Barbara Wyatt Harrison,79

    Barbara Wyatt Harrison, age 79, widow of Cegal, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
    She was born May 30, 1936.
    Mrs. Harrison is survived by several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd at 2:30 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Burial will follow in West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called after 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22nd at the funeral home.

Ruth Wilson, 93

    Ruth Wilson, 93, widow of Wayne Wilson, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Marcum Wallace Hospital after a short illness.
    She was a native of Estill County, born February 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Floyd and Clay Tipton Rogers. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Irvine First Christian Church.
    Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Clive Rogers; her sisters: Marie Tuttle, Irene Flora, and Lula Mae Rogers; and the child she raised but never adopted, David Joe Rader.
    Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd at 12:00 Noon, at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Humbert officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Randy Dale Griggs, 47

    Randy Dale Griggs, age 47, of Furnace Junction Road in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
    He was born June 20, 1968 in Estill County and was the son of Dorothy Ashcraft Griggs and the late Samuel Griggs.
    Survivors in addition to his mother include two daughters: Mashea Short (Kyle) and Alison Griggs (Dalton Adams) both Estill County; one son, Samuel Griggs, Madison County; one sister, Lisa Riddell (Mark), Estill County; two brothers: Larry Griggs, Fayette County; and Timothy Griggs (Annette), Laurel County; and one grandchild, Cabella Short.
    Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 20, 2 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends called after 12 Noon, Sunday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Kyle Short, Dalton Adams, Keith McCoy, Bobby Blevins, Greg Adams and Dennis Burns.

Della Rae Moreland, 91

    Della Rae Moreland, age 91, a resident of the Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Center following a short illness.
    She was born April 3, 1924 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Martha Jane Puckett Moreland. She was a member of the Crooked Creek Christian Church and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Ms. Moreland is survived by three sisters: Mary Puckett (Willard), Ilene Wolfinbarger, both of Estill County; Ollie McIntosh, Lee County; and two brothers: Floyd Moreland Jr. (Mildred) Estill County; and John Moreland (Lenora), Fayette County.
    She was preceded in death by two sisters: Minnie Osborne and Susie Tuggle; and one brother, Fred Moreland.
    Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 21, 11 a.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Crowe Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Sunday, December 20th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Algain Moreland, Tommy Durham, David Moreland, Nicholas Puckett, Phillip Flynn, Floyd Moreland and Roy Arvin.
    Honorary pallbearer was Willard Puckett.

Dennis Edward Watson, 76

Dennis Edward Watson

    Dennis Edward Watson, Sergeant First Class, U.S. Army (Retired), Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor recipient, was called home at 8:28 p.m. on December 18, 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky after a long, courageous battle with serious illnesses. He served multiple tours in Korea and two tours with distinction during the Vietnam War being present during the fall of Saigon. Dennis and his love, Anna Lois opened their home to the refugees of Vietnam after the United States withdrew from Vietnam. Dennis also retired from Camp Burnamwood in Irvine, Kentucky.
    He was born June 2, 1939, in Estill County, a son of the late Herman and Lanie Watson Watson.
    No one was a stranger to Dennis and he would do anything for anyone in need. He passionately loved his family, Anna Lois (Stamper) Watson, his wife, his lifelong best friend and partner; his sons: Michael Kevin Watson (Kimberly) of South Charleston, Ohio; Dwaine (Joey) Watson, and Darren (Skeet) Watson, both of Cobb Hill, Kentucky; his grandchildren: Michael Watson (Bonnie Salser) of Austin, Texas; Darcy Brier of Paulding, Ohio; Jesse Watson (Holly) of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Brie Watson of South Charleston, Ohio; Jessica Bustillos (Jorge) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Jeremy Watson (Jaquelin) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and numerous great-grandchildren.
    Dennis is a true hero to his Country and fellow man. He was willing to sacrifice when many were not. He was a patriot, husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend. The world has lost a son but Heaven has gained a Saint. Rest in eternal peace, true American hero.
    He was preceded in death by two sisters: Orpha Shaffer and Anna Lee Tipton, and one brother, Otis Watson.
    Funeral services werl be conducted Tuesday, December 22nd, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Merle Travis. Burial was at the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 8 p.m., Monday, December 21st at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers were Michael Watson, Michael Watson Jr., Darren Watson, Jeremy Watson, Brie Watson and David Tipton.

Maudie M. Sieberkrob, 72

    Maudie M. Sieberkrob, age 72, Nicholasville, Kentucky, wife of David Leon Sieberkrob Sr. and sister of Verlon Rowland of Irvine, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 after an extended illness.
    She was born on January 24, 1943 in Winchester, Kentucky, to the late Virgil and Fannie Rowland.
    Mrs. Sieberkrob is survived by two sons: David Leon Sieberkrob Jr. (Liz) and Eric Allen Sieberkrob (Lisa), three grandchildren: Erin, Jared (Hannah) and Josh Sieberkrob; one brother, Verlon Rowland; four sisters: Geatta Reffett, Nettie Childers, Juanita McCuddy and Barbara Booth; and a sister-in-law, Delores L. Rowland (the late Ray) of Irvine.
    Maudie is also preceded in death by four siblings.
    Funeral service was conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22nd at Betts & West Funeral Home, 404 North Main Street in Nicholasville. Burial followed in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The family received friends from 4-8 p.m., Monday, December 21st at the funeral home.
    Maudie was the namesake and longtime contributor of the popular, long-running column, "Maudie's Naughties," that has run in The Estill County Tribune for more than ten years.

Charles Wayne Herman Farmer, 72

Charles Wayne Herman Farmer

    Charles Wayne Herman Farmer, 72, husband of Mary McHale Farmer, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the VA Medical Center, Lexington.
    He was born August 24, 1943 in Richmond, Indiana to the late James Earl and Ruthie McQueen Farmer. He was a United States Navy veteran serving as a signalman during the Vietnam era; while serving he was a part of the Dominican Interntion of 1965. He was also a retired carpenter.
    Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary McHale Famer, Stanton; two sons: Jim Farmer (Susie), Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Thomas Farmer (Elise), Louisville; one daughter, Rebecca Hicks (James), Portland, Oregon; three brothers: Tracy Farmer (Brenda), Bourbon County; Ralph Farmer (Millie), Estill County; and Paul (and the late Melody) Famer, Clay City; and three sisters, Rebecca Rolf (Don Jr.), Crescent Springs; Rachel Sizemore (Ron), Cincinnati, and Nancy Farmer, Clay City.
    Visitation was Friday, December 19th, 5-9 p.m., at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, Stanton.

Clarence Oldfield Jr., 81

    Clarence Oldfield Jr., age 81, of Winchester, Kentucky, husband of Betty Patton Oldfield of 57 years, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Clark Regional Medical Center.
    He was born on June 29, 1934, in Montgomery County, to the late Clarence Oldfield Sr. and Lucy Stamper Oldfield. He was retired from Bundy Tubing and bravely served in the United States Air Force. He was also a member of Belmont Church of Christ.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty Patton Oldfield, one son, Robert Oldfield (Gloria) of Winchester; one grandson, Rob Oldfield of Winchester; one brother, Don Oldfield of Florence; one sister, Kay Harding of Middletown Ohio; one uncle, Cecil Oldfield of Mt. Sterling; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 14th at Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester, by Minister Sam Marsh. Burial was in Winchester Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, 12:00 Noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were his friends and family.

Delbert Lawrence Hafley, 81

    Delbert Lawrence Hafley, age 81, a resident of the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Center, following a long illness.
    He was born October 31, 1934 in Junction City, Kentucky, and was a retired employee of Louisville Gas and Electric. He was a member of the Forest View Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy.
    Mr. Hafley was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Doris Pendley Hafley.
    He is survived by one daughter, Anastasia Anderson, Indiana; one son, Gordon Lee Hafley, Greensboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Sarah Anderson, Jake Anderson and Jennifer Anderson; and one sister, Carol Hafley.
    Mr. Hafley was preceded in death by one sister, Hulda Hafley; and two brothers: Lewis and R.C. Hafley.
    Private services will be held at a later date.

Robert Paul Lamb, 85

    Robert Paul Lamb, age 85, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
    He was born August 26, 1930 in Madison County and was the son of the late James W. and Agnes Gross Lamb. He was a retired Bluegrass Army Depot employee and a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended the New Bethel Baptist Church #2 and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Zetta M. Hoover Lamb.
    He is survived by three daughters: Donna Hurley (Russell), Phyllis Durbin (Billy) and Sue Newton (Ronnie Powell), all of Estill County; one son, Gary Paul Gross, Estill County; three sisters: Alberta Wirth (Gus), Virginia; Jessie Mae Neal, Estill County; and Brenda Horn (Bobby), Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers: Dawson Lamb (Marie), Estill County; and Norman Lamb (Marion), Madison County; seven grandchildren: Roger Burns (Ellar), Andy Newton (Penny), Shane Durbin (Melissia), Debbie Callahan (Wayne), Rhonda Eckler, Michelle Hoover (James) and Sherry Hoover; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Gross; one grandchild, Ronnie Carlo Gross; one great grandchild, Dustin Young; six brothers: Herman, George, Brock, James W. Jr. (Junebug), Roger and Billy Lamb; one sister, Marie Evans; one sister-in-law, Hazel Lamb; and two brothers-in-law: Bob Kelly and Vernon (Doc) Evans.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 12th at 2 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Gross Point Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, December 11th at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers were Bill Kelly, Richard Kelly, Stanley Kelly, Calvin Conrad, Dean Arvin, Charlie Tipton and Kelvin Dean Tipton. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren and great nephew, Ethan Kelly, Mikie Stepp and Kenny Stepp.

Mildred Ann Niekirk Tuttle, 75

    Mildred Ann Niekirk Tuttle, age 75, formerly of Estill County, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, at the Baptist Health Lexington Hospital following a short illness.
    She was born February 28, 1940, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Louis and Nancy Elizabeth Green Niekirk. She was a retired Estill County business owner. She was a Charter member of the Friendship Baptist Church and was attending the Harvest Church of Lexington.
    Mrs. Tuttle is survived by two sons: Bret Haney and Rick Haney, both of Lexington; three brothers: Danny Niekirk, Estill County; Bill Niekirk, Virginia; and Ray Niekirk, Estill County; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Warren; and seven brothers: Fred, Jim, Louis, Boyd, Don, Marshall, and Ralph Niekirk.
    Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 11th at 1 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Scott Rogers burial followed in the Richmond Cemetery. Friends called after 11 a.m., Friday, until service time at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Ben Haney, Ryan Haney, Connor Haney, Brian Mischler, Curtis Neikirk and Jason Neikirk.

Kenneth Franklin Webb, 67

    Kenneth Franklin Webb, age 67, husband of Cleta Roberts Webb, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
    He was a native of Madison County, born February 7, 1948, a son of the late Grover and Clella Goosey Webb. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and turtle hunting with Glen. Mr. Webb was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
    Survivors other than his wife of 45 years, Cleta, include his son, Ken Webb (Mindy); his daughters: Angela Webb, Brooke Webb, and Tammy Webb; his brothers: Earl Webb, Roy Webb, Ray Webb (Diane), and Darrell Webb (Brenda); his sisters: Lois Isaacs (Lee) and Brenda Webb; his grandchildren: Jaiylon and Kenton Webb; and special canine companions, Nala & Cocoa.
    Services were held Wednesday, December 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 237 North 2nd Street, Richmond, with Bro. Fred Livingood and Bro. Mike Erickson officiating. Burial followed in the Flatwoods Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call Wednesday, after 11:oo a.m., until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Ken Webb, Kenton Webb, Kenny Sewell, Glen Roberts, Chub Roberts, Greg Hardy, and Jaiylon Webb.
    Honorary pallbearers were Scott Roberts, Charlie Powell, and Chris Webb, and his four brothers.
