Blondell “Dale” Richardson, Jr.

    Blondell “Dale” Richardson, Jr., age 51, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a long illness.
    He was born April 22, 1966 in Winchester and was the son of the late Blondell and Emma Wierman Richardson. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Richardson is survived by three sisters: Rhonda Tipton (Paul), Madison County; Camera Wiseman (Robby), and Andy Abney (Marty Stapleton), both of Estill County; and nieces and nephews: Trey Wiseman, Jessica Abney, Hank Wiseman and Hannah Abney.
    Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, April 11, 1:00 p.m., at the Sunset Memorial Gardens by Beatle Lisle.
    Pallbearers will be Trey Wiseman, Jessica Abney, Hank Wiseman, Hannah Abney, Beatle Lisle and Marty Stapleton.

Gracie V. Beckley, 94

    Gracie V. Beckley, age 94, of Highway 587 in Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
    She was born April 8, 1924 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Hallie Shouse Rogers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Church of Christ.
    Mrs. Beckley was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Beckley.
    She is survived by one daughter, Joy C. Beckley, Lee County; one son, Lloyd W. Beckley (Sue Carol), Estill County; one sister: Lee Beckley, Ohio; two brothers: Jim Rogers, Ohio; and Joe Rogers, Lee County; one grandchild, L.W. Beckley (Emily); and one great grandchild, Will Beckley.
    Mrs. Beckley was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Beckley; and two brothers: Conley Rogers and Onley Ray Rogers; and one grandchild, Chad Beckley.
    Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 12, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Robbie Rogers. Burial will be at the Donnelly Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Juanita Hensley-Middleton

    Juanita Hensley-Middleton, age 92, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger, surrounded by family.
    Juanita was born on December 25, 1925 in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Hume Wagers and Maude Wells Alcorn. She was a homemaker, loving mother, Grannie, and Great-Grannie. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Florence, Kentucky.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hensley; a son-in-law, Wayne Smith; four sisters: Cornelia Hale, Mildred Kelly, Mary Sparks, and Delma Fox; and three brothers, Howard Alcorn, Thomas Alcorn, and Hume Alcorn, Jr.
    Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Carolyn Ann Smith of Florence; two granddaughters: Pamela Carol Baker (Mike) of Union, and Bonita Lynn Johnson (Ernie) of Dry Ridge; three great grandsons: Michael Wayne Baker of Florence, Austin Wayne Johnson of Dry Ridge, and Shane Wesley Johnson of Dry Ridge; a great granddaughter, Shanda Leeann Johnson of Covington; two great granddaughters: Juliana Hicks and Arianna Hicks; and three brothers: Jim Alcorn, Gary Alcorn, both of Indiana; and Ray Alcorn of Michigan.
    Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Highway 42, Florence, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Immanuel Baptist Church, 7183 Pleasant Valley Road, Florence, Kentucky.

Mildred Christine Cooper

    Mildred Christine Cooper, age 80, of Cooper Drive in Irvine, Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a short illness.
    She was born January 12, 1938 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Nilie “Post” and Bessie Crowe Stone. She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem Baptist Church where she attended for 70 years. As a faithful servant of the Lord, she devoted much of her time to the church as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Women’s Missionary Union and the Sunshine Gang. She had served as a 4-H Leader and had worked at Meals on Wheels. She was an active member of the Homemaker’s Association and the Estill County Historical Society. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning, painting and making baskets.
    Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billy Eugene Cooper; one daughter, Pauline Muncie (Larry), Estill County; two sons: Marvin Cooper (Linda) and Raymond Cooper (Shurla), both of Estill County; seven grandchildren: Cynthia Townsend (Jerry), Matthew Cooper (Kristine), Alissa Taylor (Chan), Nathan Cooper (Garrianna), Jaime Wallace (Chris), Kristie Turner (Matt) and Lindsey Rogers (Josh); and 13 great grandchildren: Cale Wilson, Carson Wilson, Drake Cooper, Caleb Taylor, Blake Wallace, Chase Wallace, Norah Cooper, Reid Turner, Kinley Taylor, Maci Turner, Myla Wallace, Abram Cooper and Cooper Rogers.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters: Irene Richardson, Catherine Rose, and Ada Stamper; and one brother, Elton Stone.
    Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 6, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Jerry Smith. Burial was at the Sally Poore Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Thursday, April 5th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Nathan Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Cale Wilson, Carson Wilson, Jerry Townsend, Chris Wallace, Chan Taylor, Matt Turner and Josh Rogers.

    Daniel Tracy “Boone” Johnson, age 69, of Wolfinbarger Lane in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a short illness.
    He was born August 12, 1948 in Estill County and was the son of the late Clarence and Grace Willis Johnson. He was a former lawn care worker at West Irvine Cemetery and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Coffey Johnson; two daughters: Tracie Bishop (Robert) and April Shuler (Daniel), both of Irvine; three sisters: Frances Johnson Day, Carolyn Johnson Edmonson, and Ouida Johnson Farthing, all of Irvine; and four grandchildren: Trenton Daniel Alan Shuler, Brenton Ricky Lee Shuler, Julie Elizabeth Bishop and Breea Raelynn Kylie Shuler.
    He was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Johnson.
    Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 5, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Willie Hargus Gordon. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 4th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Deward Willis, Tommy Willis, Charlie Willis, Daniel Shuler, Gary Becknell and Roger Means.
    Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Coffey, Robert Bishop and Roger Marcum.

    Latusshia Brooks, age 78 of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at her residence.
    She was born December 3, 1939 in Estill County. She was retired from CMS in Stanton and was the Pentecostal Faith.
    Mrs. Brooks is survived by two sons: Robert Brooks (Reva Ann) of Clay City, and Vernon Brooks (Karen) of Irvine; two daughters: Evelyn Brooks and Donna Stone, both of Irvine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters: Alice Brooks, Betty Larrison and Hazel Woosley, all of Irvine.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Brooks; her parents, Elvia Snowden and Geneva Barnes; six brothers: Malcom Gene Tuttle, Robert Barnes, Richard Barnes, Sam Barnes, William Barnes, and Glenn Barnes; and three sisters: Geraldine Barnes, Zella Conner and Orea Jones.
    Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel, 201 7th Avenue in Clay City, with Bro. Sammy Patrick and Bro. Marvin Neal officiating. Friends visited from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial was in the Brooks – Means Cemetery in Irvine.

Debra Denise Crawford

    Debra Denise Prewitt Crawford, age 55, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 in Lexington, Kentucky, after a short illness.
    She was born February 16, 1963 to Leon and Tula West Prewitt.
    Debbie was preceded in death by several loved ones, one of whom was her husband Tandy Wayne Crawford of Irvine.
    In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children: Laura Whitney Mays of Irvine, Hannah Deshay Crawford of Frankfort, and Tory Wayne Alan Crawford of Lexington; and her brother, Ricky Prewitt (Marina) and their children, Nick and Gabby Prewitt, all of Ravenna. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
    Debbie was an avid photographer, gardener and pet groomer. She loved all animals and riding horses. She lived her life with passion and always seemed to make the day brighter. Debbie loved the Lord and used her talent for singing and playing music to praise Him often.
    Debbie had many people she considered her special friends, one of which is John Moore who was very precious to her. She loved being with her friends and family and enjoyed every minute they were all together. Debbie had an infectious laugh that was unmistakable and could lighten up the heaviest loads just by showing up.
    No funeral service is planned. However, a gathering was held at Christian Worship Center, located at 105 Broadway in Irvine, for friends and family on Friday, April 6th, starting at 6:00 p.m.

    Lisa Marie Sidles, age 45, of Reges Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at her home.
    She was born June 26, 1972 in Madison County and was the daughter of Bernice S. Plymon and the late Joseph W. Sidles. She was a nurse and an Honorary Texan. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Survivors, in addition to her mother, include two daughters: Amanda B. Adkins, Clark County; and Alexandar P. Bishop, Estill County.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Verneda Johnson Plymon and J.W. and Agnes Sidles.
    Private services will be held at a later date.

Sonny Brinegar

    Sonny Brinegar, age 68, of Substation Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    He was born October 4, 1949, in Estill County, a son of the late Foister and Ella Jo Richardson Brinegar. He retired from being a self-employed construction worker and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He attended the Pentecostal Church.
    Mr. Brinegar is survived by a son, Ean Nathaniel Brinegar, Georgia; a daughter, Katherine Paige Brinegar, Lee County; and four sisters, Ina Elliott (Charles), Catherine McGee (Delmar), Phyllis Horn, and Patricia Eades (Jerry), all of Estill County; two sisters-in-law: Mary Brinegar (Duke) and Janice Brinegar (Jack), both of Estill County; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Foister and Ella Jo Richardson Brinegar; one daughter, Andrea Lee Brinegar; a brother in law Jimmy Horn; two sisters: Beulah Faye Jewell and Barbara Nadine Jewell; and eight brothers Wallace Jewell, Ellis Lindberg Jewell, Billy Douglas Jewell, Samuel Glen Lambert, Elmer Charles Brinegar, Foister Brinegar Jr., Roy Don Brinegar, and Jackie Lee Brinegar.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 31, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Friends called after 1-3 p.m., with services at 3:00 p.m.
    The family hopes you were able to attend the visitation and services to celebrate Sonny's life and homecoming to be with the Lord.

    Mafrey Townsend, age 61, of Clearview Drive in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a short illness.
    She was born April 16, 1956, in Breathitt County, a daughter of the late Luther and Letha Barrett McIntosh. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County for the past 6 years.
    Mrs. Townsend was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Townsend.
    She is survived by a son, Michael McIntosh (Lisa), Lee County; one sister, Nancy Stewart, Breathitt County; four grandchildren: Mickeal Ambers, Nathaniel Ambers, Jaden Williams and Jocelyn Townsend; and two special nieces: Abby Townsend and Mary Taylor.
    Mrs. Townsend was preceded in death by five sisters: Fannie McIntosh, Dorie McIntosh, Louise Turner, Wanda Combs, and Mary Ann Reynolds; and three brothers: Lee, Luther Jr., and Oscar McIntosh.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 31, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Keith Adkins with burial following in the Heavens Gate Cemetery in Beattyville. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday.

    Brenda Lou Puckett, age 60, of Noland’s Creek Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
    She was born January 12, 1958 in Estill County and was the daughter of Mary Joyce Miller Warner and the late Harold E. Warner. She was a retired Toyota employee and a member of the Bethel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond John Puckett.
    Survivors, in addition to her mother, include three sons: Edward Ray Puckett (Melisa), Adam William Puckett and Nicholas Kyle Puckett, all of Estill County; two sisters: Pamela Warner and Ruby Johnson, both of Estill County; three brothers: Harold Wayne Warner, Estill County; Zackie Warner, Clark County; and Ronnie Warner, Estill County; and nine grandchildren: Nathaniel Rose, Lynley Puckett, Clayton Ray Witt, Adam Michael Puckett, Jed Puckett, Gracie Puckett, Raeleigh Jo Puckett, Nevaeh Grace Puckett and Travis Clay Flynn.
    She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Shenneya Puckett

Sarah Margaret Hager Woosley, 82

    Sarah Margaret Hager Woosley, 82, of Berea, Kentucky, formerly of Lexington, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at The Terrace in Berea.
    Mrs. Woosley, the daughter of the late Ellard Hager and Annie Rhodus Hager, was born in Fayette County on May 29, 1935. She was a member of the Porter Memorial Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Jesse Woosley who preceded her in death.
    She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Shirley Hager and Nelson Hager and sister, Mildred Cook.
    Mrs. Woosley is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
    A Committal Service was conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville with Johny Collins officiating.
