Kenneth Ray McKinney, 64

    Kenneth Ray McKinney, age 64, of 8th Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness.
    He was born June 6, 1954 in Estill County and was the son of the late Hurley McKinney and Jeannette Stevens. He was a truck driver with Swift and a member of the First Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife, Gwen Ellen Brantley McKinney; two daughters: Ashley Jean Oliver and Kendra Carpenter (Anthony), both of Estill County; two sisters: Charlotte Webb (Fred) and Janice Hoover, both of Estill County; one brother, Roger McKinney, Jefferson County; and eight grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by two sisters: Linda Adams and Brenda Shouse.
    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 20, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Greg Humpert. Burial will be at the Stevens Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, until service time at the funeral home.

Juanita Faye Harrison, 65


Juanita Faye Harrison

    Juanita Faye Harrison, age 65, wife of Stephen Harrison, Stanton, Kentucky, moved to her new address in heaven on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington.
    Born in Winchester on September 15, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Homer Rogers and Mila Bellamy Rogers. Juanita was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Irvine and co-owner of Stanton Taxi Service. She was a former nurse that has hosted 26 foreign exchange students.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Roach.
    Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband, Stephen Harrison; two sons: Jeffery Smith (Kelly) of Alabama and Jason Smith of Stanton; two daughters: Stephanie Shelton (Aaron) of Beattyville and Julia Harrison of Jeffersonville, Indiana; one brother, Shelby Rogers (Brenda) of Jeffersonville; and four grandchildren: Jason Christopher Smith, Mackenzie Roach, Spencer Shelton and Katie Shelton.
    Funeral services officiated by Bro. Ed Tackett and Bro. Scott Rogers were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17th at the funeral home. Burial was in Stanton Cemetery with Brandon Griffith, Sammy Rose, Todd Morgan, Jason "Bub" Smith, James Harrison and Josh Harrison serving as active pallbearers.

Robert Lee Wilson, 42

    Robert Lee Wilson, 42, husband of Amy Kelley Wilson, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018.
    Mr. Wilson was a native of Estill County, born November 17, 1975, a son of Donna Richardson Sowder, and the late Lester Wilson.
    Survivors other than his wife and mother include his daughter, Leslie Wilson; his grandchildren, Madalynn Lee, Aailyah, Camden Tipton, and his son-in-law, Casey Tipton.
    Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Burial followed in the Richardson Cemetery. Friends called from 12:00 Noon until service time, Saturday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Casey Tipton, Lucas Decker, David Coffey, Loan Worrell, Rex Hardy, and Danny Hardy.

Argene F. Benton, 88

    Argene F. Benton, age 88, of Cherry Street in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
    She was born August 1, 1929 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Park Wade and Lura Winkle Fowler. She was a retired employee of the Estill County Board of Education and a member of the Eastern Star. She attended the White Oak Church of God and had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Benton was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas “Tommy” Benton and their daughter, Mary Clay Benton.
    She is survived by three sisters: Mildred Cox, Bobbie Sue Aines and Charlotte Roberts, all of Estill County; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Farmer.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 16, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Matthew Marshall and Bro. Donnie Watson. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Friday, June 15th at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Warren Combs, Gary Beeler, Matthew Woolery, Clay Combs, Juda Short, and John Duvall.

Jimmie Fox, 85

    Jimmie Fox, 85, widower of Elizabeth Powell Fox, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
    Mr. Fox was born June 15, 1937, a son of the late John and Hannah Chamberlain Fox. Mr. Fox served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was a retired employee of the Stearns and Foster Company, a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
    He was preceded in death by his sons: Michael Powell and Jeffery Fox; his sisters: Gracie Fox, Mamie Garland, and Agnes Mansfield; and his brothers: Glendon Fox, Ernie Fox, and Johnny Fox.
    Survivors include his son, Jimmie Wayne Fox (Nancy); his granddaughter, Leah Marie Fox; his sister, Lucille Wagers; and a special niece, Shelby Jean Dupay.
    Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals with Bro. Sherl Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Mackey Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends called anytime after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, until service time, at the funeral home.

Mary Elizabeth Hardy, 90

    Mary Elizabeth Hardy, age 90, of Hardy Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born January 30, 1928 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Elihue and Hallie Kirby. She was a homemaker and member of the Crystal Pentecostal Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Hardy.
    She is survived by one daughter, Mildred Townsend (Carlos), Estill County; two sons: Kiser Hardy (Mary Lou) and Leo Hardy, both of Estill County; one brother, Lewis Kirby, Estill County; ten grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 14 great, great grandchildren.
    Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by two daughters: Patsy Luster and Mary Lois Hardy; one son, Arnold Hardy; one grandchild, Donnie Luster; four sisters: Alverta Ashcraft, Mattie Walters, Maggie Hardy, and Chaney Riddell; and four brothers: Joe, Hugh Jr., Mid and Robert Kirby.
    Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 14, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro. Tony Riddell. Burial was at the Hardy Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 13th at the funeral home.

    Raymond Fike, age 63, of Sealy Road in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at his home following a short illness.
    He was born August 10, 1954 in Estill Co, and was the son of the late Glendon and Lula Johnson Fike. He was the owner of the Looking Glass and had lived in Indiana most of his life.
    Mr. Fike was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McConnell Fike.
    He is survived by one daughter,Angela Fike, Indiana; three sisters: Jean Hopeck, Florida; Charlotte Bruce and Lisa Jones, both of Indiana; three brothers: Glen Fike, Indiana; Lester Fike, Ohio; and Tim Fike, Indiana; and four grandchildren: Blaze Fike, Cazee Austin, Cohen Austin and Sierra Austin
    Mr. Fike was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Alan Fike; one sister, Linda Miller; and one brother, Sammy Fike.
    Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, June 12, 12:00 p.m. at the Cane Springs Cemetery.

Aaron Keith “Blue” Mays

    Aaron Keith “Blue” Mays, age 39 of Mary K. Isaacs Road, McKee, Kentucky, son of Yvonne Ruth Mays and the late Hershel Mays was born July 2, 1978 and departed this life on Monday, May 24, 2018 at his home in McKee.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Traci Ann Ross Mays; two sons, Zachary Ryan Mays and Braydon Charlie Mays, both of McKee; a daughter, Amber Cheyenne Mays of Paris; two sisters: Andrea Roe Vance of McKee and Kimberly Angel of Radcliff; four brothers: Denny Mays of Beattyville, Harold Mays of Kodak, Tennessee; Scott Mays of Beattyville; and Gary Mays of Paint Lick; his grandmother, Myrtle Brandenburg; and by several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his daddy, Harold Cecil Mays; and three brothers: Mike Mays, Larry Joe Mays Sr. and Larry Joe Mays Jr.
    Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at Lakes Funeral Home in McKee. Burial followed in the Gray Cemetery.

    George Jordan, Jr., age 74, of Racetrack Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital.
    He was born August 2, 1943 in Estill County, and was the son of the late George, Sr. and Olga Means Jordan. He was a farmer and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
    Mr. Jordon had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    He is survived by six sons: Jeff Jordan, Danny Jordan, both of Irvine; Edward Jordan, Lexington; Mark Jordan, Irvine; Tony Jordan, Clay City; and Jason Jordan, Irvine; two sisters: Mary Kirby, Irvine; and Peggy Powell, Clay City; three brothers: James Jordan, Owingsville; Tommy Jordan and Patrick Jordan, both of Beattyville; six grandchildren, one great grandchild; and his former spouse, Minnie Jordan, Clay City.
    He was preceded in death by three sisters: Brenda Jordan, Carolyn Jordan, and Betty Shuler; and one brother, Jerry Jordan.

    Whitney Elizabeth Berryman, age 29, of Lexington Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a long illness.
    She was born March 8, 1989 in Montgomery County and was the daughter of Jeff Berryman and the late Jamie Bowling Grubb. She was a former employee of European Motors and had lived in Madison County most of her life.
    Survivors, in addition to her father, include one daughter, Kendall Elene Johnson, Estill County; one son, Jace Carter Gerald, Madison County; her grandparents: Jimmy Bowling, Fayette County; Patricia Noe and Irene Bell, both of Estill County; her great grandparents: Edna Spivey and Lena Wilson, both of Estill County; one sister, Leandrea Berryman, Estill County; two brothers: Blake Grubb, Madison County; and Jeffery Berryman, Estill County; and several aunts and uncles.

    She was born December 28, 1977 in Estill County and was the daughter of Farris Marcum and Mildred Hobbs Moore. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Christina is survived by her husband, Jeff Clark; one daughter, Briana Nicole Marcum, Estill County; one son, Derek Wayne Hisel, Estill County; two sisters: Rhonda Gail Marcum, Madison County; and Annette Moore, Estill County; and three brothers: Farrell Marcum, Farris Glynn Marcum, both of Estill County; and Tony Marcum, Indiana.

    She was born August 24, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio and was the daughter of Anna Lois Smith Arvin and the late Charles Paul Arvin. She was a former employee of Carhartt, Inc. and JCPenney. She attended the South Irvine Pentecostal Church of God and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Randall Steve Harrison; four sisters: Phyllis Rawlins, Irvine; Wanda Elliott (Steve), Stanford; Elaine Teagarden (Ricky), Berea; and Brenda Aldridge (Bill), Irvine; two brothers: Gary Arvin (Becky), Winchester; and Paul Dwayne “Bird” Arvin (Monica), Irvine; and several nieces and nephews.

Jamie LaGina Grubb

    Jamie LaGina Grubb, 45, passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2018 at her home.
    She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on July 2, 1972. Jamie was a former RN for Central Baptist Hospital and was currently the office manager for Olympic Steel. She was a very compassionate and devoted friend, sister and mother.
    Survivors include her children, Blake Grubb and Whitney Berryman; her father, Jimmy Bowling; her mother, Pat Noe; a special friend, Chris Thompson; a brother, Jason Bowling (Sarah); two sisters, Terri Noe and Stephanie Reed; two grandchildren, Kendall Johnson and Jace Gerald; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
    She was preceded in death by: her husband, Gary Grubb; and one brother, Kevin Bowling.
    Funeral Services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with burial follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m., Friday, June 1st, at the funeral home.
