Anthony C. Jones

    Anthony C. Jones, age 58, husband of Patricia Ann Jones, Broadway Street, Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his home.
    He was born March 13, 1960 in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Robert Chester and Ora Lee Barnes Jones.
    Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Jones, Irvine; two sons, James Lee Riley and Shawn Riley; two daughters, Michelle Davis and Melanie Munday (Matthew); three brothers, Chester Ray Jones, Danny Jones, and Travis Jones; two sisters, Jessie May Moore and Melissa Bailey; 10 grandchildren; and two grandsons with one more on the way.
    Services were held on Tuesday, August 7, 2:00 p.m. at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton, by Tim Hoffman-Verble and Roy Murphey. Visitation was on Monday, August 6th, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in the King Family Cemetery in Estill County with Gene Murphey, Billy Murphey, Matthew Munday, Jacob Munday, Scottie Barnes, Daniel Potter, Billy Murphy, and Madelyn Barnes serving as pallbearers.

Kenneth Ray Woosley

    Kenneth Ray Woosley, 83, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Irvine Health and Rehab Center.
    He was native of Estill County, born July 2, 1935, a son of the late Wilson and Leoma Howard Woosley. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with horses and tack.
    Mr. Woosley was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Havens.
    Survivors include his children Judy Anderson (Glenn), Sherry Stamper (Tommy) , Angela Miller (Jamie), and Jeffery Woosley; his brother, Bobby Woosley; his sister, Janice Reynolds; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.
    Services were held on Tuesday, August 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Friends called from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday. Burial followed in the Wills & Stephens Cemetery.

Lewis Wayne Crowe, 53

    Lewis Wayne Crowe, age 53, of Furnace Junction in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, at his home.
    He was born January 20, 1965 in Estill County and was the son of Reubin Esco and Raymona Lynn Patton Crowe. He was a farmer and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Survivors in addition to his father and mother include one sister, Jeanetta Rogers (Terry), Estill County; two brothers: Rickie Steven (Betty) and Tommy Crowe, both of Estill County; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Crowe.
    Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 7, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bobby Puckett. Burial was at the Crowe Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Monday, August 2nd at the funeral home.

Ronnie Dale Williams, 63

    Ronnie Dale Williams, age 63, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his home.
    He was born May 11, 1955 in Madison County and was the son of Robert “Bo” Williams and the late Beulah Neal Williams. He was a retired Leggett & Platt employee and attended the Baptist Church. He had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Shirley Wilson Williams; two sons: Ronnie Williams, Jr. and James Wesley Williams, both of Clark County; two sisters: Teresa Prater (Tim) and Margie Woolery (Lloyd), both of Estill County; one brother: Wesley Williams (Betty), Ohio; and six grandchildren: Robert Dale Williams, Charles Wesley Williams, Destiny Mae Williams, Ryan Scott Williams, Katlyn Dawn Williams and James Clarence Williams.
    Memorial services were conducted Sunday, August 5, 2:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Lloyd Woolery. Friends called after 1:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Boyd B. Neal, 92

    Boyd B. Neal, age 92, of Ruby Lane in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
    He was born January 28, 1926 in Estill County and was the son of the late Terry and Zettie Henderson Neal. He was a United States Army Air Force veteran who served during World War II. He was a retired General Motors employee and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ashcraft Neal.
    He is survived by one sister, Shirley Gleason, Waynesville, Ohio; one brother, Malcom Neal, Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren; two special nieces: Rhonda Tipton (Paul), Berea; and Paula Thomas (Wes), Ravenna; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives.
    Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his son, Boyd Keith Neal, six sisters: Lily Tipton, Bessie Wise, Dora Wolfinbarger, Betty Day, Lee Ora Neal, and Melinda Neal; and six brothers: Buford, Junior, Estes, Hugh, Virgil and Lawrence Neal.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 4, 2:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Albert F. Schooler. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends called after 12:00 Noon, Saturday, at the funeral home.

Glenna Gail Powell, 60

    Glenna Gail Powell, age 60, of South Winn Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
    She was born June 24, 1958 in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Glyn and Blanche Brewer Tipton. She was a retired employee of the Eye Care Center and was a member of the Cow Creek Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband, James William Powell; one daughter, Staci Renee Puckett (Eric), Estill County; one sister, Judy Wolfinbarger (Wilgus), Estill County; one brother, Jackie Tipton (Marie), Estill County; a sister-in-law, Jo Auxier, Estill County; one grandchild, Shalee Puckett; and her granddog, Roxy.
    She was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Tipton.
    Funeral services were conducted Thursday, August 2, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Chris Greene, Bro. Joe Lahrmer and Dr. William R. Reynolds. Burial was at the Sonny Powell Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Wednesday, August 1st at the funeral home.

Nekea Ray Rose

    Nekea Ray Rose, son of William Rose and the late Linda Spivey Rose was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 20, 1982 and departed this life in Manchester, Kentucky on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 9 days.
    He is survived by his father, William and step mother, Tonya; two children, Tristin and Bailey Rose, both of Irvine; three brothers: JJ Rose, Irvine; Luke and Mike Rose, both of Richmond, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
    Nekea is preceded in death by his mother, Linda; and one brother, Josh Rose.
    Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 31, at Newnam Funeral Home Chapel, 108 Center Street in Beattyville; with services on Wednesday, August 1st officiated by William Rose at the funeral home. Burial was in the Buck Creech Cemetery at Williba in Lee County.

Bobby J. Fowler, 83

    Bobby J. Fowler, age 83, of Camden, Ohio, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Monday, July 23, 2018.
    Bobby was born in Irvine, Kentucky on August 18, 1934 to Louis Fowler and Cora Mays Fowler. He was employed at Diebold for over 30 years as a welder.
    Bobby is survived by his wife, Patricia Fowler; his children, Kevin Fowler and Stephen Fowler; cherished granddaughters, Kristen and Stephanie; and cherised grandson, Adam; six great grandchildren; and his brothers, Jeffrey Fowler and John A. Fowler.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora Fowler and Louis Fowler; and one son, Dennis Fowler.
    The funeral service was held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Denny Matheny officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation was held on Friday, July 27, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at funeral home.

Flossie Verna Shuler

    Flossie Verna Shuler, age 81, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Windsor Care Center, Mt. Sterling.
    Born June 13, 1937, in Estill County she was the daughter of the late Wesley Shuler and the late Mertie Gross Shuler. Flossie was a retired private caretaker and member of West Bend Church of God.
    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers: Roy Shuler, Elmer Shuler and Gary Shuler; and by five sisters: Clara Abney, Ollie Branham, Ivory Crowe, Ella Spencer and Dovie Branham.
    She is survived by her brother, Jim Shuler of Clay City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services officiated by Bro. George Sparks were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, at Hearne Funeral Home Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation began at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 30th at the funeral home. Burial was in Cobb Hill Cemetery, Irvine, with Bobby Shuler, Henry Branham, Ledford Shuler, Ricky Shuler, Billy Abney and Danny Shuler serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Stella Jones, Bertha Wiseman and members of the West Bend Church of God.

Mary Katherine Isaacs, 82

    Mary Katherine Isaacs was born October 8, 1936 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky, being 82 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Stanton & Velma Reece Marcum.
    She is survived by four children: Dennis Isaacs, Jerry Isaacs, both of McKee; Teresa Richardson (Scott Getman) of Cookeville, Tennessee; and Debra Newman (Ricky) of Beattyville; two brothers: Elmon Marcum of Berea and Jackie Marcum of McKee; and four sisters: Lorena Brockman of Irvine, Hope Marcum of London, Joy Marcum of McKee, and Carolyn Brandenburg of Mt. Vernon. She was blessed with one granddaughter, Tiffany Richardson.
    In addition to her parents, Mary Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Isaacs; and by her brother, Dotson Marcum. She was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.
    Funeral service was at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, at Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial followed in the Isaacs Family Cemetery.

    Eloise Kates Richardson, age 69, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a short illness.
    She was born November 27, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana and was the daughter of the late James and Opal Laswell Kates. She was a retired Carhartt, Inc. employee and a member of the Old Time Baptist Church.
    Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband, Lewis Byron Richardson; two daughters: Katrina Norris (Dane), Richmond, Indiana; and Jennifer Dreaden (Rodney), Irvine; one son, Charles Rose, Richmond, Indiana; one sister, Carolyn Glass (Gary), Bowling Green; three brothers: Eugene Kates (Tomma), Centerville, Indiana; Danny Kates (Kinam) and James Kates Jr. (Melissa), both of Richmond, Indiana; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a special grandson that she raised, Dustin Street, Irvine.
    Friends called between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, at Community Family Funeral Home in Richmond, Indiana, with graveside services following at Goshen Cemetery.

Beverly Gene Miller

    Beverly Gene Miller, age 92, of Garrett Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    He was born April 18, 1926 in Estill County and was the son of the late Pearl and Ollie Frances Ashcraft Miller. He was a retired yard master with the CSX Railroad and was a member of the Irvine Masonic Lodge #137. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon since 1957.
    Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, BonEva Hall Miller.
    He is survived by one daughter, Diana Long (Danny), Estill County; and one son, Larry Quentin Miller (Janice), Estill County; three grandchildren: Gregory Alan Osborne (Michelle), Larry Kevin Miller (Dana) and LaTisha Berrey (Ben); and six great grandchildren: Marlee Kate Miller, Katelyn Renee Osborne, Grant Miller, Brandon Osborne, Shelbee Isabella Miller and Lincoln Berrey.
    He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Dana Long Simpson; three sisters: Hazel Cloetta, Helen Ruth Wise, and Mavis MaGee; and one brother, Ernest Dunaway.
    Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 30, 1:00 p.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church by Bro. Marc McLean. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Sunday, July 29th at the Church. Masonic rites were performed Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
    Pallbearers were Tom Whitaker, Kevin Miller, Greg Osborne, Jimmy Wise, Kenny Barker, Ben Berrey, Grant Miller and Brandon Osborne.

Beverly “Faye” Hahn Turpin

    Beverly “Faye” Hahn Turpin, age 73, passed away Tuesday evening, July 24, 2018 at her home.
    Faye was the daughter of the late Earl Warren Hahn and Ann Crowe Hawley. She was born on December 31, 1944 in Madison County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hargett Church of God.
    She is survived by her husband, Bro. William “Forrest” Turpin; one son, Glenn Turpin; two daughters: Donna Turpin Jones (Tommy) of Waco and Kim Turpin (Rick Johnson) of Richmond; a sister, Angela Hahn Kaylor; seven grandchildren: Kellie Clements (Earl), Chris Abrams (Krystal), Shawn Jones (Rachel), Billy Roark (Tabitha), Kent Turpin (Kenzie), Taylor Jones (Brooke) and Kayla Harrell (Charlie); twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
    Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jo Donna Hahn; and a niece, Missy Matthews Kelley.
    Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m., Thursday evening, July 26th at the funeral home.
    Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons.

Rickey Lane Nobles Sr, 66

    Rickey Lane Nobles Sr, 66, of Ravenna, Kentucky, originally from Lake Wales, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home with his family.
    He was born in Groveland, Florida, on February 24, 1952, a son of the late Alton and Mattie Blackman Nobles. He was a pipe fitter and welder for the FMC Corporation for 25 years. Rickey loved restoring classic cars. Hot Rods were his life. He traveled the USA and met so many good friends. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a certified scuba diver, a carpenter, electrician, mechanic, woodworker, and a jokester.
    Rickey lived much of his life in Alabama with his family. He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own. He was a member of car clubs and showed classic cars and won many awards with his '23 T-Bucket that he has built, for 35 years.
    He is survived by the love of his life and wife for 50 years, B.J. Nobles; his daughters: Jeanie Ann Gailes and Jessica Barber; his son, Rickey Lane Nobles Jr; his grandchildren: Robble Gene Bowles, Rickey Lane Nobles III, Summer Cheyenne Nobles, and Seth Paterson; and great grandchildren: Marley Brooke Bowles and Aubrey Nichole Sharpe.
    A memorial service was held at his home on Wednesday, July 18th at 4:00 p.m.
