Eva Christine Dotson Bullock, age 74, of Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Big Rock, Virginia, August 26, 1946 to Harv and Eva Lester Dotson. She worked in the coal mines.
Mrs. Bullock is survived by three sons: Ricky Hurley, Larry Dotson (Elizabeth) and Tommy Dotson; two daughters: Mary Arthur (James) and Melissa Dotson; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Gavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Scott Bullock; and two brothers, Hassle and Roy Dotson.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Catherine Howard, age 87, of Stacy Lane in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at her home following a long illness.
She was born October 17, 1933 in Martin County and was the daughter of the late James and Ora Lee Spradlin Crabtree. She was a former employee of Kenner, a former toy company, and the New & Used TV Shop in Cincinnati. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Howard; and is survived by three daughters: Annette Nicolson (Patrick), Owen County; Patricia Anderson, Powell County; and Betty Sue Riddell (Tim), Estill County; two sons: Ronald Howard (Laura) and Robert Howard (Sue), both of Owen County; a daughter-in-law, Retha Howard, Whitley County; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Randell and Rickey Howard; and six brothers, Bill, Virgil, Dude, Henry, Johnny and Clifford Crabtree.

Jill Carroll White, age 57, of Eades Drive in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020, at her home following a long illness.
She was born February 19, 1963 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian Estes Witt. She was a dog breeder and groomer and a member of the AKC. She was a member of the Christian Worship Center and had lived in Estill County all her life.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Ricky Allen White; two daughters: Deanna Carroll of Ohio, and Kayla Albright (Justin) of Estill County; one sister, Norma Sparks, Madison County; one brother, Bill Marcum (Carolyn), Estill County; and her granddogs.
Visitation for the public will be held Monday, December 14, 2020, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held by Bro. Jimmy Bonny with burial at the South Irvine Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Doug Dooley, Dustin Dooley, Wesley Harrison, Nick Edmonson, Tim Harrison and Greg Hardy.

Nina Justice Cannon, age 78, of Mockingbird Lane in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Baptist Health in Richmond following a long illness.
She was born August 18, 1942 in Pikeville and was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Thacker Justice. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County for the past seven years.
Mrs. Cannon is survived by her husband, John Wayne Cannon;
one daughter, Kristin Deering, Estill County; one son, Joe Fuller, Estill County; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cannon; and a sister, Hazel Lester.

He was born October 16, 1963 in Middletown, Ohio and was the son of the late Harold Eugene and Dorothy Richeson. He had been a farmer and had lived in Estill County for the last few months.
Mr. Richeson is survived by his long-time companion, Devi Thomas of Irvine; and his cousin, James Richeson, Florida.

He was born January 25, 1970 in Irvine, Kentucky. Mike was a member of Rejoice Worship Center in Castlewood, Virginia. His love for God was undeniable. He was a supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness, loved golfing, woodworking, handmade gifts, and sports.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Walters; one son, Christopher Tyler Walters; one daughter, Brianna Colleen Walters Palmer; one grandson, Lyndon Mahoney; his mother and father, David A. and Louise Hunt Walters; two brothers, David Wayne Walters and Steven Walters; one sister, Debbie Smalley; three nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Michael “Mike” Bradley Walters was conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Brother Bobby Ramey officiating. She was born June 17, 1944 in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Hezzie and Ila McCoy Rogers.
Survivors include, brothers: John Rogers, Clay City; Ronald Rogers, Irvine; and Ted Rogers, Stanton; sisters, Judy Goodwin, Williamstown; Nancy Rogers, Stanton; Shirley Gordon (Jim), Lexington; and Vickie Rogers, Clay City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Eva Curtis, Marcia Gerstenfield, Betty Jo Carrier, and Gathel Rogers; two brothers, Fred Hensley and Otis Rogers; and a son, Jimmy VanPoortfliet.

Joyce Sewell, age 73, of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, passed away at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on July 29, 1947 to Paul and Betty Kuykendoll. She was a member of the Sand Hill Christian Church and worked in the Coal Mines and for Leggett and Platt.
Mrs. Sewell is survived by two sons: Bobby Sewell Jr. and Zachary Sewell; two daughters: Cheryl Marshall (Joseph) and Lisa Neal; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and three sisters: Charlotte Waldridge, Janet Powell and Bonnie Sallee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Kuykendoll; her husband, Bobby Sewell Sr.; a grandson, Timothy Sewell; and two brothers: Doug Chaney and Paul Kenny Kuykendoll.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 a.m. 'till time of the service. Burial will be in the Richardson Cemetery in Irvine.

Leslie Elwood Tipton, age 83, of White Oak Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
He was born June 11, 1937 in Estill County and was the son of the late William Buford and Virginia Lee McIntosh Tipton. He was retired from Bunt Gross Auto Sales where he worked as an auto mechanic and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church and the Fitchburg Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Tipton was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Frances Fielder Tipton; and is survived by one daughter, Kathy Ann Withers (Leslie), and one son, Donald R. Tipton (Sandra), both of Irvine; three sisters: Shirley Horn, Irvine; Eldora Abney and Drucilla Tipton, both of Ohio; one brother, Elzie Tipton, Winchester; four grandchildren: Christal French, Tory Jones, Rayna Tipton and Tavia Richardson; and several great and great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Gail Estes; one sister, Wanda Horn; and one grandson, John Leslie Estes.
Visitation for the public will be held Monday, December 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be held by Bro. Tory Jones with burial at the Cobb Hill Cemetery.

Robert Flinchum, the husband of 49 years to his loving wife, Connie J. Meyer Flinchum of Beattyville, Kentucky; and the son of the late Brack and Nancy Johnson Flinchum, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on July 14, 1950 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 21 days. He was a former Tool and Die maker for Bundy Tubing where he worked for 25 years, a professional stone worker and had various hobbies.
In addition to his wife, Connie; Robert is survived by three children: Robert Timothy Flinchum (Stephanie), Rebecca Lynn McIntosh (Kevin), both of Beattyville; and Mary Louise Flinchum Planck (Shawn) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Olivia Flinchum, Kolby McIntosh, and Kara Beth McIntosh, all of Beattyville; one sister, Susan J. Tackett of Irvine; one brother, James L. Flinchum of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Bowman of Beattyville; four nieces and nephews, Michelle Jones, Jeffery Flinchum, both of Lexington; Alicia Flinchum of Portland, Oregon; and Brandon Flinchum of Georgetown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard A. Flinchum; and a sister, Mandy Fay Richardson.
Services were conducted Wednesday, December 9, 2020, by Rev. William Owens at the Flinchum Cemetery, Hwy. 52 West, in Beattyville.

Cletha Jean Richardson was met with open arms, running through the gates to be with our Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday evening, December 7, 2020.
“Although she will be missed dearly by all who knew her, we know she is rejoicing with the angels in heaven and all her family that has gone before her.”
Cletha was born on August 7, 1941 in Estill County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Price and Alma Walton Farthing. She was a homemaker, a loving Wife, Mother, Aunt and Mamaw. Cletha was a member of The Waco Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Richardson; three daughters: Connie Vice (Tim), Kim Tate (Tom) and Neva Richardson; six grandchildren: Derrick Tate, Whitney Agee, Chelsea Richardson, Claire Vice, Sarah Vice and Isaiah Vice; four great grandchildren: Alexis Agee, Anthony Greg Richardson, Tate Abner and Erica Douglas; one sister, Brenda Moberly; one brother, Jimmy Farthing; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, the family has chosen to have a Private Service at The Waco Baptist Church. There will be a Live-Stream Webcast of the service that may be viewed on our website beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020. Mrs. Richardson will be laid to rest in the Richmond Cemetery.

She was born in Irvine; May 2, 1967 to James and Myrtle Willis Neal. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness Church.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Myrtle Willis Neal; a son, Bryce Tyler Neal (Nicole); two grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia McDowell; two special nephews, Thomas McDowell and Joshua McDowell; and a special niece, Katelynn Puckett.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Neal; a son, James Michael Neal; and a brother, James Russell Neal.

Sharon K. McKinney, age 67, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center.
She was born November 9, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Arlene Sparks Johnson. Sharon retired from General Motors Truck & Bus where she worked as an assembler. She loved reading, movies, TV, flowers, her dog, Stormy Lee, and spending time with her family. An angel has gone home.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 50 years, Elva McKinney; sisters, Patt Evans (Finn), Christy Rodehauer (Gary), and Rosemary Clason (Rick); brothers, Randy Johnson and Malcom Johnson (Starr); a sister-in-law, Shelby Ralston (Ed); two brothers-in-law, Everett McKinney (Truneah) and Lynn Davis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Lee McKinney; parents, Richard and Arlene Sparks Johnson; parents-in-law, Beveley and Faye McKinney; nephews, Shane Rawlins and Haney Rodehauer; a sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; and her grandparents, Dave and Helen Sparks and Harlan and Mary Johnson.

He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on November 27, 1955 to I. H. and Katherine Adams Woosley. He was a member of the Ivory Hill Baptist Church and a Gideon in Estill County. He owned Laymor Paving.
Mr. Woosley is survived by his wife, Debra Woosley; two sons: Isaac Woosley (Alicia) and Phillip Rogers; a daughter, Kelly Rawlins (David); five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and two sisters: Patsy Newton and Karen Woosley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, I. H. and Katherine Adams Woosley; and a brother, Michael Earl Woosley.

Mr. Conner is survived by his mother, Shirley Conner Rivas; two daughters: Amber Tipton and Hayley Conner; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Tammy Goodwin and Georgia Ledford (Jeff).
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Conner.

She was born May 21, 1928 in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Cash and Opal Thomas Richardson. She was a retired Phillips employee and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hall; and a sister, Lois Stevenson.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Woolery; and her grandson, Jeff Woolery.
Private graveside services will be conducted at the Turpin Cemetery at a later date.

She was born April 18, 1922 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Omer “Jack” and Nonie Chaney Smyth. She was a retired Carhartt, Inc. employee and a member of the Wisemantown Methodist Church.
Mrs. Alcorn was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Buford Alcorn; and her son, Arthur Gene Ballard.
She is survived by one stepson, William Ray Alcorn, Ohio; four sisters: Margie Flannery, Pauline Hudson (Jim), Anna Smyth, and Janet Dixon, all of Ohio; two grandsons: Arthur David Ballard (Shonna) and Randall Ballard, both of Irvine; three step-grandchildren: Tina Alcorn, Bart Alcorn (Janet) and Patty Alcorn; three great grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Mrs. Alcorn was preceded in death by four siblings, Lillian Sparks, Lucille Henderson, Juanita Henry and Reese Smyth.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, December 6, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at the Crowe Cemetery by Noel White and Tom Bonny

Charles Edward Reed, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at his residence in Irvine, Kentucky.
Born December 31, 1935 in Estill County, Kentucky he was the son of the late Allen Christopher and Dell Chaney Reed. He was a former electrician.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Eugene "Gene" Reed and James "Red" Reed.
He is survived by two sons, John Allen Reed (Ann) of Richmond, and Charles "Chuckie" Reed of Dayton Ohio; one daughter, Vickie Lynn Reed of Dayton, Ohio; and four sisters, Pauline "Peggy" Kortbein (Dennis), Hazel West (Les), Christine Brandenburg (Fred Jr.), and Louise Johns.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Hershel Dewayne Townsend, the son of the late Hershel and Phyllis Ann Raines Townsend was born in Irvine, Kentucky on October 3, 1976 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the age of 44 years, 1 month and 29 days.
He leaves behind one brother, Freddie Townsend (Paula) of Irvine; two sisters, Angela Moore (Harold) of Irvine, and Teresa Raines of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Cody, and Destiny Collins; and Casey and Kaitlyn Moore; two great nephews, Malachi Estes and Landon Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Hershel was preceded in death by his parents.

Willard Rogers, age 83, after a brief illness passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born in Powell County, March 23, 1937, he was the son of the late Bruce and Mary Susan Rogers. After living for a brief time in Michigan, working for General Motors, Willard returned to Powell County where he began his lifelong work as a self-employed businessman. He made his start by owning and managing a gas and service station and proceeded to build a successful career as an automobile dealer, establishing Rogers New Ford Sales and Rogers Used Cars. He was well known as a person you could trust, depend on, and come to anyone at their time of need.
It is no exaggeration to say that Willard lived life to its fullest. He loved playing cards, enjoying a day at Keeneland and smoking a good cigar. He had a wealth of great stories and was the best at telling them. He would make you laugh, and put a smile on your face, regardless of the situation. Willard will be missed by his family and friends, but the memories of his kindness, and his wonderful stories, will live on with those of us who crossed his path.
He survived by his children, Tina Patrick (Bill), Willard Keith Rogers (Heather), Dean Rogers (Kathy), Darlene Drake (Bobby) and Denise Campbell (Tim); a sister Rena; and three brothers: Larry, Sammy and Ricky Rogers. Willard had 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Willard was a loving father, uncle, grandfather and friend to everyone.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Duval Rogers, John Rogers, Harold Rogers, Eugene Rogers; and sisters, Mabel Rogers, Rosetta Spencer, and Gracie Townsend.
Burial will be on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Rogers Chapel Cemetery with Larry Drake, Corey Goad, Jacob Estes, Tim Campbell, Timber Drake, Bobby Drake, Darrell Rogers, and Marty Martinelli serving as pallbearers.

Rollie Edward Cox, age 89, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Baptist Health-Lexington. He was preceded in death in 2006 by his wife, Frances Durham Cox.
Rollie was born on July 6, 1931 in Estill County, Kentucky, and was the son of John and Emma Garrett Cox, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired independent distributor for over 25 years for Little Debbie and Rainbow Bread. He was a longtime member of Big Hill Christian Church and had been a Mason.
Survivors include one son, Edward M. Cox (Carrie) of Richmond; one daughter, Vickie Gail Rutledge (Don) of Albemarle, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Heather Lee Martin (Tommy), John Paul Rutledge (Molly), and Michael Cox (Sydney); four great grandchildren, Kinsey, Brody, Jack, and Asher; and one brother, James Cox.
Due to governmental Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Riggs officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Ryan Lenarrie Sweat, age 45, of Richmond, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November, 29, 2020.
Born June 24, 1975 in Richmond, Kentucky, he was the son of Wink Sweat and the late Carol A. White Sweat.
Ryan is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sweat; two sons, LaRyan Sweat and Ryan Sweat Jr.; one daughter, Erin; two brothers, Marvin Sweat and Wink Sweat Jr.; three sisters, Tara White, Sherry White and Carmen White; and two grandchildren.
Public visitation begins at 1:00 p.m., Saturday December, 5, 2020 at Lewis-Abner Home For Funerals until 3:00 p.m.

Lonnie Adkins Jr., age 39, of West Liberty, Kentucky, half-brother of Jessica Barnes of Irvine, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in the St. Mary Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia, after a brief illness.
He was born in West Liberty, Kentucky, on July 25, 1981 to Lonnie Adkins Sr. and the late Penny Lewis Adkins. He worked as a carpenter.
Lonnie Adkins Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Penny Lewis Adkins.
Surviving are his fiancée, Jennifer Sargent; his father, Lonnie Adkins Sr., one daughter, Alexis Marie Adkins, all of West Liberty; two step-daughters, Jenna Robin Legg of West Liberty, and Leslie Bryleigh Jaden Caskey of Morehead; a half-sister, Jessica Barnes (Rick) of Irvine,KY; two nieces, Laura Barnes and Avis Barnes Culton; and a great nephew. Grayson Culton.
Private funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel in West Liberty, with Elder Jackie Smith officiating. Burial was in Prater Cemetery, Salyersville. Private visitation was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 30th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Hager Adkins Sr., Hager Adkins Jr., Herbert Adkins, Brutus Adkins, Shawn Davis, and Derek Pennington.
