Mary Frances Halphen, age 79, of White Oak Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky, following a long illness.
She was born October 1, 1941 in West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William and Maggie Hall McDaniels. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Means, Irvine; three sons: Mike Jones (April), Stanton; Shawn Jones (Pam) and Kevin Jones (Angela), both of Irvine; one sister, Rosa Burris, Ohio; 18 grandchildren: Tory Jones (Tara), Tavia Richardson (Trent), Trevor Jones, Branson Jones, Alli Collins, Sarah Jones, Sydney Jones, Aubrey Jones, Adylin Jones, Noah Isaacs, Marlee Isaacs, Tyler Jones (Brittany), Katlyn Jones, Taylor Jones, Zachary Jones, James Means, Wesley Means (Shera) and Caria Means; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by several siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 7, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Acord officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tory Jones, Trevor Jones, Branson Jones, Zachary Jones, Tyler Jones, James Means and Wesley Jones.

Betty Ruth Turner, age 87, of Hood Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at her home following a short illness.
She was born February 19, 1934 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Dillard and Flora Dunn Horn. She was a homemaker and attended the Barnes Mountain Nazarene Church and later attended the Irvine Nazarene Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Willy Drennan Turner and is survived by her son, David Wayne Turner, Irvine; one sister, Wilma Hoover, Irvine; two brothers: Dillard Horn, Jr. and Jeff Horn, both of Irvine; seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four children: Lisa Carol Jenkins, Franklin Lee Turner, Kenneth Ray Turner and Johnny Ray Turner; two grandchildren; and five siblings: Ethel Denny, Lucy Dudney, Hester Hoover, Grace Cox and Garret Horn.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 6:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.

Glenna Marie Crowe, age 52, of Red River Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, following a short illness.
She was born June 21, 1969 in Fayette County and was the daughter of Mary Helen Waldridge Webb and the late Russell Glenn Webb. She was the Salutatorian of her graduating Class of 1987. She was a retired employee of the Estill County Board of Education and attended the Big Hill Avenue Christian Church and the Ivory Hill Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Survivors in addition to her mother include two daughters: Kacey Renee Richardson (Shawn) and Kortney LeAnne Estes (Adam), both of Estill County; one son, Joshua Lee Crowe, Estill County; one sister, Kimberly Renee Wolpert, Estill County; and one brother, Jonathan Wilbert Webb (Amanda), Estill County; seven grandchildren: Kylee Rae Crowe, Jessy Lee Crowe, Aliyah Marie Estes, Karleigh Laraine Estes, Ava Grace Estes, Macey Rene Estes and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 6, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Pearson and Bro. Marvin Neal officiating. Burial will be at the Webbs' Silver Mill Farms Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 5th from 6 to 9 p.m.
Pallbearers are Brian McGuire, Ethan Webb, Joshua Crowe, Adam Holmes, O.B. Charlton, Adam Estes, Jonathan Webb and Carl Ray Brooks.

Aurora Lynn Marie Barnes, 4 month old infant daughter of Brittany Henry and Jeremy Barnes passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born April 13, 2021.
Survivors in addition to her mother and father include two sisters: Alexandria Barnes and Addilynn Barnes; her grandparents: Michael Henry, Amy Henry, Jessica Richmond and Linda Rader; and her great grandparents: Evelyn Henry, Jeff Henry and Marilyn Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Rader.
Private funeral services were conducted for the family on Friday, September 3, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Burial was at the Hardy Cemetery.

Opal Wiseman West, age 91, of the Pendleton Community near New Castle in Henry County, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was a Homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, J.C. West; and two sisters, Linda Abney and Arine Henry.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Satterly (Larry); grandchildren, Tabitha Welborn (Barry) and Todd Satterly (Michelle); great grandchildren, Aidan and Ellie Kate Welborn; step-great grandchildren, Michael Stewart (Hailey) and Ryan Stewart (Caroline); siblings, Aleen Muncie, Phillip Wiseman (Margaret), Lois Long (Mike), Polly Hall (Wayne) and Wilma Chaney (Larry).
A Celebration of Life was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange with burial following in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 PM on Tuesday.

The world lost a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Christine Murphy, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
She was born March 9, 1935. Christine battled a chronic illness, but it never stopped her from showing her love for her husband of 68 years and her family. Christine passed peacefully at Mercy Health-Marcum & Wallace Hospital with her husband and two daughters at her side.
Christine’s family includes her loving husband, Scotty Murphy, her two daughters, Sharon Whitaker (Tom) and Leshia Rhodes (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Courtney Harrison (Greg), Phillip Rhodes, and Casaundra Mink (Robby); and her precious great grandchildren which would always put a sparkle in her eyes: Dalton Riddle, Daxton Harrison, Emmalynn Mink, Everleigh Mink, Aubrey Rhodes, Addison Rhodes, Cooper Rhodes and Calyee Rhodes.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Nona Coffey Isaacs.
She was a former Carhartt employee of 26 years and retired from Mercy Health-Marcum & Wallace Hospital after 13 years of service.
Friends and family are invited to offer their condolences at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home on Friday evening, September 3, 2021, 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4that at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating the ceremony.

Jay “Ted” Mansfield, Jr., age 89, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Baptist Health – Richmond.
Mr. Mansfield, the son of the late Jay and Martha Lou Patrick Mansfield, Sr., was born in Estill County on January 6, 1931. He retired from IBM and was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and enjoyed studying with Shepherd’s Chapel.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Connie Freeman of Richmond; his brother and sister-in-law, Brutus and Rose Mansfield; two grandchildren: Valerie Jo Drake and Jason Freeman (& Amy) and his great granddaughter: Alaina Drake.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 3085 Lexington Road, Richmond. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., Saturday.

Carolyn Romans, age 73, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away at her residence Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
She was born May 6, 1948 in Grayson, Kentucky, to William and Carma Romans. She was a member of the Easter Valley Baptist Church.
Carolyn is survived by a son, Samuel Gollihue of Irvine; two daughters: Lynn Gollihue of Stanton, and Terri Tipton of Irvine; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers: Ricky Lutes of Winchester, and Donnie Romans of Morehead; and a sister, Sonya Gail Hobbs of Clay City.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Easter Valley Baptist Church in Irvine with Bro. Mike Davis officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 5:00 p.m. till time of the service at the church.

Donald Ray Willis, age 82, of Blackburn Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness.
He was born January 4, 1939 in Madison County and was the son of the late Joe Merrill Willis and Virginia Hardy Willis. He was retired from the American Tobacco Company and had lived in Estill County all his life.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty June Riddell Willis; and is survived by two daughters: Deborah Kelley and Lisa Willis, both of Estill County; two sisters: Lilla Neal, Ohio; and Linda Hall, Fayette County; two brothers: Bobby Willis and Joe Willis, Jr., both of Estill County; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 3, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, September 2nd from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tami Kathleen Rhodus Cain, age 46, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021.
Tami, the daughter of Richard Rhodus and Rose Johnson Morris, was born in Madison County on March 3, 1975. She loved the family farm and had enjoyed working in tobacco. She grew up attending Kirksville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Tami is survived by three sons: Timothy Duerson of Mt. Vernon, Daniel Rhodus of Irvine, and Jacob Cain of Berea; three daughters: Anna Duerson of Richmond, Amber Duerson of Irvine, and Katie Cain of Berea; her paternal grandmother, Catherine Rhodus; two brothers: B.J. Rhodus (Lindsay) and Richard Rhodus; five grandchildren: Aaliyah, Camden, Riley, Bailey and Landon; and several nieces and nephews.
Tami was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edgar “Bug” Rhodus; and her maternal grandparents: Kenneth L. and Alberta Powell Johnson.
The family has chosen private services with burial in the Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.

Cordelia Sparks, age 85, of Oak Valley Drive in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born June 5, 1936, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Rufford B. and Emmer Ree Morris McKinney. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County all her life. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Sparks.
She is survived by one daughter, Wilma L. Kelley, Estill County; one son, Gary D. Sparks (Elizabeth), Versailles; two grandchildren: April Harrison and Clarissa Harrison; and three great grandchildren: Brooklyn Crowe, Charlee Crowe, and Taylor Williams.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings: Adath Fox, Ineth Sparks, Mafrey Lamb, Reva Gordon, Ancil McKinney, Milford McKinney, Hurley McKinney, and Hogan McKinney.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 4, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Estes Cemetery. Visitation was held between 11:00 a.m. and service time at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Judy Rae Tuttle, age 68, of Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Indiana, May 2, 1953 to Cecil and Willa Jean Wells McCall. She was a clerk with Carhartt Inc. for 28 years and a member of the Ravenna Church of God for 31 years. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and was a great cook.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Alice Tuttle; a granddaughter, Kiersten Tuttle and partner Shane; three great grandchildren: Caden, Carter and Chelsea; a brother, James McCall (Dana); and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Tuttle; a son, David Tuttle; and a sister, Diana McCall.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Ravenna Church of God with Bro. Lindsey Cornett officiating. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 a.m. till time of the service. Burial will be in the West Irvine Cemetery.

Pamela Sue Frymyer, age 73, of the Lee County Nursing Home in Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Kentucky Medical Center at Jackson, Kentucky, following a long illness.
She was born September 19, 1947 in Richmond, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Anna Lou Harrison and the late James E. Harrison. She lived in Estill County most of her life, caring for her two children, working a while at the American Tape Factory in Richmond, retiring from there on disability.
Pamela was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Denise Frymyer; her father, James Harrison; her sister, Debra Witt; and grandparents, Ben and Florence Whitener and Willie and Rebecca Harrison.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Lou Whitener Harrison;
her son, Larry James “Jamie” Frymyer; a granddaughter, Brandi Frymyer; her niece, Deanna Neal; and many cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

Wanda Sue Fox Fielder, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Berea.
Wanda was born in Estill County to the late Ezart and Margie Pearl Redmond Fox. She had been a seamstress for Carhartt Inc.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and Johnny Fox.
Wanda is survived by her sons: Thomas Viars (Mollie), Wesley Viars, and Jeffery Kortbein; and her siblings, Jimmy Fox (Cheryl), Hubie Fox (Nancy), and Bill Fox (Kathy); five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home, 203 North Dogwood Drive, Berea. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Leslie Wayne West, age 81, of Elm Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a sudden illness.
He was born May 18, 1940, in Estill County, a son of the late Helen West. He was a retired Conductor with CSX Railroad and had lived in Estill County most his life. He was a member of the Fitchburg Masonic Lodge #562.
Mr. West is survived by his wife, Hazel Reed West; one stepdaughter, Michelle Snowden (Greg), Estill County; a stepson, Chris Philpot, Estill County; a brother-in-law, Russell Abney, Estill County; three nieces: Donna Bingham (Dwayne), Debbie McIntosh, and Angela Lunsford; and a special cousin, Wayne West.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leander and Molly West; and a sister: Charlotte Abney.
Private funeral services will be held on a later date.

She was born January 19, 1939 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Dillard and Flora Dunn Horn. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, quilting, and gardening. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Grace is survived by four daughters: Debra Cox Freeman (Gary), Kathy Cox Watson, Sheila Cox Leslie (Marty), and Clarissa Ann Cox (Missy); three sons: Joey Allen Cox, Jason Cox (April), and Elby Jared Cox (Misty); two sisters: Betty Ruth Turner and Wilma Hoover; two brothers: Dillard Horn, Jr. and Jeff Horn; 12 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Horn Denny, Lucy Dudney, and Hester Hoover; and one brother, Garret Horn.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 30, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be at the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 29th from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ruth Cox Harrison, age 60, of Park Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond after a year-long battle with small cell lung cancer.
She was born February 23, 1961 and was the daughter of the late Roy and Grace Chamberlain Cox. She lived in Estill County all her life and worked several jobs including Carhartt, Dollar General, and most recently, Save-A-Lot. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, antiques, traveling and Christmas. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband, Wayne Harrison; one son, Steven Travis Harrison; a special great nephew, Tyler Burchfield, whom she thought of as a son; one sister, Wilma Jane Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two infants, Sarah and Wayne Harrison; and five siblings; Joyce Cox, Cleata Richardson, Darrell Cox, Roy Cox and Sue Cox.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Lena Pearl Neikirk, age 91, of Main Street in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Warm Hearth Kruntje Memory Care Center in Blacksburg, Virginia, following a long illness.
She was born November 17, 1929 in Irvine, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late James Rice McGee and Nannie Kate Noland McGee. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Loudoun County Public Schools and Health Department. She attended the Perciville Baptist Church in Loudoun County, Virginia, and the First Christian Church in Irvine.
Mrs. Neikirk is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Oliver Neikirk; and is survived by three sons: Karl Wesley Neikirk (Maridele), Winchester, Virginia; Jeffrey Raymond Neikirk (Dottie), Blacksburg, Virginia; and Paul Curtis Neikirk, Estill County; one sister, Eva Faye Miller, Estill County; five grandchildren: Violet Neikirk, Jess Neikirk, Sara Werner, Rose Mitchell and Hannah Nevill; and three great grandchildren: Lana Neikirk, Luke Werner and Noah Werner.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brenton Raymond Neikirk; and four siblings, Annie Baber, Ina Ruth Powell, James McGee and Oakley McGee.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 27, 2021, 10:00 a.m., at the Irvine First Christian Church with Bro. Adrian McKinney and Bro. Greg Humpert officiating. Burial was at the South Irvine Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m., Friday, at the Church.
Pallbearers were Matthew Mitchell, Rose Neikirk Mitchell, Violet Neikirk, Jess Neikirk, Sarah Werner, Tim McGee and Robbie Powell.

Carrol G. Richardson, age 83, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Reid Health.
Born July 28, 1938, in Drip Rock, Kentucky, to Earl and Hallie Becknell Richardson, Carrol lived in Richmond, Indiana, most of his life. He retired from Belden after 38 years of service. Carrol was a member of Ravinia Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed picking the banjo, playing the fiddle, hunting, and gardening. Carrol loved his family very much.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Ella Back Richardson; two sons, Tim and Dean Richardson and Ronnie Razor; three daughters, Gayle Wright, Michelle Kinsey, and Kimberly Branscome; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Richardson; and two sisters, Ernestine Joines and JoAnn Wellman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Doug and Tommy Richardson; and a sister, Louise Webb.
Visitation for Carrol G. Richardson was held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Ravinia Park Baptist Church, 3015 South B Street, Richmond, Indiana. Funeral service followed at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the church with Pastor Ross Terry officiating. Burial was in Richardson Cemetery, the family cemetery in Drip Rock, Kentucky, Estill County.

John Wallace Preston, age 59, of Little Rock Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at his home.
He was born October 11, 1961 in Louisa, Kentucky, and was the son of the late John Norman Preston and Doris June Peck Greenwall. He attended the Panola Baptist Church.
Mr. Preston is survived by his wife, Margaret Reiff Preston; one daughter, Nykita Elizabeth King, Lancaster; one son, John Wallace Preston II, Santa Claus, Indiana; three sisters: Pamela Thompson, Stanford; Janet Forgea, Florida; and Karen Moore, Nicholasville; and three grandchildren: Nathan King, Audrey King and Abigail Preston.

Audrey Mae Adams, age 94, of Poplar Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
She was born October 3, 1926 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Crowe Abney. She was a retired employee of the Irvine Health Care Center and was a member of the Ravenna Church of God. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Adams; and is survived by two daughters: Alma Gay Freimuth, Bellevue; and Shelia Deloris Adams, Irvine; two brothers: Arthur Lee Abney and Hubert Clay Abney, both of Ohio; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wavelene Adams Tipton; and eight siblings: Viola Heid, Beulah Lewis, Alene Moore, Lucille McIntosh, Ruth Whittaker, Eugene Abney, Roy Thomas Abney and Berry Virgil Abney.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Winkler and Donnie Watson officiating. Burial will be at the Kennon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
