Linville O’Hair Jr.

    Linville O’Hair Jr., age 59 of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away at his residence, Saturday, April 6, 2019.
    He was born in Campton, April 2, 1960 to Linville Sr. and Betty Haggard O’Hair. He was a retired contractor.
    Mr. O'Hair is survived by his wife, Kim O’Hair of Richmond; a daughter, Natasha O’Hair and her husband Jeff Knox of Clay City; two stepdaughters: Amanda Thomas of London, Kentucky; and Kayland VanBrue of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, a stepbrother, Wayne Howard of Clay City; and a sister, LibbyJo Bowman of Ravenna.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Linville Sr. and Betty O’Hair; and a brother, John O’Hair.
    Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel, 201 7th Avenue, in Clay City with Bro. James Combs officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the O’Hair Cemetery in Estill County.

    Eddie Lynn Watson, age 66, passed away, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Kentucky.
    He was born July 14, 1952 in Powell County to the late Jesse B. and Bessie McCoy Watson.
    Survivors include, brothers, Jimmy Watson and Jesse Duwain Watson; and sisters, Jonell Barnes, Patsy Powell, and Barbara Cole.
    Visitation Saturday, April 6, 6-8 p.m., at Davis and Davis Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky.

Jackie Gayle Miller

    Jackie Gayle Miller, age 61 of Paint Lick, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington.
    He was born in Madison County on December 17, 1957, the son of Blanche Rison Miller and the late Floyd Miller. He grew up in Pryse, Kentucky, and was employed by CSX Railroad for 17 years. He later went on to work in excavation for another 17 years. He was an avid Nascar and John Deere fan. His children and grandchildren were the joys of his life.
    Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alesia Dennis Miller; his mother, Blanche Miller of Irvine; two sons: Chad Miller (Jennifer) of Richmond and Nick Miller (Bobbi Jo) of Berea; one daughter, Amy Rapier (Ralph) of Paint Lick; two brothers: Earl Miller (Carolyn) of Lancaster and Tony Miller (Lisa) of Irvine; one sister, Lou Ann Hall (Darrell) of Irvine; his mother- and father-in-law, Ruby and Earl Dennis of Richmond; nine grandchildren: Wesley Marcum, Wyatt Marcum, Walker Marcum, Austin Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Landon Miller, Zachary Miller, Warren Rapier, and Peyton Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Wilder Rapier.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, with Dr. Jerry Huffman and Bro. Clarence Rison officiating. Burial will follow in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, April 8th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Greg Kirby, Josh Miller, Chris Miller, Dustin Miller, Wesley Marcum, and Dennis Lakes.
    Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

    Paul A. Tipton, 55, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Baptist Health Lexington.
    He was born January 1, 1964 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Vernon and Mattie Brineger Tipton.
    Survivors include, sons, Anthony Tipton and Derick Parks; granddaughter, Lyla Tipton; brother, Mike Tipton; and a sister, Janetta Ashcraft.
    Services Monday, April 8, 1:00 p.m., at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, 777 W. College Avenue, Stanton by Rev. Tony Story. Visitation Sunday, April 7th, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial in McIntosh Cemetery, Irvine with Devon Miller, Bryan Ashcraft, Mike Tipton, Rick Tipton, Scott Ruffin, and Ethan Moses serving as pallbearers.

Maynard Cole, Jr., 78

    Maynard Cole, Jr., age 78, of 8th Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
    He was born April 9, 1940 in Madison County and was the son of the late Maynard and Rhoda Clouse Cole. He was a retired truck driver with World Wide Trucking and a member of the Salem Christian Church. He was a United States Army veteran.
    Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Cockrell Cole.
    He is survived by one daughter, Connie Arthur (Rick), Ravenna; one son, Clinton Cole (Sherri), Irvine; one sister, Rosalee Lawson, Richmond; one brother, Tom Cole, Richmond; four grandchildren: Melissa, Jennifer, Tabitha, and Jared; and 10 great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Travis; and three brothers: Ed, Alfred and Bud Cole.
    Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 7, 2:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Saturday, April 6th at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Jared Cole, Trae Burns, Ronnie Riddell, James Sparks, Logan Arthur and Steve Crowe.

Joyce Tine McKinney, 72

    Joyce Tine McKinney, age 72, of King Cemetery Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
    She was born January 30, 1947 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Gracie Lee Gray Gilbert. She was a homemaker and member of the Turning Point Apostolic Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Claude McKinney.
    She is survived by three daughters: Wanda Watson, Gracie Lee Henry, and Tamara Lynn Isaacs; two sons: Ronald Glynn McKinney and Joey Allen McKinney; four sisters: Mattie Winkler, Wanda Young, Ida Mae Wumbles, and Emmaline McIntosh; one brother, Buell Gilbert; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by two sisters: Dovie Lynch and Henrietta Lynch; and three brothers: Scotty, Danny and Charles Gilbert.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 6, 2:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Larry McIntosh. Burial was at the Hoover Cemetery. Friends called after 12 Noon, Saturday, at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were Brad Brooks, Michael Ferguson, Steven Ferguson, Steven Brooks, Aaron Isaacs and Robert Henry.

    Steven Dewey McDowell, 37, son of Thomas McDowell, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019.
    He was a native of Estill County, born March 2, 1982, a son of Thomas McDowell, and the late Nancy Hall McDowell. He was a mechanic.
    Mr. McDowell was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McDowell; and a nephew, Logan McDowell.
    Survivors, other than his father, include his brothers: Kenny Rison, Thomas Dewayne McDowell, Michael McDowell, and Chad Newman; his sisters: Brenda Roberts (Eddie) and Tina Spencer (Will); and his nieces and nephews: James McDowell, Ceara McDowell, Kendra McDowell, Ryan McDowell, and Riley McDowell.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 6-9 p.m., at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals, 224 Main Street, with services on Monday, April 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Julia Green Tipton Randall, 79, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky, after a long illness.
    She was a native of Estill County, born February 26, 1940, a daughter of the late Oliver Lee and Myrtie Neal Tipton. She was a farmer and a homemaker.
    Mrs. Randall was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Crawford.
    Survivors include her son, Ronald Crawford; her daughters Carol Sue Randall, Sandy Crawford, and Leona McGuire; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6th at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in the Moberly Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon until service time, Friday, at the funeral home.

Russell Hurley, 73

    Russell Hurley, 73, husband of Donna Gross Hurley, died Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Marcum Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky.
    Mr. Hurley was a native of Estill County, born October 30, 1945, a son of the late Willie and Beatrice Plowman Hurley. He was Mason, and retired employee of Bundy Tubing.
    Russell was preceded in death by his siblings Kathryn, Dale, Bradley and Matthew Hurley.
    Survivors, other than his wife of 56 years, Donna, include his daughter, Debbie Callahan (Wayne); his sister, Mary Karen Johnson (Horace); his brother, Mitchell Hurley; his special family members, Calvin and Ellar; his grandsons: Christopher West, Joshua Callahan, and Christian Callahan; his granddaughter, Emaleigh Bowman; and several great grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals. Burial will follow in the South Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 1st, with Masonic rites to be held that evening.

    Shelia Evanoff, age 63, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine.
    She was born in Lee County, Kentucky, March 23, 1956 to Clarence and Emmaline Hogan. She was a member of the Living Water Church in Clay City and a homemaker.
    Mrs. Evanoff is survived by five sons: Timothy Evanoff (Stacy) of Irvine, Nicholas Evanoff, Mark Evanoff, William Evanoff (Chrissy), and John Evanoff (Bobby Jo), all of Clay City; two daughters: Robin Huff (Billy) of Booneville, and Angel Smith (Charles) of Clay City; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; four brothers: Curtis Hogan, Ernest Hogan, Vernon Hogan, and Cephus Hogan; and six sisters: Brenda Begley, Mattie Taylor, Ann Winkleman, Mary Buchanan, Joan Bryant and Judy Ball.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Emmaline Barrett Hogan, her husband, Amos Evanoff; three brothers: Roy Hogan, Ronnie Hogan, and Jeff Hogan; and two sisters: Linda Johnson and Rosalee Hogan.

Tina Lou Ann Gabbard

    Tina Lou Ann Gabbard was born November 4, 1973 in Manchester, Kentucky, and departed this life Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, being 45 years of age. She was daughter of Sally Hacker Gabbard Fields of McKee and of the late Isaac Burnis Gabbard.
    In addition to her mother, Lou Ann is survived by three sons, David Ray Eversole of Annville, Delbert Ball Jr. and Jonathan Ball both of Tyner; and by her boyfriend, Bill Rednour of Monticello. She is also survived by the following siblings, Jason Gabbard (Lyn) of McKee, Burnis Ray Gabbard of Annville, Julie Deaton (Jackie) of McKee, Ruthie Abney (Robert) of Irvine and Brenda Deaton (Shelby) of Manchester. She was blessed with one grandchild, Braelynne Ball.
    Other than her father, Lou Ann was preceded in death by a nephew, Clarence Culton; and by two brothers, Isaac “Ike” Gabbard and Gary Gabbard.
    Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Lakes McKee Funeral Home, 1181 Main Street South, McKee, with Bro. Jason Moore officiating. Burial to follow in the Medlock & Annville Cemetery.
