gregory Lee Puckett will be conducted on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Tim Roberts will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Puckett Family Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Pallbearers will be David West, Joe Carson, Gary Puckett, Michael Ferguson, Jason Poole, and Anthony Haggard.

Pauline Turner Crowe, age 73, of Dry Branch Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at her home following a short illness.
She was born January 10, 1951, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Dema Jenkins Turner. She retired from Carhartt and had lived in Estill County all her life.
Mrs. Crowe is survived by her husband, Eugene Crowe; one son, Jason Eugene Crowe of Estill County; one brother, William Thomas “Tommy” Turner of Estill County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, October 27, 2024, 1 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Brooks officiating. Burial was at the South Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 6 to 9 p.m.
Pallbearers were Elijah Walker Estes, Anderson Taylor, Devon Mid-gett, Michael Rose, John Stewart, John-John Stewart, and Jayden Sewell.
Honorary pallbearers were Stanley Means, Jack Cockrell, and Odell Isaacs.

Dona Jean Bach Agee, age 67, of the Spurlin Trailor Park in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at her home.
She was born October 17, 1957, in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Emanuel Bach and Ollie Combs. She was a retired employee of the Madison County School System.
Dona is survived by her daughter, Mindy Webb (Ken) of Madison County; her son, Jason Bach (Malisa) of Madison County; two sisters, Sandra Bach of Tennessee and Connie Stone of Estill County; one brother, Randy Bach of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jaiylon Webb (Austin), Kenton Webb, Kaylon Benedict, and Jordan Henry; and her fur babies, Toby, Jax, and Jett.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, October 26, 2024, 12 Noon, at the West Irvine Cemetery with Kenton Webb officiating.
Pallbearers were Ken Webb, Kenton Webb, Justice Bach, Jason Bach, Randy Bach, Jake Henry, Logan Benedict, and Austin Phipps.
The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Gloria Seale Durham, 94

Gloria Seale Durham, 94, died on Sunday, October 20, 2024, after a long illness at Wesley Village in Wilmore, Kentucky. She was born on December 25, 1929, to Lillie and Dane Seale in Ravenna, Kentucky.
Mrs. Durham was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. Gloria received Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of seven while attending Ravenna Methodist Church with her parents and sister, Peggy. Her godly Christian parents led their girls in daily devotions, and they attended church services weekly while their mother played the organ and piano and their father sang in the choir. Gloria was faithful to her Lord all her life.
She was a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and received her master s degree from Bellarmine College. Gloria taught school for 37 years at grade levels ranging from kindergarten through college. She considered her highest calling to be a Christ follower, wife, and mother.
Before her daughter Peggy started school, Gloria and
her husband Bill Harrell changed professions to enable Gloria to be a stay-at-home mom. Bill became Director of Campus Activities at the Methodist Children s Home in Versailles, Kentucky, and the family lived on campus. Gloria was an able partner in this endeavor.
Once Peggy began first grade, Gloria and Bill returned to teaching and coaching, respectively, in the Shelby County Schools. Gloria and Peggy drove to school together through Peggy s 7th grade year. Gloria and Bill served at Centenary Methodist Church in Shelbyville with Bill as a lay pastor and Gloria as one of the church organists.
When Gloria moved to Lexington, she became a member of Centenary Methodist Church. After several years, she joined Immanuel Baptist Church where her family was in attendance. Gloria s later years were blessed by the birth of her precious grandson, Christopher Parr. She helped Peggy homeschool Christopher during his elementary school years.
She was a member of an Intercessory Prayer Group led by her dear friend Margaret Therkelsen for many years.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Peggy H. Parr, Ph.D. (Dr. Jeff Parr), a grandson Christopher W. Parr (Kara Beth), a sister Peggy Snowden; nephews, Mark Snowden (Mary Leigh) and Dane Snowden (Linda) and their children, her great-nephews and nieces; and two special friends, Pauline Holovak and Erin Myers.
Viewing was held at 10 a.m. with the funeral at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Tates Creek Campus of Immanuel Baptist Church in the Sisk Chapel with Rev. Gene Parr, Jr. officiating.
Pallbearers were Jeff and Christopher Parr, Mark and Dane Snowden, Brad Byrum and Jake Deshler.
The family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff of Holloway Cottage at Wesley Village.

Ophelia Howard of Berea, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. Born in Irvine, Kentucky, on June 4, 1933, the daughter of Millard and Grace Jean Wiseman.
Graduating from Madison High School in 1951, where she played basketball, she started work for Richmond Utilities as a bookkeeping and billing clerk. After relocating to Lexington, she was employed by Fayette County Public Schools. Most important to her was her spiritual life and service to others. She and her husband Wayne (now deceased), played an instrumental role in the construction of Faith Decision Baptist Church. Ophelia joyfully played the piano and organ as well as taught Sunday School throughout her Christian life.
Family was Ophelia's pride and joy. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kim Fisher of Hilton Head, South Carolina; and Mike Howard of Perry, Florida; three grandchildren, Brian Burton, Kelley Newkirk, and Heather Brooks; and five great-grandchildren, Harper Burton, Hayes Burton, Lana Newkirk, Hayden Brooks and Cooper Brooks.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Berea Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Closterman officiating. Entombment followed these services.
Lakes Funeral Home of Berea was in charge of arrangements.

Norma Raye Flanery, age 79, of Winchester, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Compassionate Care Hospice Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
She was born on October 31, 1944, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late William Columbus and Susan Horn Flanery. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Lindburg and James Flanery, and five sisters, Martha Ellen Frisbee, Betty M. Flanery, Jewell D. Aldridge, Gloria Newman, and Leslie Carol Lee.
Norma is survived by her son, Ronald Flanery (Miranda); four grandchildren, Joshua (Conley), Tybee, Anderson, and Casandra Flanery; and one great grandchild, Oakley Flanery, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Norma Raye Flanery will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brothers Danny Frisbee and Larry Frisbee will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Peters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Peggy Lou Mansfield, age 72, of Broadway in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at her home following a long illness.
She was born April 13, 1952, in Madison County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Roy Lowell and Stella Rose Rader Mansfield. She was former employee of the South-East Coal Company and was a member of the Irvine Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
Peggy is survived by her companion, Elizabeth Fae Cox of Estill County; two sisters, Carol Park (Charlie) of Estill County and Drucilla Crouch (Larry) of Hopkins County; and one brother, Jay Mansfield (Rebecca) of Estill County.
A private service will be conducted with burial at the Oakdale Cemetery.

Mary Patricia Tipton Watson, age 81, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 after arrival at Baptist Health- Richmond, Kentucky. She was the wife of Howard Watson.
Mary was born on November 5, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of Berry and Gina Faella Tipton, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a retired office manager/bookkeeper for Sembol Systems.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Sheila Powell of Richmond; one grandchild, Robert Steven Powell (Bernice McCoy) of Richmond; three brothers, Buddy Tipton (Trina) of Winchester, Harold Tipton (Berta) of London, and James Anthony Tipton (Diane) of Winchester; three sisters, Linda Means and Nina Marie Stamper, both of Irvine; and Norma Jean Nixon of Winchester; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanna Frost, Nell Pearson, and Diane Edwards; and one brother, Michael Berry Tipton.
A visitation will be held from 2 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home in Richmond.

Lenville Hall, age 88, of Brookstown Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, following a long illness.
He was born February 22, 1936, in Estill County, and was the son of the late Robert Hall and Dee Crawford Townsend. He was a Retired Farmer and a member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church and the Madison County Coon Hunting Club. He lived in Madison County for most of his life.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Moore Hall, and he is survived by three daughters, Linda Brumagen, Debbie Hall, and Janet Lynn Johnson (Garry), all of Madison County; two sons, Timothy Hall (Carolyn) of Madison County and John Hall (Theresa) of Texas; one sister, Magalene Townsend Tipton of Madison County; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Bud Hall and Michael Hall; three sisters, Lillian Hall, Ida Cole Hall, and Janet Townsend Tipton; and one brother, Glenn Hall.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 1 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Artie Alexander officiating. Burial was at the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were Josh Hall, Tim Hall, John Hall, Clayten Cooksey, Johnny Hall, and Joshua Mathis.

Betty G. Walters Harris, age 86, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home following a short illness.
She was born January 6, 1938, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Steve Walters and Vera Mae Dennis Walters. She retired from Sylvania and was a member of the Bethel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Charles Harris; and she is survived by one daughter, Sheila Harris Collins (Ricky) of Estill County; one sister, Ruth Woods (Ed) of Clark County; two brothers, Robert Walters (Jenny) and Stevie J. Walters, both of Estill County; one grandchild, Kaylee Collins (Christopher); and one great grandchild, Riley Kate Collins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.T. Walters.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 19, 2024, 1 p.m.,, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Davis and Bro. Geral Richardson officiating. Burial was at the Campbell Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were Eddie Wayne Walters, Cameron Walters, Billy Eugene Walters, Buck Walters, Dustin Moore, and Jeffrey Walters.

Roy Smith was born November 23, 1946 in Clay County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday October 17, 2024 being 77 years of age. He is the son of the late Raymond and Grace Smith.
He is survived by his siblings, Lester Smith of Annville, Christine Williams (Tommy) of London and Mary McKinney (Luther) of Irvine.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by the following siblings, Mark, Johnny, Paul, Russell, Jimmy and June Smith, Mossie McKinney and Joyce Pierson.
Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Smith will be held on Monday October 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Keith Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee.
Pallbearer will be Tommy Williams.

Jane Elizabeth Whipple, age 72, of Reges Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home following a long illness.
She was born June 26, 1952, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Angelina Eva Louisa West. She was a nurse s aide with the Winchester Health and Rehabilitation Center and had lived in Estill County for the last five years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Whipple.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lynn Brandenburg (Jeremy) of Estill County; two sons, Andrew Anthony Eamiello, III of Estill County and Charles William Eamiello (Teresa) of Indiana; two sisters, Charlene Jones of Connecticut and Kathlene Alfredo of Clark County; and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Grace Ester Perdew and Peter William West.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.

Patricia Meacacke 59 of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
She was born September 16, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio to George and Geraldine Ross. She was a homemaker.
Patricia is survived by her partner, Jeff Gross; her mother Geraldine Ross; two daughters, Heather Ross and Candice Donahue; a son, Christopher Renna; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Jeffery Stutz; and a sister, Melissa Stutz.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Ross.
No services are planned at this time.

Randy G. Estes, 79

Randy G. Estes, age 79, of Laura, Ohio, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Estill County, Kentucky.
Randy was born on February 2, 1945, in Leighton, Kentucky to the late Travis Estes and Ta-Litha Proffit Estes.
Mr. Estes was a Millwright by trade, having worked for G.M. for 30 years. He was a member of several unions. Randy was a brilliant man with an inventive mind. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends.
In addition to his parents. Mr. Estes is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Lee and Bruce Allen Estes; and one sister, Gladys Gregg.
Survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Dawn Grimes; three sisters, S. Kay Wells, Vida Anna Maxwell (Don), and Charlotte Dube (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.

Roger Campbell, 67, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Stanton Nursing Center, Stanton, Kentucky.
He was born October 26, 1956 in Campton, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Nancy Beatrice Yeary Campbell.
Survivors include four brothers, Richard Campbell (Lisa), Jimmy Dean Campbell, Nelson Campbell (Ethel), and Terry Campbell (Sheila); a sister, Audrey Shannon Burdette (Vincent); a sister-in-law, Wendy Sue Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dewey Wayne Campbell Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Campbell.
Visitation was held Saturday, October 26, 10 a.m. until 12 Noon at Wells Funeral Home of Stanton.

Sheila Diane Wise, 71, widow of Linvel "Bud" Wise, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born October 27, 1952 in Peru, Indiana to the late Loyd and Daisy Lathrop Sparks.
Survivors include her son, Loyd Ted Wise; her daughter, Amanda Pelfrey (Kevin); two granddaughters, Isadora Wise and Gracie Pelfrey; four brothers, Delmor Orme, Clyde Sparks, Carter Sparks, and George Sparks; and two sisters, Joleen Hall and Sheri Wise.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Linvel "Bud" Wise.
Services will be held at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton, Monday, October 28, 2024, 11 a.m., by Bro. Gary Sparks and Dale Sparks. Visitation was held Sunday 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Stonegate Cemetery with George Sparks, Clyde Sparks, Carter Sparks, Troy Sparks, Mike Sparks, and Randy Sparks serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers serving include Cheryl Hicks; nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Wanda Lou Boyd, 77

Wanda Lou Boyd, 77, wife of Noga Wayne Boyd, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Stanton, Kentucky, Nursing Center.
She was born April 7, 1947 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Rev. W.T. and Helen L. Hale Johnson. Wanda loved church, she enjoyed singing, playing music, and devoting her life to the Lord and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Noga Wayne Boyd; two sons, Richard Wayne Boyd and Kenneth Eugene Boyd; a brother, David Johnson of Paragould, Arkansas; a sister, Mary Lynn Aschworth, Mountain Home, Arkansas; a grandchild, Kaytlyn Nicole Boyd; a step-grandson, Dylan Jones; and two great grandchildren, Brooklyn Zaya Boyd and Angela Boyd.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harold Aldridge; and two grandchildren, Michelle Leann Boyd and Cory Wayne Boyd.
Services were held Sunday, October 27, 2024, 2 p.m., Wells Funeral Home, Stanton. Visitation was held Sunday from 1-2 p.m.
William Joseph Davis, 71

William Joseph Davis, age 71, husband of Linda Crowe Davis, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, on February 26, 1953, to the late Cecil Davis and Evelyn Elois Davis, of Campton. William was employed at Milner’s Electric in Lexington as an electrician. When he wasn't hard at work, he could often be found tending to his beautiful flower garden. With his exceptional gardening skills and green thumb, he had the remarkable ability to make anything flourish and thrive in his garden.
In addition to his father, William is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Michelle Davis; and one brother, Cecil Banks Davis.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Bryan Davis of Clay City and Johnny Abney (Dana) of Stanton; one brother, Darrell Davis of Mt. Sterling; and two grandchildren, Jerrod Abney and William Gabriel Davis.
Visitation was held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Ramone Gibbs, were held at the funeral home immediately following visitation.
Burial was held at Clark Cemetery in Clay City with Bryan Davis, Johnny Abney, Shaun Shoemaker, Faron Davis, Darrell Davis, and Matthey Teasley serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Justin Eisenhower and Danny Knox.

Grant Cleveland "George" Hudson, 82, widower of Alwena Louise Hudson, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Baptist Health, Lexington, with his loved ones by his side.
He was born December 13, 1941 in Bourbon County to the late Roy and Edna Margie Burris Hudson. He was a retired truck driver where he was fondly known as "Beechnut". He was of the Chritian faith. George will be remembered for his sense of humor, always smiling and laughter, as well as making others smile and laugh.
Mr. Hudson is survived by son-in-law, Hector Cardona, Stanton; two granddaughters, Tammy Marcum (Johnny), Versailles; and Kristie Fields (Jack), Clarksville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; a sister, JaVota Treadway, Mt. Sterling; a brother, Dudley Hudson, Frankfort; two special nieces Dawn Treadway and Elizabeth Treadway, and two special great nieces, Hannah Sorrell and Morgan Woosley, all of Mt. Sterling; and several extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alwena Spangler Hudson; a daughter, Wavelene Jane Cardona; great granddaughter, Haley Marcum; and brothers, Bobby Hudson, Dwight Hudson, and Roy Clay Hudson.
Services were held Friday, October 25, 2024, 12 Noon, at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton, Kentucky by Bro. Brad Epperson. Visitation was held Friday 10 a.m. until 12 Noon.

Jearldine Knox Esteppe, age 83, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation, Owingsville, Kentucky.
She was born June 26, 1941 in Bowen, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Ila Birch Knox. She was a sewing factory worker.
Survivors include one son, Richard Knox; two sisters, Davonna Davis (Rick) and Phyllis Everman (Ronnie); one grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Jeraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ila Knox; and three sisters, Ruby Powell, Irene Vice, and Jean Kincaid.
Services were held Friday, October 18, 2024, 1 p.m., by Bro. Brad Epperson. Visitation was held on Friday from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. Burial was in Crabtree Cemetery with Chad Bush, Brennen Bush, Rick Davis, Steve Everman, Ronnie Everman, and John Powell.

Ronnie Spencer, age 71, of Stanton, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Campton, Kentucky, November 11, 1952, to Claude and Mary Spencer.
Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Eva Spencer; two sons, Robert Spencer and William Spencer; and three sisters, Minnie R. Knox, Charlotte Rogers and Emma Barnes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City. Friends visited Sunday from 12 Noon till time of the service. Burial was in the Wireman Cemetery in Stanton.
In Lieu of flowers, family asks donations to be made to Grayson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Darlene A. Snowden Shoemaker, age 71, wife of Thomas Shoemaker, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 11, 1952 in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Modina Snowden.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Thomas Shoemaker; three children, Crystal McClure, Kathy Shoemaker, and Dallas Shoemaker (Annette); grandchildren, Brittany Muncie, Destani Shoemaker Watkins (Christian), Megan Haynes, Dustin Shoemaker, Kendra Knox (Jesse), Bentley and Aubrey Webb, and Raegan and Kaydence Webb; great grandchildren, Taylor Muncie, Brayden Muncie, Ivory Knox, Madison Frazier, Adaira Wallen, and Jaylin Wallen; sisters, Robin Baker (Randy), Betty Harrison (Steven), Gail Sizemore (James), Jackie Tyra (Ricky), Janet Ringle (Tom), Judy Rogers, Carrie Lou Brewer (Garland), and Jennifer Tingle (Dave); and sisters-in-law, Linda Snowden and Glenda Snowden.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Modina Snowden; brothers, Tracy Snowden and Melvin Snowden; two sons, Thomas Shoemaker Jr. and Brandon Kyle Shoemaker; and a granddaughter, Amber Leigh Ledford.
Services were held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, 1 p.m., by Bro. Eric Patrick at the Wells Funeral Home in Stanton. Visitation was held Tuesday, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial was in Stonegate Cemetery with Christian Watkins, Jesse Knox, Dustin Shoemaker, and Rodney Webb serving as pallbearers.
Kimberly Mae O Hair, 48

Kimberly Mae O Hair, widow of Linville O'Hair Jr., was born on August 14, 1976, in Madison County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in London, Kentucky, being 48 years of age. She is the daughter of the late Dillis and Evelyn Skinner Isaacs.
Kimberly is survived by her daughters, Emily Amanda Capps (Alex) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Kayland Noblitt (Justin) of Elk City, Oklahoma. Kimberly was blessed with four grandchildren, Ryker Gabbard, Evelyn Capps, Remington VanBuren and Brantley Noblitt. She is also survived by her siblings, Glenn Isaacs of London, Mickey Isaacs and Tammy Isaacs both of McKee.
In addition to her parents, Kimberly was preceded in death by her husband, Linville O Hair Jr.
Funeral Services for Kimberly were held on Wednesday October 9, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Jason Thomas officiating. Burial followed at the Isaacs Cemetery. A visitation began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers included Glenn, Gail and Tammy Isaacs, Linda Abrams and Alex Capps.
