David Monroe Maggard, Jr., 62

David Monroe Maggard, Jr., of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Compassionate Care Center.
David, the son of David Monroe "Dave" Maggard, Sr. and Helen Skeens Maggard, was born in Hyden, Kentucky on June 14, 1960 and had just turned 62 years of age. He had worked as a self-employed trucker and later as a certified master mechanic for Jack Burford Chevrolet. He enjoyed restoring old cars, fishing, reading, and had a huge sense of humor. He was an active member of the Madison Lodge #183 F. & A.M.
Survivors include his cherished partner of 27 years, Vickie Whittaker; two sons: Paul David Maggard of Lexington and Travis Wayne Maggard (Ashley Kirby) of Franklin, Ohio; two daughters: Amelia Brangers-Miller (Dale) of Georgetown; and Angela Gray of Big Hill; three sisters: Teresa Maggard, Melissa McIntosh (Chris) and Audrey Clowers (Tim); nine grandchildren: Katie Maggard, Bradley Maggard, Kendall Maggard, Emilee Maggard, Matthew Brangers, Olivia Brangers, Sophia Brangers, Hannah Oliver and Ella Gray; two nephews: Mason Clowers and Cody Lewis; one niece, Molly King; his father-in-law, Junior Rogers; his brother-in-law, Mark Rogers; one sister-in-law, Darlene Masters (Joe); and a host of beloved family members and close friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at Salem Christian Church, 2085 Poosey Ridge Road, Richmond, with Bro. Virgil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Friday, at the church.
Masonic Rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. just prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Buck Winkler, Jeff Rose, Chris McIntosh, Jeremy Hardy, Tim Clowers, Brad Maggard and Travis Maggard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Masters, Paul Maggard and Junior Rogers.

Zack Charles, age 40, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home.
He was born December 5, 1981 in Lexington, Kentucky, to Anthony Charles and Teresa Drake Kennon.
Survivors include his father, Anthony Charles (Sherrie); his mother, Teresa Kennon (Shane); siblings, Jessica Miller, Emily Charles, Samantha Charles, James Charles, Kayla Charles, Braden Charles, and Cailey Martin; his grandmother, Rachel Drake; several aunts and uncles; and five nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Danika Leighton Charles; his grandfathers, Clell Charles and Cecil Drake; and his grandmother, Ida Charles.
Services Tuesday, June 21, 2022, 6:00 p.m., at Davis and Davis Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until service time at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ina Lois Jewell Elliott, age 86, of Conrad Estates in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born April 10, 1936, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Johnny Jewell and Ella Jo Richardson Brinegar. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County most of her life.
Mrs. Elliott is survived by her Husband, Charles Lane Elliott; one daughter, Lisa Noble (Donald) of Estill County; three sons: Curt Steven Elliot (Wanda) of Lincoln County; Mark Kevin Elliott, and David Scott Elliott (Jennifer), both of Estill County; one daughter-in-law, Donna Elliott of Estill County; two sisters: Patty Eades and Phyllis Horn both of Estill County; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lyle Jeffery Elliott; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 20, 1:00 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Bertrum officiating. Burial will be at the South Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Aaron Elliott, Trenton Elliott, Eddie Crawley, Chris Bowling, Steven Edward Crawley, Chase Bowling and Wesley Crawley.
Honorary pallbearers are Aria Elliott, Hadleigh Noble, Elliston Elliott, Kallen Noble, Magnolia Elliott, Stephanie Crawley, Crystal Bowling and Bethany Noble.

Linda Gordon, age 74, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born in Berea, January 7, 1948, to Doc and Dorothy McCollum Isaacs. She was a retired caregiver.
Linda is survived by her husband, Melvin Gordon; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Clarence Isaacs and Granville Isaacs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Dorothy Isaacs; a son, Paul White; a daughter, Connie Dennis; and a brother, Larry Isaacs.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Irvine. Friends visited Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial was in the Lunsford Cemetery in Irvine.

Perry “Jimmy” Barnett, 72, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2022 at his residence.
He was born in Winchester, Kentucky, October 22, 1949 to Earl and Sarah Olinger Barnett.
Mr. Barnett is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Barnett; two grandchildren; a brother, Dwight Barnett (Judy); and a sister Anita Easter (Michael).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Sarah Olinger Barnett; a daughter, Sherry Barnett; a brother, Grover Stephen Barnett; and a sister, Lisa Powell.
A graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Kennon Cemetery in Clay City.
Grayson Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Jimmy Lee Draggoo, 59

Jimmy Lee Draggoo, age 59, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at his home in Irvine, Kentucky.
He was born on November 13, 1962, in Irvine, to the late Franklin Roosevelt Draggoo and Yvonne Neal.
In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma June Hensley.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne Draggoo; four children, Jeffery McQueen, Patricia Draggoo, Jennifer Draggoo, and Stacy Draggoo; three grandchildren, Wyatt McQueen, Latham McQueen, and Olivia Townsend; two brothers, Franklin Floyd Draggoo and Charles Holden Draggoo; four sisters, Ethel Ann Lynch (Danny), Nancy Carolyn Ballard, Lucy Marie Walters (Roger Lee), and Minnie Faye Sowers (Robert Wayne); along with many other family and friends to miss and mourn his passing.
Graveside services for Jimmy Lee Draggoo were conducted on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Draggoo Family Cemetery in Irvine, Kentucky, with Brother Roger Lee Walters officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jimmy Lee Draggoo memorial fund.
