William Earl Bledsoe, age 73, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at St. Joseph Main in Lexington, Kentucky after a short illness.
Born October 17, 1947 in Fayette County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Edward and Lois Barker Bledsoe. He was a former manager of Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals for 41 years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Bledsoe; and one sister, Chloann Clevenger.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sherrel Bledsoe; and two sons, William Arthur Bledsoe (Stephanie Butler) and Edward Brent Bledsoe (Kristy); three grandchildren, Josh, Kaitlyn and Emma Bledsoe; and one brother, Bobby Bledsoe of Clarksville Tennessee.
Funeral services officiated by Bro. Joe Lahrmer will be held privately at Oakdale Cemetery due to the Covid. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery with Josh Bledsoe, Parker Hall, Bev Hall, Gary Embs, Brad Hall and Brent Bledsoe serving as active pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Les West, Charles Samples, Jr. Estes, Ray H, Hardy and Bob Pruitt.

James Edward “Murdock” Townsend, age 54, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
He was born April 2, 1966 in Richmond, Kentucky, to James and Mary Miles Townsend. He was a carpenter.
Mr. Townsend is survived by a daughter, Melissa Brinegar of Winchester; two grandchildren: Neveah Puckett and Mathew Townsend; four brothers: Cassius Townsend, Johnny Townsend (Amy), both of Irvine; Joe Townsend of Paris and Richard Neal of Irvine; and two sisters: Connie Estes (Jacob) and Dorothy Walling (Henry Knight), both of Irvine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Townsend; and a son, Michael Edward Townsend.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 a.m. 'till time of the service. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Irvine.
Pallbearers are Joe Townsend, Johnny Townsend, Richard Neal, Clayton Mays, Steve Hoover and Earl Willis.
Honorary pallbearers are Josh Walling, Mathew Townsend and Neveah Puckett.

Daniel Wayne Martin, age 65, husband of Barbara Napier Martin, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his home in Stanton, Kentucky.
He was born March 21, 1955 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Lemray and Ruth Whisman Martin. He was retired from Clark Energy Cooperative.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Martin; a son, John Martin, Clay City; two daughters, Rebecca Martin and Angela Martin, both of Stanton; and a sister, Freda Shoemaker, Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Martin; and a sister, Brenda Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.

James Allen Wiser, age 66, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, Kentucky. He was born February 2, 1954 in Lebanon.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Wiser; two sons, Jason Allen Wiser and Wesley Earnest Wiser; and a sister, Diane Renee Wiser.
Mr. Wiser is survived by his mother, Mary Wiser; two daughters, Amanda Bird and Stacy Hyatt (Ben); four brothers: Jimmy Wiser (Marie), David Wiser (Vicky), Russ Wiser (Bonnie), and Terry Wiser; two sisters: Donna Bradshaw (Tom) and Michelle Wiser (Vance Ellis); and five grandchildren: “Donna Doo” Bird, Mercedes “Booger Bear” Bird, Cassie Hyatt, Aaron Hyatt, and Joseph Hyatt. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon, Kentucky. Interment followed in Old Liberty Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Sunday, at the funeral home.

On Saturday, March 14, 2020, Billy Eugene Wilcox, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at home at the age of 88.
A native of Estill County, Billy was born June 12, 1931 in West Irvine, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Henry Ben Wilcox and Cecil K. Lunsford.
He served in the Kentucky National Guard and the US Army, Second Armored Division in Germany during the Korean War. He retired from Standard Products Company after
35 years service. Billy was a member of Eastland Church of God. He loved his God, his family and his country. He loved gardening, fishing and life in general. He was a big UK fan; especially the girls basketball team
Billy is survived by his wife Imogene "Jean" Withers Wilcox; one son, Billy E. Wilcox II, Wilkinson, Indiana; three daughters: Debi Baugh, Brevard, North Carolina; Kathy Skinner, Lexington; and Christina Bledsoe, Blythewood, South Carolina; five grandsons: Michael Coldren, Lexington; Will Baugh, Columbia, South Carolina; David Bledsoe, Ben Bledsoe and Gregory Bledsoe, all of Blythewood, South Carolina; and one niece, Angela Zengerle, Etters, Pennsylvania.
Besides his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Ben Wilcox Jr.; and a granddaughter, Sarah C. Baugh.
Memorial services were held Friday August 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Eastland Church of God with Pastor Rob Kespelher and Pastor Justin Linseisen officiating.

Mearlon Frances Foutch Galloway, age 77, gained her angel wings on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Marcum & Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky.
Born March 26, 1943 in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Elizabeth Dixon Foutch. She was a lifetime resident of Harlan/Letcher Counties, except for the past 2 ˝ years when she lived with her daughter in Estill County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Morgan Sherrill Galloway; her brothers, Rodney Foutch, Arthur William "Butch" Foutch, Cecil Foutch, and Enoch Foutch, Jr.; one sister, Daisy Foutch Hernandez; and her former husband, Morgan Galloway.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Galloway Neal (Barry) of Irvine; by her son, James Merrill Galloway (Heather) of Partridge, Kentucky; and also by the son that she raised, Rodney Shane Foutch (Ashley) of Lynch. She is also survived by three grandchildren whom she absolutely loved and adored: Allee Brooke Galloway, Jadelyn Sherryl Neal, and Eastin Cruz Galloway. In addition, she is survived by one brother, Leonard and Bobbie Jo Foutch of Cumberland; one sister, Rosa Foster of Bethalto, Illinois; and her loving caregiver and friend, Geraldine Puckett, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with being a devoted mother and caregiver to many others in her family through the years, she was a retired high school teacher at Cumberland High School. She positively influenced many students through the years with her devotion to them as evidenced by many who share stories and claim that she was their favorite teacher. She was a member of the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church, but in the past few years had attended church with her children and grandchildren at Cumberland Pentecostal Church and Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Kentucky.
Mearlon’s visitation will be held Monday, November 2, 2020, at the Cumberland Pentecostal Church from 12:00 Noon - 3:00 p.m., with the funeral beginning at 3:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at the Peaceful Acres Cemetery in Cumberland. Rev. Mike Blair will conduct the services. The pallbearers are Mitchell Galloway, James Sparks, Ronnie Riddell, Trae Burns, Jake Jackson and Walter Craig.
Due to the mandates by the Governor of Kentucky, all attendees are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

Wanda Mills White, 73, wife of Titus Lonzo White, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Powell County, Kentucky, on May 25, 1947, to Roy Mills and the late Mary Patrick Mills. She was retired from Avon.
In addition to her husband of 34 years, she is survived by two children, Harold Jones (Stephanie) and Trina Tucker; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; two sons, Bryan White and Ronnie Jones; and a sister, Virgie Curtis.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Winchester Cemetery by Pastor Lonnie Storms. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the cemetery.

Chester Stamper, age 61, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky.
He was born February 20, 1959 in Beattyville, a son to the late Odell and Modenna Reece Stamper Turner.
Chester is survived by two brothers: George Stamper (Helen) of Winchester, and Homer Stamper (Melissa) of Frankfort; one sister, Reva Rogers (Omer) of Beattyville; one step-brother; Roger Turner (Melissa) of Beattyville; three step-sisters: Joyce Thomas (Tony), and Fay Cockerham (Don), both of Irvine; and Brenda Dale (Willie) of Paris, Kentucky; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other loving family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Johnny Stamper; and one sister, Francis Stamper.
Graveside Services were held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Beatty Place Cemetery in the Yellow Rock Community with funeral services following a brief visitation. Chester was laid to rest at the Beatty Place Cemetery.

Mary Ann Pittman, age 53, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at her residence in Waco, Kentucky.
Born December 2, 1966 in Campton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen Gross Sparks, and she attended Gloryland Baptist Church in Richmond.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by her husband, Berry Pittman of Waco; two daughters, Kristen Pittman and Amanda Pittman, both of Richmond; one brother, Russell Sparks Jr. of Jackson; and five sisters: Anita Stepp of Berea; Donna Metzger, Brenda Combs, Connie Watts, and Eva Watts, all of Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mamie Carol Gordon Clark, age 68, of Calera, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 26, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Berea, Kentucky on January 16, 1951, the daughter of the late Herman Gordon and the late Mamie Scenters Gordon. She lived many years of her early life in Estill County and attended Hargett Elementary.
Carol was a homemaker. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed singing and worshiping her Lord, and her family is comforted in knowing that she is now singing and praising in his presence.
She is survived by one son, Tony Means (Cindy) of Thorsby, Alabama; one daughter, Connie Jarvis (Kenneth) of Clanton, Alabama; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, Hargus Gordon of Irvine; two sisters: Barbara Dennis and Dessie Isaacs, both of Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas W. Clark and Paul Culp; her parents, Herman and Mamie Gordon; two brothers, Douglas Gordon and Travis Gordon; and a sister, Doretta Barnes.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home, 8586 AL-25 in Calera, Alabama with Rev. James Simpson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Garden.

Janet Richardson Asher, age 82, wife of Howard Asher, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Baptist Health Richmond.
She was born October 22, 1938 in Estill County, Kentucky, to the late Luther and Eudell Richardson. Mrs. Asher had worked at Berea Hospital as a nursing and pharmacy aide. She loved to cross stitch and was a member of the cross-stitch world on Facebook. She loved to sew, reading her bible, fishing, was an avid U.K. fan, she loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren; also loved to laugh and enjoy life to its fullest. Mrs. Asher was of the Baptist faith.
Other than her husband Mrs. Asher is survived by her children, John Meeks of Richmond; Kristi Eudell Wren, Christopher Wren, Mitchell Wren, all of Berea; and Tiffany Tipton of Waco, Kentucky; a step-daughter, Sandra Hammock of Nicholasville; one brother, Luther Richardson Jr. of Irvine; a sister, Sharon Richardson of Belleview; eight grandchildren, John David Meeks, Branden Meeks, Kelli Meeks, Jonna Beth Arvin, Tiffany Tipton, Heavenly Janet Horn, William Ray Spears, and Clara Raelyn Saylor; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Davis & Powell Funeral Home, 616 Chestnut Street, Berea, with Rev. Jonas Hill officiating. Entombment will follow in the Berea Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday October 28th at the funeral home.

Margaret Ann Brockman, age 66, wife of Sherman Brockman passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She was born September 14, 1954 in Berea, Kentucky, to the late Virgil and Ollie VanWinkle Anglin. Mrs. Brockman was a homemaker; she loved going to church and spending time with her family, especially her grand babies; they were her world. She also enjoyed listening to music of all kinds but Gene Watson was her favorite. Mrs. Brockman was of the Holiness faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Berry Lee Lamb, and William Lamb.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Loretta Burgess (Michael) of Berea; four grandchildren, Heather Miller, Marlana Miller, David Burgess, and Travis Burgess; along with several nieces, nephews and friends who also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Berea with Bro. Erman Turner officiating. Burial followed in the Red Lick Cemetery. Visitation was 5-9 p.m., Monday, October 26th at the funeral home.
