Brian Cecil Estes, 57

Brian Cecil Estes, age 57, of Palatka, Florida, passed from this life unexpectedly on Friday, October 29, 2021 at home from natural causes.
A native of Irvine, Kentucky, he lived in Palatka since 1978, coming from Winchester, Kentucky. Brian attended school at the E.H. Miller School and had worked at the ARC workshop. Brian enjoyed watching sports and especially Palatka Panthers Football, the Florida Gators and the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the scenes of the St. Johns River.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Estes; and by his grandparents, Green B. and Ollie Mae Tipton Estes and Elsie Patrick Profitt.
Brian is survived by his mother, Lucille Estes of Palatka; a brother, Jason Estes (Tracy) of Newark, Deleware; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as numerous neighbors who also loved and enjoyed Brian.
Services celebrating Brian’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Murry Moore officiating. Private burial will be at West View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m.

Kenneth N. Snowden, age 75, of Poplar Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at his home following a short illness.
He was born October 7, 1946, in Estill County and was the son of the late Ralph Nelson Snowden and Alma Witt. He was a retired CSX employee and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
Mr. Snowden is survived by his wife, Mary Sharon Damrel Snowden; two sons: Craig Snowden and Justin Snowden, both of Estill County; one step-daughter, April Mullins, Estill County; one step-son, Joshua Cartwright, Estill County; one sister, Wanda Rotarious, Michigan; and two grandchildren: Raelyn Snowden and
Lane Snowden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Alma Joyce Snowden.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, November 3, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the West Irvine Cemetery with military honors to be performed. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.

Wolfgang “Wolf” Born, age 73, husband of Donna DeFino Born, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his home.
He was born on August 22, 1948, in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Rudolph Schmid and Meta Beck Born. He was retired owner of the Stuffs Military Surplus. He enjoyed his hobbies of side-by-side riding, metal sculpting and growing sunflowers. He was active in the Lady Veterans Connect.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters: Dawn Tanner (Steve) of Pinckneyville, Illinois; and Rhonda Smith of Alabama; a brother, Keith Born (Jean) of Fargo, North Dakota; three grandchildren: Dustin and Skye Tanner of Illinois; and Ashley Edwards (Brandon Farley) of Lexington; two great grandchildren, Joseph and Wolfgang Farley; several nieces and nephews and all his side-by-side riding buddies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lydia Bisch; a brother, Craig Born; and a nephew, Joshua Born.
No services are planned.

Clyde Dale Wiseman, age 63, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on September 15, 1958, in Richmond, Kentucky, to the late Clyde Wiseman and Linda Holbrook Wiseman.
Mr. Wiseman enjoyed spending time with friends. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR racing. One of his favorite pastimes was pranking and spoiling his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Holbrook Wiseman; one brother, Steven Charles Wiseman; two sisters, Kathy Lynn Durbin (Leon) and Hope Camfield (Phillip); numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Clyde Dale Wiseman will be conducted on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the White Oak Church of God with Brother Glyndon Woosley officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunaway Cemetery. Mr. Wiseman will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 P.M. at the church. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 1st at the Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals.

Betty Jean Roberts, age 81, of Ravenna, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home.
Betty was born on August 27, 1940 in McKee, Kentucky to the late Robert J. and Dovie Wolfe Murray.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by four brothers, David, Darrell, Kenny and Ed Murray, and a grandson, Timothy Cobble.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Roberts; three daughters: Debra Cobble, Carol Wiegman (Carl), and Joni Boyd (Ike); one son, Randall Roberts (Marlena); five brothers: Doug Murray (Lou), Lonnie Murray (Linda), Paul Murray (Brenda), Philip Murray (Royetta), and Tom Murray (Dorthey); five sisters: Jennie Bare (Gary), Alice Howe (Bruce), Sharon Murray, Lisa Murray, and Sue Ball (Jack); 12 grandchildren: Ashley, Ike IV, Jessica, Heather, Aleisha, Joshua, Katherine, Benjamin, Mikel, Christopher, Daniel, and Timothy; 17 great grandchildren: Elijah, Charity, Dalton, Nevaeh,Jacob, Joshua Brice, Hunter, Kieran, Ladonna, Laura, Colton, James, Elisha, Caleb, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Ellie; also many other nieces and nephews and relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Betty Jean Roberts will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021 in the chapel of Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals with Brother Billy Stamper officiating. Music will be provided by God's Family Connection. Interment will follow at the South Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 30th from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Conner, age 56, husband of Amanda Hall Conner, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky.
A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was born on May 5, 1965, to the late Grant and Joann Smith Conner. He was retired from Leggett and Platt and a former Boy Scout Leader.
He is survived by his wife; five children: Crystal Hatton (Nate), Samantha Conner (Vincent Towe), Christopher Conner, Danyel Conner, and Mary Conner; six grandchildren: Sean Fitzgerald, Damian Conner, Gavin Clem, Amelia Hatton, Rayven Hatton, River Towe; two brothers, Randy Conner (Jennifer) and Tony Conner (Melissa); two sisters-in-law, Michelle Hall (Stevie Barnes) and Angel Flinchum; his nieces that he helped raise, Maggie Flinchum, Sara Flinchum, Christina Flinchum, and Nevaeh Hall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Wayne Conner; and one brother-in-law, Nikita Flinchum.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel of Scobee Funeral Home, 219 Lexington Avenue, Winchester. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel.

Donald Ray Hardy, age 68, of Broadway in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Baptist Health in Richmond following a short illness.
He was born June 19, 1953 in Estill County and was the son of Pairelee Johnson Hardy Angel and the late Leon Hardy. He was a former store owner and had lived in Estill County all his life.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gail Hardy; his daughter, Charlena Hardy, Estill County; his son, Shannon Hardy, Estill County; one step-daughter, Marie Neal, Estill County; two step-sons, Tim Neal, and Rick Neal, both of Estill County; one sister, Maggie Oliver, Estill County; three brothers: Orville Hardy, James Bear Hardy, and Cecil Hardy, Estill County; two grandchildren: Jaxson Hardy and
Kaden Hardy; eight step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Bobby Hardy and Gary Hardy.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial will be at the Hardy Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brenda May Crump Vinson, age 67, of Little Doe Creek Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Baptist Health in Richmond, following a long illness.
She was born October 20, 1954 in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Crecy Arvin Isaacs. She was a retired caregiver and attended the Providence Baptist Church.
Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her husbands, William Crump and Thomas Vinson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Crump, Estill County; her son, James Crump (Tammy), Scott County; two sisters: Ruby Taylor and Teresa Marcum, both of Estill County; two brothers: Virgil Isaacs, Jr. and Nathan Isaacs, both of Estill County; four grandchildren: Megan Crump, Zachary Crump, Savanah Warner and Brandon Warner; and three great grandchildren: Emily Mae Rose, Logan James Rose and Levi Hays Coffee.
Brenda Vinson was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Faye Kelley.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 29, 2021, 12:00 Noon, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Brooks officiating. Burial will be at the Marcum Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.

Kenneth J. Rice, age 75, of Reese Street in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Baptist Health in Lexington, following a short illness.
He was born December 4, 1945 in Estill County and was the son of the late Otis J. and Rosa Nell Kelly Rice. He was a retired Carhartt, Inc. employee and a member of the Rice Station Christian Church. He was president of the Estill County Farm Bureau Federation, a member of the Estill County Cattlemen’s Association, the Estill County 4H Council and was a past president of the Estill County Fair Board. He was a member of the O.D. Henderson Masonic Lodge and a member of Irvine Chapter 357 Order of the Eastern Star.
Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Marcia Smith Rice;
his daughter, Tamara Rose (Dellas), Estill County; one brother, Ralph Edward Rice, Estill County; and one grandchild, Kenny Dell Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kenneth J. Rice, II.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 27, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Hall officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

She was born in Irvine, November 9, 1943 to William and Nannie Belle Edmonson Dixon.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Brinegar (Glenn); a granddaughter, Jessica Abell (Jeremy); two step-grandchildren, Cheyenne Brinegar and Russell Brineger; a brother, Lester Dixon (Agnes); and a sister, Edith Turpin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the New Vision Full Gospel Church with Bro. Buford Powell and Bro. Sidney Sparks officiating. Friends may visit Monday, October 25th from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the West Irvine Cemetery.

Ralph Anthony Holbrook, age 74, of Dry Branch Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Lexington.
He was born March 16, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Ralph T. and Eileen Adams Holbrook. He was a retired electrician and a member of the VFW, Masonic Lodge, and Estill County Golf Club. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and had lived in Estill County for the last 25 years.
Mr. Holbrook is survived by his wife, Mary Cole Holbrook; one daughter, Jennifer Bond, Clark County; three sisters: Judy Bray, Joan Ruth, both of Arizona; and Barbara Gerrard, Idaho; and one brother, Steve Holbrook, Arizona.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Carroll.
There are no services scheduled at this time.

Marion “Ron” Cox, age 61, of Duncan Street in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, following a short illness.
He was born December 27, 1959 in Jackson County and was the son of the late Willie and Dora Smith Cox. He worked in computer repair and was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Shawnee Branch. He had lived in Louisville most of his life.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Mary Lois Haley Cox; two daughters: Dora Cox and Lillie Wittmer (Ryan), both of Indiana; three sons: Willie Cox, Indiana; Larry Cox, Idaho; and Jerry Cox, Louisville; four grandchildren: Tyler Cox, Jacob Cox, Conner Stine and Rayne Stine; seven sisters: Maudie Richardson, Frances Feagins, both of Irvine; Dorothy Blackwood, Illinois; Ethel Richardson, Irvine; Helen Clark (Eugene), McKee; Alice Townsend (Creed Joe), and Nancy Fox (Hubbie), both of Irvine; one brother, Ivan Everett (Nancy), Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Reva Cox; four brothers, Ledford, Oba, Daniel and George Cox; eight half-sisters, Lydia Cox, Lona Cox, Nellie Lynch, Nannie Brandenburg, Della Lynch, Dovie Oaks, Flora Clark, Ora Pearson; and two half-brothers, Leonard and Howard Cox.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Isaacs and Bro. Billy Stamper officiating. Burial was at the Cox Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born January 25, 1986 in Irvine to Lloyd and Nellie Thacker Estes.
Mr. Estes is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Nellie Thacker Estes; and two brothers: Stephen Scott Estes and Lloyd Christopher Estes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 Noon till time of the service. Burial will follow in the Beatty Place Cemetery in Lee County.

Karen Lynn Wilson, age 57, of Lincoln Avenue in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at her home.
She was born October 20, 1964 in Estill County and was the daughter of Glendon Cox and the late Joyce Ann Cox. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Survivors in addition to her father include her husband, James Wilson; one daughter, Alicia Riddell, Irvine; one son, Jimmy Mills (Meghan), Irvine; two sisters: Janet Whitley (Paul), Irvine; and Sheryl May (Kevin), Richmond; and six grandchildren: Dylan Henry, Grace Henry, Alivia Henry, Joseph Henry, Jace Mills and Rocky Mills.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Glenda Cox.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 23, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m at the funeral home.

Steven Wayne Tipton, age 69, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at The Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
Steve was born on August 6, 1952, in Madison County to the late Bettie Shelton Case and G.T. Tipton.
Mr. Tipton was an avid fisherman and started the Estill County High School Bass Fishing Team. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Susan Tipton; a son, Robert Tipton (Joni); a daughter, Elizabeth Renner (Jeff); a grandson, Colton Renner; and a brother, Billy Shelton (Susan).
Memorial services for Steven Wayne Tipton will be conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals chapel. Jeffrey “Skeeter” Wade Smith, age 57, of Ravenna, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Richmond, KY.
He was born January 20, 1964, in Wolfe County, a son of James Franklin Smith and the late Jean Spencer Smith. He worked in the business and banking industry, spanning multiple positions in Kentucky, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Jersey. He was a former employee of Citizens Guaranty Bank.
He resided in Estill County for the past 21 years and is survived by his father, James Franklin Smith of Estill County; his two daughters, Kristin Gilvin and
Shelby Smith, both of Florida; and his brother, Jerry Smith (Dianne) of Estill County.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Frances Louise Beckler, age 64, of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Marcum Wallace Hospital in Irvine.
Miss Beckler was born on December 14, 1956, in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Achilles Beckler and Mollie Robertson Beckler. She was a cashier at Save-A-Lot Foods is Irvine, and a former long-time employee of Dollar General Stores in Irvine.
Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Sondra Ella Beckler.
She is survived by three brothers: Elmer Scott Beckler, David Beckler (Amanda), and Jeff Beckler (Elana); a special aunt, Marian Beckler; a niece, Mollee Beckler; three nephews, Levi, Alex, and Evan Beckler; along with a host of other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Frances Louise Beckler will be conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals with Brother Mike Chism officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in the South Irvine community. Visitation will be Thursday, October 28th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born on January 13, 1971 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Danny Berl Kidd and Alma “Cricket” Kidd. She was a patient care tech. for Baptist Health in Richmond.
In addition to her father, Melissa was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kidd; and her grandfather, Raleigh Arvin.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Lovin; her mother, Alma “Cricket” Kidd; two daughters: Ciara Arvin and Haley McIntosh (Austin); one grandson, Mason McIntosh; a very special aunt, Lucy Arvin; and many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.

Mildred “Doll” Snowden, age 83, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky.
She was born January 7, 1938 in Estill County to Holbert and Willie Mae Neal. She was a housewife and a member of the Irvine First Church of God.
Mrs. Snowden is survived by a son, Chris Snowden; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and three sisters: Debbie Clowers (Danny), Carolyn Stacy, and Corene Cole.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elva Snowden; three sons, Ronnie Herald Neal, Randy Neal, and Timothy Snowden; a brother, Midleon Neal; and two sisters, Annita Faye Brinegar and Colleen Joyce Muncie.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Irvine with Bro. Eric Patrick officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday, October 19th from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Irvine.

Douglas Wayne “Big Doug” Newman, age 58, of Moore Cemetery Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Beattyville.
He was born May 7, 1963 in Madison County and was the son of the late Vernon and Dollie Patton Newman. He was a logger and he loved his family, his dogs, hunting and being in the woods.

Newman, Ethan Shane Newman, Shane Michael Davis, and Darryl Ray Davis; five daughters: Ashley Newman, Sarah Mohon, Dixie Hall, Glenna Davis, and Mollie Wilson; two sisters: Fonda Kelley (G.B.) and Wilma Kelley; 15 grandchildren; and special friends: Jason Young and Curt Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Newman.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Roberts Cemetery.
Pallbearers were G.B. Kelley Jr., Bryon Roberts, Shannon Kelley, Jessie Hall, Keith Boykin and Tim McKinney.
Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Gene Kelley, Clintwood Kelley, Rick Harris, Mike Lynch, Mike Stevens, Billy Jack Alcorn, Chuckie Oliver and Merle Horn.
The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Carrie Lynn Richardson, age 52, wife of James Richardson of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away at Mercy Health Marcum and Wallace Hospital on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Robert William Demmons and the late Catherine Burd Demmons Watson, and she was a former factory employee of Winchester Coating.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Robert Richardson, Ashley Richardson and Jasmine Richardson; and a stepson, James Richardson, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, James Richardson; two daughters, Gracie Richardson of Irvine and Cathy Richardson McCormick of Henderson; two stepsons, Robert Begley and Joshua Watkins; three sisters, Roberta Nolan (Preston) of Stanton, Kim Demmons of Bowen and Cheryl Stone (Tracy) of Winchester; and four grandchildren, Daniel James Willoughby, Levi Haydon Willoughby, Destiny Watkins and Christina Watkins.
