Tommie Russell Kendall

    Tommie Russell Kendall, age 69, of Willow Tree Lane in Ravenna, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Baptist Health in Lexington following a long illness.
    He was born February 17, 1953 in Jefferson County, Kentucky and was the son of the late Selbert and Martha Jones Kendall. He was a former member of the National Guard and worked for Central State Hospital. He was a member of the Turning Point Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Clay City.
    Mr. Kendall had lived in Estill County for the last 15 years and is survived by his wife, Judith Gail Collins Kendall; one daughter, Crystal Meece (Eddie) of Estill County; one sister, Patsy Colyer, and one brother, Joe Kendall, both of Shelbyville; and four grandchildren: Gage Hunt, Tyra Hunt, Corey Bishop, and Dalton Bishop.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Hunt Jr., and one brother, David Kendall.
    Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 30, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eugene McIntosh officiating. Burial will be at the Cobb Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers are Corey Bishop, Dalton Bishop, and Eddie Meece.

Ronnie Lynn Henry

    Ronnie Lynn Henry, age 73, of Maupin Hill Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
    He was born May 5, 1949 in Estill County and was the son of Johnnie M. and Clara Cooper Henry. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and a was a retired military contractor. He had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Henry is survived by his daughter, Kim Henry, and his son, Billy Henry, both of Estill County; and one sister, Linda Murphy of Madison County.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Worrell Henry; his parents and his brother, Larry Henry.
    Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 29, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Scott Lee Patrick

    Scott Lee Patrick, age 55, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 after a long illness.
    Scott is survived by his wife, Melissa Jacobs Patrick; children, David Patrick and Kimi Caldwell (Joey), grandchildren, Paige, Addy, Lydia, Ryker and Clementine; and a brother, Timothy Patrick (Kathy); as well as many other family members and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Patrick; a grandson, Weston Caldwell; and a brother, Kevin Patrick.
    Scott was born April 27, 1967 in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Anita Winkle Patrick and Ronald Patrick, both of Hamilton, Ohio. He enjoyed spending time at flea markets and antique shops looking for bargains. He was a skilled glass blower and made beautiful pieces but was known for making marbles. Scott also enjoyed listening to a variety of music styles and playing the guitar.
    Our family is grateful to know that Scott is finally at peace. We would like to especially thank Dr. Robert J. Hopkin, the Fort Hamilton Hospital doctors and nurses and the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care for the exceptional care and compassion they showed Scott in his final days.
    At his request, Scott's body will be donated to The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for the advancement of science. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
    Donations can be made in Scott's name to the National Fabry Disease Foundation.

Elsie Estes Kirby

    Elsie Estes Kirby, age 75, born January 28, 1947, the daughter of the late Masco Estes and Addie Bee Estes, passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, August 22, 2022. She was a retired employee of Carhartt and a lifelong resident of Estill County. She was a member of Thomas Baptist Church.
    Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Charles Kirby; and her daughter, Teresa Gail Kirby-Raglin.
    Elsie is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Kirby, London, Kentucky; two sons, Charles S. Kirby (Mary), Waco, Kentucky; and Anthony W. Kirby (Hope Willis), Irvine; a son-in-law, Darin Raglin, Midway; four grandchildren, Katelynn Kirby, Kendall Kirby, Elizabeth Raglin, and Hannah Raglin; and siblings, Geneva Philbeck, Hamilton, Ohio; Kenneth Estes, and Delbert Estes, both of Irvine.
    She is also survived by her best friend of 50+ years, Teresa Phoenix (Larry); and Cheryl Smith (Steve Masters) whom she loved dearly and always thought of as her baby sister.
    In addition to her parents, husband, and daughter, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eva Mae Miller, Roscoe Estes, Samuel Estes, Obed Estes, Eunice Robertson, Beverly Estes, Reva Hardy, and Michael Estes.
    Elsie will be fondly remembered; especially for her sense of humor, work ethic, cooking and deep love of family and friends.
    Funeral services were held on Friday, August 26, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Brother Mike Creech Creech and Brother Brett Benton officiating. Visitation was held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. She was interred at West Irvine Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Larry Phoenix, Bobby Willis, Kendall Kirby, Darin Raglin, Elizabeth Raglin, Kaytlynn Kirby and Hannah Raglin.

Vicki Lynn Davis

    Vicki Lynn Davis, age 61, of Sandhill Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
    She was born April 10, 1961, in Estill County and was the daughter of James Wesley and Beulah Mae Tipton. She was a homemaker and had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Edward Leon Davis; two sons: Eric Caton Davis and Christopher Tyler Davis, both of Estill County; and four grandchildren: Sya Raylene Layken Davis, Bryce Adams, Zoe Adams and Gavin Trent Profitt.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Teresa Jo Sparks; and two brothers, James Ricky Tipton and Darrell Glenn Tipton.
    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Brandy Gayle Freeman

    Brandy Gayle Freeman, age 43, of New Fox Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at her home.
    She was born March 21, 1979, in Madison County and was the daughter of Ezra Gayle and Michele Garrett Freeman. She worked as a Store Clerk and attended the Bethel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Abby Freeman, and two sons, Noah Freeman and Gabriel Freeman, all of Estill County; a sister, Leslie Benton (Nelson) of Estill County; two nephews, Blake and Ethan Benton; and one niece, Kaelyn Benton.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Olivia Jo Freeman.
    Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, August 23, 2022, 12:00 Noon, at the Rose Freeman Cemetery at Fox.
    Pallbearers were Steve Walters, Nelson Benton, Blake Benton, Ethan Benton, Bud Barnes and Ricky Elliott.

Helen Neal Walling

    Helen Neal Walling, age 83, of Dug Hill Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born June 26, 1939 in Estill County and was the daughter of Till and Ida Rawlins Neal. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Time Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Walling is survived by three daughters: Sandra Arvin (Dwight), Vickey Walling, and Barbara Chaney (Kevin), all of Estill County; two sons: Eddie Jack Walling (Debbie) and Russell Walling (Tammy), both of Estill County; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl B. Walling; her parents; five sisters, Mae Henry, Eva McIntosh, Edna Henry, Dorothy Rader, and Sug Riddell; and four brothers, Travis, Roy, Donald and Glenn Neal.
    Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Chaney officiating. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 21s from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers are Ben Chaney, Jacob Chaney, Tyler Walling, Joe Rawlins, Chad Walling, Josiah Muncie and Allen Tuggle.

    William Michael Kavanaugh, age 91, of Sugarloaf Lane in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at his home following a long illness.
    He was born March 18, 1931, in Fayette County and was the son of the late Charles N. and Elizabeth Chenault Kavanaugh.
    Mr. Kavanaugh is survived by his wife, Ann Siudmak; and two brothers: Nicholas Kavanaugh and Toby Kavanaugh.

Judith "Judy" Stamper

    Judith "Judy" Stamper, age 67, passed away in her home on Monday, August 15, 2022 after battling cancer.
    She was born February 7, 1955, the daughter of the late Roy and Zetta Hall Stamper of Cobb Hill in Irvine, Kentucky.
    Judy was survived in death by four children, Melissa Mays Carlson (Marcus) of Michigan, Leanna Mays (Michael), David Stamper, and Craig Stamper, all of Irvine. She had 19 grandkids, nine great grandkids, two sisters and one brother.
    There will be no services following her wishes. She will be laid to rest at Cobb Hill Cemetery.

Patricia Dianne Izer

    Patricia Dianne Izer, age 65, of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Baptist Health Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
    Patricia was born on March 26, 1957, in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Clayton Kuhn and Ruth Sieber Warren. She was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed gardening, watching T.V., cats and dogs, and working jigsaw puzzles.
    Mrs. Izer is survived by three children, Sarah Veskovic Fox (Roy) of Athol, Massachusetts; Michael Veskovic (Laura) of Richmond; and Steven Veskovic of Rochester, New York; her fiancé, Edison Lee Land; and six grandchildren, Roy Fox III, Nathan Veskovic, John Thomas Warner, Autumn Warner, Kaylen Warner and Abby Veskovic.
    A memorial service for Patricia Dianne Izer will be announced at a later date by the family.
