Dock Mason Dunn

    Dock Mason Dunn of Campton, Kentucky, departed this life Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was a son of the late Dock Junior and Margie Taylor Dunn born in Campton, Kentucky on April 28, 1955.
    Mr. Dunn is survived by one daughter, Ivory Dunn of Campton; four brothers, Michael Dunn of Duluth, Georgia; Eugene Dunn of Campton, Felix Ray Dunn of Irvine, and Johnny Dunn of Campton; one sister, Peggy Ann Dunn of Campbellsville; two very special great-nieces, Sierra Dunn and Danica Klatt; and two special nephews, Jason Dunn and Jacob Dunn.
    He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
    Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his parents, Dock Junior and Margie Taylor Dunn; and one brother, Emery Dunn.
    Serving as pallbearers; Jason Dunn, Jacob Dunn, Carl Gray, Johnny Dunn, Felix R. Dunn and Eugene Dunn.
    Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Porter & Son Funeral Directors, Campton, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Rose-Swango-Tutt Cemetery, Trace Fork, Wolfe County.

Dorothy Mae Howe

    Dorothy Mae Howe, age 86, of Elm Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at Baptist Health in Lexington, following a long illness.
    She was born October 16, 1935 in Estill County and was the daughter of Raymond and Tilda Townsend Cole. She was a former nurse’s aide and was a member of the Irvine First Church of God. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.
    Mrs. Howe was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Jackson Howe; and is survived by one daughter, Catherine Sue Puckett, Irvine; two sons: Gregory Scott Browning, Stanton; and Christopher Andrew Browning - Monterey, California; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Emery Darrell Browning; one sister, Ruby Hall; and six brothers, Hargis, Marcus, Junior, Victor, Joe and Delmar Cole.
    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Cole Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Ruby Marie Brooks, age 83, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling.
    She was born July 8, 1938 in Jackson, Kentucky, to Rosco and Vena Newton. She was a housewife and a member of the Means Church.
    Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Lemon Brooks of Mt. Sterling; two sons: Lemon Wayne Brooks (Evelyn) of Irvine, and Ricky Brooks (Tina) of Mt. Sterling; four daughters: Theresa Roe (William) of Wellington; Judy Patrick (Rick), Pamela Centers (Mark), and Tena Martin, all of Mt. Sterling; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Rogers; a grandson, Brandon Rogers; and four brothers: David Napier, Ronald Creech, Ruben Newton and Ray Creech.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Tommy Evans officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. 'till time of the service. Burial will be in the Lovely Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

    Kimberly Kay Estes Weaver, age 57, of Richwood Blvd. in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, following a long illness.
    She was born May 7, 1964 in Irvine and was the daughter of Jerry and Norma Fay Puckett Estes. She was a former engineer with the Bluegrass Army Depot and a past member of the River Drive Christian Church. She had lived in Madison County most of her life.
    Kimberly is survived by her parents, Jerry and Norma Estes, Irvine; her daughter, Chelsey Morgan Weaver, Richmond; and her fiancé, Jimmy Hacker, Richmond.
    Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 29, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Groves officiating. Burial will be at the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clayton Horn


    Clayton Horn, 77, of Berea, Kentucky, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital Berea.
    He was a resident of Madison County for over 30 years, born March 7, 1944 in Estill County, a son of the late George Washington Horn and Ida Mae Murphy Horn. Clayton was a United States Marine Corps veteran and former Blue Grass Army Depot employee. He was a member of American Legion and played country/western music in a band.
    In addition to his parents, Clayton is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Linda Stokley Horn; a son, Skip Horn; siblings Jr, Elden, Gennett, and Betty.
    He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Horn; a son, Garry Horn; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two brothers, Preston Horn Sr. and Jesse Horn; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
    In accordance with Clayton’s wishes, he was cremated. Graveside service will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at West Irvine Cemetery.

    Adam Shane Haggard, 45, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his home.
    A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was born on April 14, 1976, to Belvin Lee Haggard and Joy K. Shelley. Adam was a masonry worker.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by four daughters, Jessica Haggard, Samantha Haynes, both of Sevierville, Tennessee; Melonie and Megan Haggard, both of Irvine; three grandchildren; a sister, Casey Raney (Robert); an aunt, Linda Anes; and several extended family members including Sabrina Elam; and many friends.
    Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 by Dr. Ed Mesta at Winchester Cemetery's White Shelter.

    Danny McIntosh, age 74, of Little Rock Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his home following a short illness.
    He was born October 12, 1947 in Estill County and was the son of Roy and Helen Rice McIntosh. He was a retired Square D employee and had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. McIntosh is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Babb McIntosh; one daughter, Donna Faye Cockrell, Estill County; one son, Boone Raydan McIntosh, Estill County; two sisters: Joyce Ann Rawlins McIntosh and Sandra McKinney, both of Estill County; two brothers: Roy McIntosh, Madison County; and Sammy McIntosh, Estill County; two grandchildren: Barry Vires and Nicholas Vires; and one great grandchild, Kenleigh Vires.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Danny Ray McIntosh; and four siblings, Dorothy Garrett, Bobby McIntosh, Nathan McIntosh and Kenneth Ray McIntosh.

    Della Ann Brakefield, age 81, of Poplar Street in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
    She was born November 22, 1940 in Champaign County, Ohio and was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Nichols McKeever. She was a homemaker who had also worked part-time at Cracker Barrel, Outback, the Estill County School System and the Senior Citizens Center. She attended the Williams Memorial Baptist Church and was a former member of the Ravenna Methodist Church.
    Mrs. Brakefield was preceded in death by her husband, Bolan Almond Brakefield; and is survived by her son, William Brakefield, Estill County; three stepchildren: Kathy Harrison, Kenny Brakefield, both of Estill County; and Tommy Brakefield, Powell County; one brother, Jerry McKeever, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two stepsons, Bolan Brakefield, Jr. and Paul Brakefield; and two brothers, John and James McKeever.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 27, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Rogers officiating. Burial was at the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

    Larry Benton Mayse, age 67, husband of Mary Morris Mayse, departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
    Larry was born June 23, 1954 in Beattyville, a son to the late Junice and Beulah Mae Johnson Mayse. He was a retired quarry worker for the Kentucky Stone Company in Yellow Rock and was a member of the Little Creek Church on Spencer Ridge of Lee County.
    He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Morris Mayse; three sons: Brian Mayse (Jennifer), Larry Mayse (Cindy), and Tim Johnson (Crystal), all of Beattyville; one brother, Carl Mayse (Floices); three sisters, Jo Thacker, Hopie Thacker, both of Irvine; and Ellis Marie Mayse of Stanton; six grandchildren: Harlan McKinley Mayse, Brian Benton Mayse, Dylan Scott Mayse, River Mayse, Cainie Mayse, and Holly Johnson; along with many other loving family members, and friends.
    Larry was preceded in death his parents, Junice and Beulah Mae Johnson Mayse; one daughter, Marsha Mayse; and four brothers: Junice Jackson Mayse, Randall Mayse, Shannon Mayse, and Leo Mayse.

    Carol Ann Reynolds Haller, age 78, of Harris Ferry Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital in Irvine.
    She was born August 30, 1943, in Carter County and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Ruth Scott Reynolds. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Wisemantown United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Garden Thyme Herb Club and had lived in Estill County for the last 23 years.
    Mrs. Haller was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Haller III.
    She is survived by one son, Steve Haller IV of Virginia and his family, Jean and Garrett; one daughter, April Lee Masters of Estill County and her family, Johnny and Seth; one sister, Bo McCreary, Estill County; and her long-time companion, Clayton Hedge.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Reynolds; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy McCreary.
    Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, November 27, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Wisemantown United Methodist Church with Sis. Bethany Keith officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.

    She was born January 2, 1954 in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Lonnie and Ella Rogers Marcum.
    Survivors include two daughters, Angela Renee Williams and Connie Howard; a step-daughter, Teresa Morton (Kenny); two sisters, Carol Ciferri and Lydia Patrick; a brother, Orval Marcum; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Robinson, Logan Watkins, RJ Watkins, Emily Watkins, Ian Morton, Steven Morton, and Hunter Townsend; five great grandchildren, Adrian Smith, Chloe Smith, Kendall Morton, Stella Morton, and Lucas Watkins; and several nieces and nephews.

    Sheila Yvonne Murray, age 71, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at home, Monday, November 8, 2021.
    Sheila was born February 22, 1950 in Belleview, Ohio; grew up in Decatur County, Indiana, lived in Westport as an adult, later in Clay City, Kentucky, and had resided in Seymour since 2010. She was a member of Surprise Christian Church. She has worked at Muscatatuck, Walmart in Seymour, and Lexmark in Kentucky. She loved her family, her dogs and shopping.
    Mrs. Murray is survived by her husband, Claude Robert "Bob" Murray; two sons, Robert Glasson III, Tracy Glasson (Connie) of Irvine, Kentucky; and one stepson, Roger Murray (Monica) of Seymour; five grandchildren, Katie Glasson, Robert Glasson IV (Monica); Tyler Glasson (Sydney), Dakota Glasson, and Jaelynn Miles; and eleven grand children: Mickenna, Huntley, Kiser, Brantley, Athena, Tracy, Joshua, Joseph, Andrew, Blake, Brianna; one great grandchild, Grayson; three siblings, Terry “Butch” Adams (Bert) of Westport, Sherri Adams of Lexington, and Mike Adams (Valerie) of Mt. Sterling; a sister-in-law, Sandra Adams of Westport; and many nieces and nephews.
    Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Iola Adams; her father, James Winfield Adams; an older brother, Donald Adams (Sandra); an older sister, Sue Corbin, and her former husband, Robert Glasson Jr.

Charles Thomas “Tommy” Stamper


    Charles Thomas “Tommy” Stamper, age 72, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
    He was born on August 23, 1949, in Beattyville, Kentucky to the late Aaron and Ethel Kathrine Estes Stamper. Mr. Stamper was an United States Army Vietnam Veteran and an accomplished Bluegrass musician. He traveled extensively with his group, The New South Wind.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Stamper is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Jean Woosley Stamper; one daughter, Andrea Stamper; two brothers, Travis and Curtis Stamper; three sisters, Janice Miller, Mary Tipton, and Julia Tipton; and a granddaughter, Casandra McKinney.
    Tommy is survived by two sons, Mardy Stamper and Steven Stamper; two daughters, Renae McKinney (Tommy) and Tamara Flynn and (Windle); eight grandchildren, Thomas, Trevor, Corey, and Noah McKinney; Breanna, Brooklynn and Bethany Flynn; andnd Kaylee Stamper; three great grandchildren, Kennadee, Lorainna, and Jolean McKinney; two brothers, Willard and Michael Stamper; and three sisters, Jeanetta Ross, Connie Smallwood (Danny), and Katie Caudill.

    Jerry was born in Morehead, Kentucky, on June 16, 1994, to Gloria Horn Wills.
    In addition to his mother, Mr. Wills is survived by his wife, Samantha Neace Wills; a daughter, Zoey Arianna Wills; one brother, Allen Wills; and one sister, Monica Wills.

Elaine Rawlins Babb

    Elaine Rawlins Babb, born May 23, 1941, to the late Johnnie and Eva Rawlins in Irvine, Kentucky, departed this temporary life for eternal life in Heaven on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Austin, Texas.
    Elaine spent most of her life in Irvine on White Oak Road, where she shared many happy memories with her five brothers and sisters. Here she met the love of her life, Fred Babb, and raised her two sons, Larry & Gary. According to Elaine, being a mother is the greatest honor any woman can have. She attended the White Oak Church of God and was an active member, singing in the choir and helping out wherever she could. She was well known for her biscuits and gravy, blackberry jam, and fried apple pies. Elaine also enjoyed flower arranging, crafts, cooking, and canning. However, her favorite way to spend time was visiting with friends, family, and neighbors in the front yard.
    Elaine is survived by her son, Larry, his wife Patty, and her granddaughter, Hailee of Austin, Texas; her brother, Roger Dale Rawlins, and sister, Faye Stepp. Elaine leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their extended families, along with other relatives and friends who will miss her and mourn her passing while celebrating her life. Elaine considered many to be part of her family, including the workers at Sodalis Assisted Living in Buda, Texas.
    Visitation were held Friday, November 19, 2021, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 20th at White Oak Church of God with Brother Glendon Woosley officiating. Church visitation was at 11:00 a.m., service will be at 12:00 Noon, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

    Bobby Joe Tate, age 66, of John Rawlins Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at his home.
    He was born December 16, 1954 in Louisville and was the son of the late Henry and Bernice Riddell Tate. He was retired from the United States Army where he served during the Persian Gulf War and was a member of the Baptist Church.
    Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Kay Hogge Tate; and is survived by three sons: Robert Tate (April), Denver, Colorado; Joey Tate, Spring Hill, Florida; and Michael Tate (Candace), Richmond; two sisters: Brenda Lane and Nancy French; four brothers: Charlie Tate, Johnny Tate, Donald “Cookie” Tate, and Butch Tate; and nine grandchildren.
    Graveside services were conducted in Richmond on Friday, November 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Madison Memorial Gardens with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Military rites were provided by the Richmond Honor Guard. Visitation was held Thursday, November 18th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.

Lanny Dale Rogers

    Lanny Dale Rogers, age 75, husband of Linda Shortridge Rogers, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
    He was born August 25, 1946 in Leeco, Kentucky to the late Leonard D. and Chelsea Hall Rogers. He was a longtime member of Stanton First Church of God, where he served on the board of trustees for many years. He also enjoyed being a DJ at WBFC radio. He loved his church and his family.
    Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Shortridge Rogers; two sons: Tony Rogers (Shelly) and Kevin Rogers (Allyson); two daughters: Melissa Rogers and Daphanie Chapman (Dana); two brothers: Charles Rogers (Joyce), Stanton; and James Darrell Rogers (Nancy), Campton; a sister, LaDonna Pelfrey, Stanton; eight grandchildren, Kolby Boyd, Lauren Chapman, Alyssa Rogers, Kalliegh Rogers, Kory Freeman, Ross Chapman, Chandler Rogers, and Dylan Rogers; and two great grandchildren, Jett Freeman and Penelope Boyd.
    Services Thursday, November 18, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Stanton First Church of God. Visitation on Wednesday, November 17th at Davis & Davis Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 p.m. for family and 5:00 p.m. for friends. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery with Kolby Boyd, Kory Freeman, Ross Chapman, Dana Chapman, Paul “Pooge” White, and John Kessel serving as pallbearers.

Domingo Quiahua

    Domingo Quiahua, age 43, of Clearfield, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
    Mr. Quiahua was born on October 18,1978 in Astacinga, Mexico to Julian and Victoria Quiahua.
    In addition to his parents, Domingo is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Branham Quiahua; a daughter, Samantha Neace and fiancé’ Bradley Cash; a son, Justin Neace; two grandchildren, Zoey Wills and Roman Walker; and two brothers, Lidio Quiahua and Elpidio Quiahua.
    Funeral services for Domingo Quiahua will be conducted on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals with Steve Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Moberley-Crawford Cemetery in Ravenna, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
    Pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Bradley Cash, Justin Neace, Pedro Quiahua, Abel Quiahua, and Eleazar Quiahua.
