Judy Ann Walters, 59

Judy Ann Walters, age 59, of North Maple Street in Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Clark Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
She was born January 21, 1961 in Estill County and was the daughter of Anna Mae Estes Walters and the late John Thomas Walters. She attended the Church of God.
Survivors in addition to her mother include one sister, Sandy Moore, Irvine; two brothers: Thomas Walters and Billy Walters, both of Irvine; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and special friends: Nancy Isaacs and Linda Reynolds.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 4, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bill Curtis. Burial will be at the Steve Walters Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 3rd at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Walters, Dustin Moore, David Moore, Buck Walters, Eddie Walters and Danny Plowman.
Honorary pallbearer will be Scotty Ruth.
Henry Melvin "Hoss" Cooper, 95

Henry Melvin "Hoss" Cooper, age 95, Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Irvine, Kentucky, and worked on the family farm before joining the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed in Central Burma and received two bronze stars, a Good Conduct Metal, and Victory Medal WWII.
After returning from the war, Henry worked for TVA, Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital, and Eastview Memorial Gardens, and was always willing to help others.
Henry was so proud of his beloved wife, Doris Cooper, and the fact that they never had a cross word. Together they lived in Sevierville and were members of The Gathering where he was honored to have his very own chair. He loved his church family and friends. Henry Melvin Cooper was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Effie Cooper; siblings: Katherine Hill, Clara Henry, Minnie Sanders, William Cooper, Arthur Lee Cooper, and Owen Cooper.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Cooper; siblings: Calvin Ray Cooper, Billy Gene Cooper, Wilma Jo Parsons, Nancy Rhodes, and Virginia Withers; children: Robin Whaley, Ann Schmidt, Mary Lou Miller (Brian), Mike Adams (Teresa), Dennis Adams (Jill); grandchildren: Scott Schmidt, Melissa Goldsmith (Brad), Amy Jennings (Tommy), Blake Adams, Brandon Adams (Heather), and Brooke Palmer (Jonathan); and great grandchildren: Zachary and Hunter Jennings, Emmy Goldsmith; Grady, Maddi and Reilly Adams; and Bianca, Braxton and Briley Keyes.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastview Memorial Gardens, Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Funeral arrangements were made by McCarty of Sevierville.
Shannon Leon Mayse, 55

Shannon Leon Mayse, the husband of Sandra Kay Flinchum Mayse of Beattyville, Kentucky and the son of the late Junice and Beulah Johnson Mayse, was born in Irvine, Kentucky on July 18, 1964 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 10 days. Shannon loved Bluegrass music, fishing, hunting, and working on motorcycles.
In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by two brothers, Wayne and Larry Mayse, both of Beattyville; three sisters, Jo Thacker, Hope Thacker, both of Irvine; and Ellis Marie Tharp of Stanton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Shannon was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Randall and Dickie Mayse.
Visitation will be held at the Newnam Funeral Home, 108 Center Street in Beattyville, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, followed by the funeral service at Noon by Pastor Greg Farler. Burial will be in the Horn Cemetery on Old Landing Road in Lee County.
Marcia Lyne Dunaway McIntosh, 50

Marcia Lyne Dunaway McIntosh, age 50, of Millstone Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 and the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexingotn.
She was born January 14, 1970 in Jefferson County and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Lynn and Ruth McIntosh Dunaway. She was an organ donor.
Marcia Lyne is survived by her aunts: Nellie McIntosh, Agnes McIntosh, both of Irvine; and Bonnie Dunaway, Tennessee; her uncle, Ricky Dunaway, Texas; and her cousins: Doreen Alley (Arnold), Douglas Dunaway (Kim), Jennifer Catlett (Dave), and Sandra McKinney (Billy).
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, February 29, 11:00 a.m., at the West Irvine Cemetery by Bro. Perry Revel.
Pallbearers were Arnold Alley, Arnold Alley, Jr. and Charles Hayden.
Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Peggy Lee Stone, 64

Peggy Lee Stone, age 64, of Cantrill Street in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at her home following a short illness.
She was born March 25, 1955 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Phillips and Dorothy Arvin Young. She was a former employee of the R&B Country Kitchen and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church #1. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband, Tiffie Glenn Stone; one daughter, April Berryman (Bill), Estill County; one son, Phillip Lee Stone, Estill County; three sisters: Connie Mosley, Lillian Miller, and Penny Young, all of Estill County; two brothers: James Young and Ricky Young, both of Estill County; and three grandchildren: Phillip Glenn Stone, Skylar King and Jaiden Stone.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 28, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Stone Cemetery. Friends called between 6 and 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Ryan Miller, Zachary Richardson, Matthew Young, Leonard Young, Gage Dixon and Phillip G. Stone.
Vonnie “Mousey” Harrison, 61

Vonnie “Mousey” Harrison was born May 26, 1958 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Stanford Care & Rehab, being 61 years of age. He was the son of the late Earl & Elsa (McKinney) Harrison.
Mousey is survived by two children, Jessica Perkins (Eric) of Stanford and Bryan Lickliter of Lexington. He is also survived by the following siblings, Ronnie Harrison of McKee, Donnie Harrison of Waneta, L.D. Harrison of Irvine, Connie Tankersley of Waneta, and Bonnie Snipes of North Carolina. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral service was at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Lakes McKee Funeral Home, 1181 Main Street South,
McKee, with Bro. Brian Gabbard officiating. Burial followed in the Harrison Cemetery in the Congleton Hollow at Waneta.
Burtle “Burt” Isaacs, 81

Burtle “Burt” Isaacs, age 81, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2020.
He was born in the Wanata community of Jackson County, Kentucky on August 11, 1938 to the late Shellie and Linda Creech Isaacs. Burt was a former employee of Bryant Manufacturing and was a life-long farmer. He loved to fish bluegill and hunt rabbits, squirrel and deer; but most of all he loved his family. Burt was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Lisa Webb (Randal), Tonya Kaye Isaacs, Tony Isaacs (Mary), Steve Short (Sherri) and David Short; one sister, Janet Sue Powell; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fritz Isaacs; four brothers, Homer, Turner, Hershel, and John Isaacs; and three sisters, Shelby Jean Combs, Lorraine Isaacs, and Christine Abner.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, with Bro. Bobby Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Isaacs, Curt Issaacs, Scottie Isaacs, Joe Benton, Kade Benton, and Bradley Rose.

Ruth G. Davis, 90, wife of Frankie Davis, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born in Estill County, on July 14, 1929, to the late Walter and Maggie Gross Estes. Mrs. Davis was retired from Winchester Clothing, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a member of Gideons International Auxiliary for 30 years and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 65 years.
In addition to her loving husband of 65 years, she is survived by two sons, Jim Davis (Ruth Ann) and Walter Davis (Cherie); five grandchildren, Wes Davis (Sarah), Dusty Davis (Heather), Amver Cole, Rachel Thomas and Gail Bryan; great grandchildren, Brantley Davis, Willa Ruth Davis and Evelyn Davis; a brother-in-law, Ken (Susan) Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Beverly Estes and Charlie Estes.
Services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 by Pastors Ron Lutes and Kevin Parido at Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester. Visitation was on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Burial was in Winchester Cemetery.
Nephews and grandsons served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were David Woosley, and members of Trinity United Methodist Church and Gideons International.
David Lynn Harrison Jr., 32

David Lynn Harrison Jr., age 32, the loving husband of Rachel Kirkpatrick Harrison, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020.
He was born on October 12, 1987 in Stanford, Kentucky. He was a 2006 graduate of Lincoln County High School. In addition, he received degrees from Eastern Kentucky University and Georgetown College. David was a devoted teacher at B. Michael Caudill Middle School, where he also coached Basketball. He was also an avid golfer.
David and his wife Rachel are members of the Red House Baptist Church. There he served as Sunday School Teacher to The Young Couples Sunday School Class, served as a Deacon and also served as a committee chair. "Loving husband and father; caring, kind, compassionate, understanding," are words that could best describe David.
In addition to his wife Rachel, David is survived by his son, Elijah “Eli” Harrison; his mother, Carolyn Ann Watts Harrison; his sister, Amanda Harrison; his maternal grandmother, Linda Watts; his mother and father-in-law, Roger and Susan Kirkpatrick; his sister-in-law, Kaitlin Dougherty (Alex); as well as a host of other relatives and friends. David and Rachel were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child.
David was preceded in death by his father: David L. Harrison Sr.
Funeral Services were held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Red House Baptist Church, 2301 Red House Road, Richmond, with Dr. Deron Cobb and Rev. Jon Barron officiating. Visitation began at 3:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, at the church. Interment was at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25th at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery, 630 KY-Hwy 78, Stanford, Kentucky 40484.
The members of the Young Couples Sunday School Class of Red House Baptist Church served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were the faculty and staff of B. Michael Caudill Middle School.
Because of David’s love of education and in order to prepare for his children’s future and their education, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harrison family education account, 232 Wilshire Way, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.

Bobby Ray Dickerson, 47

Bobby Ray Dickerson, age 47, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 21, 1972 in Berea, Kentucky, to Betty Webb Wasson and Bobby Wayne Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson loved to spend time with his children and family, collect rocks, and watch Nascar and boxing. He was a very kindhearted person and loved to help others. He was a member of the Pilot Knob Baptist Church.
Bobby Ray is survived by his parents, Betty Webb Wasson and stepdad Algin Wasson Jr. of Berea, and his father, Bobby Wayne Dickerson of Irvine; his children, Zachary Dakota Blake Dickerson (Amber) of Sale, Australia; and Hannah Dickerson of Berea; one sister, Regina Parker of Berea; and one grandson, Brandon Charles William Dickerson of Sale, Australia. A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Davis & Powell Funeral Home, 616 Chestnut Street, Berea, with Pastor Greg Lakes officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery on Red Lick. Visitation was 6-9 p.m., Saturday, February 22nd at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Pilot Knob Baptist Church and Pastor Greg Lakes for all their loving care through a very difficult time.
William Aaron “Big E” Emerson, 59

William Aaron “Big E” Emerson, 59, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
He was born on August 17, 1960 in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Fredrick Emerson and Elizabeth Routt Strode. He was raised by his foster parents, Helen and William Huffman, from the age of 2. Helen called him “Boy” from an early age on.
William attended and graduated from Garrard County High School, where he played basketball and football and earned the nickname “Big E”. He worked a total of 16 years at Kentucky Utilities Dix Dam, Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) and Matsushita.
William was a huge University of Kentucky fan and loved watching the games with friends and family. He also loved to cook and shared this love by inviting everyone over to BBQs and holiday gatherings. He will forever be loved and remembered for his smile and caring personality.
He leaves to mourn his three sons, Antwoine Linton (Kim) of Douglasville, Georgia; William Linton (Aisha) of Lancaster, and Aaron Stone of Irvine; four sisters, Lillian Spady of Fayetteville, Georgia; Helen Emerson, Nettie Benton, both of Lexington; and Tammy Walker Pearson (Paul) of Georgetown; five brothers, David Walker of Elizabethtown; Keith Walker of Fairfield, Connecticut; Fred Emerson of Raleigh, North Carolina; Jeff Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; and Kevin Walker of Lexington; four grandchildren, Ashland and Joseph Linton of Douglasville, Georgia; Aubriana Linton of Lancaster, and Arianna Stone of Irvine; and one aunt, Martha Gray of Danville.
William was also preceded in death by a grandson, Aiden Stone; and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Lancaster. Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 23rd at the church. Burial was in Duncantown Cemetery in Lancaster.
Active pallbearers were Will Dunn, Terry Dunn, Damon Norris, Elvis Buford, Derrick Naylor, Will Hocker, Jermaine Norris, Trent Ison, Josh King and Arness Buford.
Honorary pallbearers were Simon Norris, Jamie Black, Johnny Thomas, Darius Hale, Jamele Burnside, Robert Spillman, Colby Arnold, James Buford, and Ronald Penman.

Doris Faye Horn, age 76, of Riverview Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, at her home following a short illness.
She was born March 8, 1943 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Troy and Corria Meredith Horn. She was a property appraiser and a member of the Estill County Historical Society. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Estill County Food Bank.
Ms. Horn is survived by one brother, Donald Ray Horn (Millie), Estill County; six nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Garry Lynn Horn.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
