    Martha Carolyn Coffey Rogers, age 71, wife of Randall Rogers, Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center, Richmond.
    She was born June 2, 1949 to the late James Jim and Laura Estes Coffey.
    Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Randall Rogers; daughters, Regina Riddell (Paul Sizemore), Richmond; and Linda Johnson, Irvine; brothers, Bruce Coffey, Irvine; Denny Coffey (Sue), Waco; Harold Coffey (Amy), Berea; Leon Coffey (Betty Shuler), Irvine; Ernie Coffey (Debbie), Lancaster; Wade Coffey (Gail), Waco; and Wayne Coffey (Carolyn), Mt. Sterling; a sister, Betty Willis (Thomas), Berea; five grandchildren, Steven Chaney, Nevaeh Riddell, Jessica Riddell, April Shuler (Daniel), and Tracy Bishop (Robert); and four great grandchildren, Brea Shuler, Brenton Shuler, Trenton Shuler, and Julie Bishop.
    She was preceded in death by parents, James "Jim" and Laura Coffey; her son-in-law, Daniel Johnson; and a brother, Ronnie Coffey (Waynette).
    Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton, by Bro. Jim Hall and Bro. Gainus Rogers. Visitation is Tuesday, July 28th, 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery with Scott Coffey, Jason Coffey, Gary Ballard, Charlie Willis, Edger Willis, Brandon Hughes, and Darrell Randall serving as pallbearers.

Donna Jean Brandenburg

    Donna Jean Brandenburg, age 68, of Harris Ferry Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born January 20, 1952 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Donald and Kaye Moberley Brandenburg. She attended the Gallaudet University and was a retired federal employee having worked with the Internal Revenue Service in Cincinnati. Before retirement, she worked in health workshops as well as with education in deaf communities. She was an American Sign Language teacher. She attended the Corinth Christian Church.
    Ms. Brandenburg was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Brandenburg.
    She is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    Friends may call from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held.
    Pallbearers will be Otis Freeman, Danny Sullivan, Jason Freeman, Michael Fore, Mike Tobin and Ryan Freeman.

Jewell T. Horn

    Jewell T. Horn, 79, widower of Alvirta Frances Walling Horn, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Marcum Wallace Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Horn was a native of Estill County, born July 13, 1941, a son of the late Fred and Rosa Henry Horn. He was a retired electrician and he enjoyed drag racing and restoring classic cars. He attended the Turning Point Apostolic Church.
    Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Horn; and his sisters, Edith Horn Watkins, Lilly Mae Horn Camel, Ida Faye Horn Bailey, and Janice Pearl Horn Estes.
    Survivors include his sister, Elwanda Hatton (Clay).
    Services will be held at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2020 with Bro. Larry McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Sonny Powell Cemetery.
    Friends may call anytime after 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Charles Wayne Horn

    Charles Wayne Horn, age 57, of Front Street in South Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington following a short illness.
    He was born August 27, 1962 in Kettering, Ohio and was the son of the late Charles “Sonny” Horn and Barbara Roberts Horn. He was an electrician and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Horn is survived by his sister, Betty Ann Horn; his long-time companion of over 20 years, Laura Calk; several special cousins; beloved pets; and a host of friends.
    Friends call between 10:00 a.m. and 12 Noon, Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services were conducted following at the funeral home by Bro. Danny Neal. Burial was at the South Irvine Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Lisa Puckett, Justin Roberts, Wes Watkins, Lester Mayes, Walter Estes, Delbert Cope, Adam Warner and Steven Stamper.
    Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Reeves, Ronnie Begley, James Coffey, Eddie Fultz and Blake Fultz.

David Templin

    David Templin, age 73, of Kirkland Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, following a long illness.
    He was born April 23, 1947 in Montgomery County and was the son of the late Harry Reffitt and Anna Stevens Templin. He was a retired Bell South employee and a United States Navy veteran.
    Mr. Templin is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Blevins; two sons: Anthony Templin and Sam Templin; three sisters: Alice Curtis (Phillip), Mary Jane Smith, and Bonnie Lou Brenner (William); and several grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Viola Carpenter, Anna Mitchell, Elwood Templin, Earl Thomas Templin, Arnold Templin, Russell Templin, Shirley Templin and Willard Templin.
    Graveside services were conducted Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. the Crowe Cemetery by Bro. Larry Frymyer.
    Pallbearers were Terry Rogers, Jayden Rogers, Mike Rogers, Mason Griggs, Cody Abney, and Roger McIntosh.

Danisha Lynn Isaacs

    Danisha Lynn Isaacs, age 53, of Noland Court in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home.
    She was born December 1, 1966 in Madison County and she was the daughter of Linda Thomas Isaacs and the late Howard Douglas Isaacs. She was self-employed and attended the Irvine First Church of God. She lived in Estill County all of her life.
    Additional survivors to her mother include one daughter, Kaycee Jo Watson, Estill County; two sisters: Jasmine Tipton, Estill County; and Ciara Hagedorn, Fayette County; one brother, Levi Isaacs, Clark County; two grandchildren: Marlee Jo Watson and Raylan Thomas Woolery; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by one brother, Delbert Douglas Isaacs.
    Due to COVID-19, a private memorial service for family only will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at the Irvine First Church of God, 199 Broadway.

    Shirley May Banks, age 62, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at The Good Samaritan Hospital.
    She was born August 2, 1957 in Clay City to Clyde and Emma Combs. She was a housewife and a member of the Holiness Church.
    Mrs. Banks is survived by her husband, Melvin Banks of Irvine; four sons: Michael Ross of Bloomington, Indiana; David Worthen of Owensboro, Mario Worthen of Louisville, and T.J. Worthen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a stepson, Melvin Banks Jr. of Winchester; two daughters: Heather Ross and Morgan Larrison, both of Clay City; two stepdaughters: Brenda Pelfrey of Winchester, and Roberta Banks of Lexington; ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren; two brothers: James Combs of Berea, and Donald Combs of Dalton, Georgia; and one sister, Della Sue Combs of Irvine.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Emma Combs; a sister, Mancy Morales; and a brother, Raymond Lee.
    Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel, 201 7th Avenue in Clay City with Bro. Sidney Sparks officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of the services.

    William A. Staton, age 72, of Stanton, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    Born July 7, 1948, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elmer Wesley Staton, Sr. and the late Josephine Ruth Johnson Staton. He was a ham radio operator since the age of 14 and his ham radio call sign was WD4KNE. He was a radio technician with the Kentucky State Police and he conducted ham radio services for WKYT Television Station and WLEX Television Station.
    Bill served as a fire fighter for 52 years, being affiliated with Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, Estill County Volunteer Fire Department, Middlefork Volunteer Fire Department and the Cobb Hill Volunteer Fire Department where he served as chief.
    He is survived by two sons, William Staton (Heather) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and Charles Wesley Staton of Lawrenceburg; one daughter, Shauna Staton of Stanton; two brothers, Elmer Wesley Staton, Jr. of Salt Lick and John Barry Staton (Mary Ruth) of Owingsville; four grandchildren: Tristan Staton, Jonathan Staton, Edith Mae Staton and Oliver Ray Staton; and by two great grandchildren.
    There are no services scheduled.

    Lorena Cox Gann, 91, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
    She was born in the Alumbaugh community of Estill County Kentucky on December 3, 1923 to the late Jeff and Kate Cox. Mrs. Gann was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, photography, and gardening – she liked to spend time tending to her flowers and could grow anything. She also loved animals and especially her dogs.
    Survivors include her husband, Jack M. Gann; special friends, Jill and Doug Price and their children, Jessica Price (fiancé Ben Hess) and Tyler Price (Sarah Kathleen); Oreda and Arlin Harris; Anna and Bill Ludwinek; and her special dog, Maggie.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bruce Cox, Finley Cox, Norma Faye Kruger, and Modena Fields.
    In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Gann are suggested to the Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475

    Tracie Lewis Reece, age 71, husband of Mary Elizabeth Combs Reece, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Baptist Health-Richmond.
    He was born on February 22, 1949 in Madison County to the late John William Reece and Bessie Mae Marcum Reece. He was retired from the Horse Industry after 40 years and enjoyed being on his computer to keep up with his family and playing games like solitaire, attending auctions and horses.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Reece; one son, John Travis Reece (Renee) of Richmond; three grandchildren, William Michael Reece, Abbygayle Reece and Sydney Reece; two brothers, Paul Reece and William Reece; three sisters, Gladys Hoover, Louise Hyatt and Susie Tuggle.
    Mr. Reece was preceded in death by one son, Dave Clinton Reece; and by several brothers and sisters.
    Funeral services were conducted 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Greg Humpert officiating. Burial followed in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers were William Michael Reece, Scott Kenner, Landon Kenner, Joshua Reece, Lynn Reece, and Steve Willoughby.

    Bessie Marie Johnson Durbin, age 69, widow of James “Jimmy” Durbin, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at her home.
    Mrs. Durbin, the daughter of Luckes and Bettie Rison Johnson, was born in Estill County on November 28, 1950. She worked at Westinghouse / Phillips Lighting and OHI Gecom. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, working in her yard and watching NASCAR. Her greatest treasure was her family and she was a member of the former Community Church of God.
    Survivors include her daughter, Sonda Kaye Mize (& fiancé Oliver Wendell Evans) of Richmond; one granddaughter, Hannah Paige Mize; a great granddaughter, Aniyah Estill; her brother, L. B. (& Lena) Johnson who made her childhood memorable; a sister-in-law, Juanita Johnson who was devoted to her late brother Hugh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Mrs. Durbin is also survived by “children” that God placed in her life: Brittany Givens Heyer, Kelsey Givens and the Dargavells: Amanda, Buster, Briar and Bella. They all gave her many hours of enjoyment and blessings.
    In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Durbin was preceded in death by her brother, Hugh Johnson; and three sisters: Louise Baker, Vada Tribble and Brenda Williams; and her dog, Lil Z, her little gentleman and protector.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Rudd and Bro. Dallas Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

    Norma York, daughter of the late Dillard and Josephine Coffee Richardson was born in Lee County, Kentucky on September 15, 1935 and departed this life Saturday, July 11, 2020, at her home in Lee County, at the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 26 days. She was a loving housewife and mother.
    Norma is survived by her daughter, Teresa York of Beattyville; two sons, Gary York of Beattyville and Jimmy Richardson of Irvine; one great granddaughter, Serenity Cornett of Beattyville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; one sister, Laura Jones of Beattyville; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ralph York, three brothers and three sisters.

    Mary Margaret Estes Morris, age 80, widow of Jim Morris, passed away at her home, Sunday, July 12, 2020.
    She was a native of Estill County, born August 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Robert Green Estes and the late Mary Eliza Sparks Estes. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and raising her children.
    Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her daughter Jeaneen "Sis" Tipton; and her siblings, Ray Estes, Candace Moore, Tina Smelko, and Mabel Newton.
    Survivors include her children: Bo Morris (Madeline), Fudd Morris (Sharon), Paul Morris (Lorrie), Bobbie Bowman (Robert); her brothers: Zeke Estes, Delco Estes (Jalema); her sisters: Aggie Wells, Glendeen Mitchell (Bill), Margie Putteet, and Monda McIntosh; her grandchildren: Steven Isaacs Jr., Shannon Estes (Briton), Mary Beth Morris, Kayla Morris, and Michael Crowe (Megan); great grandchildren: Averly Estes, Karlee Crowe, Reuben Crowe, and Mikey Crowe.

    Keith Crim, age 57, of Winchester, Kentucky, formerly of Estill County, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020.
    He was born June 25, 1963 in Winchester to Edward Crim and Marie Borders. He was a handyman.
    Mr. Crim is survived by two sons: Bryan Crim (Brandy) and Michael Crim, both of Irvine; two stepsons: Billy Brooks (Zena) and Jason Jones, both of Irvine; a daughter, Keisha Crim (Anthony Brandenburg) of Irvine; 12 grandchildren; and two brothers: Danny Crim (Dee Dee) and Greg Crim, both of Winchester.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Crim and Marie Borders; a granddaughter, Allyssa Crim; and his stepfather, Bud Borders.
    Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro. Marvin Neal officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Brooks-Means Cemetery.     Lucille Wiseman, age 78, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away at home on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
    She was a native of Estill County, born 16 August 1941, a daughter of the late Adam Harrison and the late Helen West Harrison. She was retired from Pattie A. Clay Hospital. Lucille was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
    Mrs. Wiseman was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cebert Wiseman; a daughter, Peggy Watson; two sisters: Marlene Thomas and Mae Dawes; and a brother, Dale Harrison.
    Survivors include one son, Rusty Wiseman; one daughter, Bethel Samples; two granddaughters, three grandsons, two great granddaughters, two great grandsons, two great, great grandsons, four sisters, three brothers, and many friends.
    No services are planned at this time.
