Kathy Lynn Beach, 61
|
Kathy Lynn Beach, age 61, wife of Dwayne Beach, passed away surrounded by those she loved on Friday, December 15, 2023, at her home in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born in Winchester, Kentucky, on October 2, 1962, to her parents, Jearl and Kathlene McKinney Rogers.
Kathy, through the years, was a constant presence at Cotton’s and Bruen’s Restaurants, where she worked as a cook and waitress. She loved her children and grandchildren; they were the great joy of her life.
She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Keith Rogers; and her sister, Pam Helton.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by three sons, Justin Spencer (Crystal) of Clay City, Frank Spencer (Lyndsey) of Stanton and Josh Spencer (Savannah) of Danville; four brothers, Gregory Rogers of Stanton, Michael Rogers (Carrie) of Jeffersonville, Chris Rogers (Alicia) of Stanton and Jason Rogers (Tammy) of Clay City; two sisters, Beverly Hall (Shane) of Irvine and Angie Lane (Jeff) of Stanton; and five grandchildren, Sawyer Spencer, Presley Spencer, Kamryn Spencer, Everlee Spencer and Reid Spencer.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Funeral services officiated by Brother Anthony Molihan will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery with Justin Spencer, Frank Spencer, Josh Spencer, Michael Coy Helton, Logan Faulkner and Jon Hall serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Gregory Rogers, Michael Rogers, Chris Rogers, Jason Rogers, Beverly Hall, Angie Lane, Sawyer Spencer; former employees of Bruen’s and Cotton’s Restaurant, and members of Hospice East.
Marcia Willoughby, 85

Marcia Willoughby, age 85, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
She was born April 28, 1938 in Winchester, Kentucky, to Clyde and Adalaide Kindred. She was a retired employee of the Sylvania and Square D factories.
Mrs. Willoughby is survived by her husband, Jesse Willoughby; three sons, Tony Willoughby (Wilma), Michael Willoughby (Donna), and Mitchell Willoughby; seven grandchildren; a sister, Jean Crouch; and her beloved little dog Jill.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Adalaide Kindred and two brothers, Ricky and Douglas Kindred.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro. Bill White officiating. Friends may visit Sunday from 12 Noon till time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vaughn’s Mill Cemetery in Clay City.
Bertha F. Peters, 85

Bertha F. Peters, age 85, wife of Willie E. Peters, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born November 2, 1938, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late James Millard McGee and the late Bessie Noland McGee. She was a member of the South Irvine Christian Church. She was a retired employee of Carhartt Manufacturing in Irvine. She enjoyed her family and her Bluegrass Music family. She enjoyed bluegrass music festivals with her husband and friends, of which she had many.
In addition to her husband, Willie E. Peters, she is survived by one son, Earl J. Peters; one daughter, Melinda Gentry (Bobby); three grandchildren, Casey Gentry, Michelle Gentry (George Rogers), and Stacy Peters (Amanda); ten great grandchildren, three very special great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Gilbert, Esmer, Joe, Roy, James, Bruce, and Edgar McGee; and four sisters, Naomi Tribbey, Mayfrey Richmond, Dorothy Lainhart, and Shirley Taylor.
Bertha loved her family, and even while fighting cancer, she always had a smile on her face when she saw any of them. She was proud of the life and family her and Willie had created together.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 16, 2023, 2 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matthew Wampler officiating. Burial was at the Roberts Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Casey Gentry, Stacy Peters, Devin Gentry, Wesley Sutton, Chris Puckett, Nathan Rose, and Kendall Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters.
Robert Melvin McBratney Jr., 68

Robert Melvin McBratney Jr. of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his residence.
He was born October 3, 1955 in Buffalo, New York, to Robert and Pauline McBratney. He was retired from the United States Marines.
Mr. McBratney is survived by his wife, Georgia Barnes McBratney; four sons, Robert McBratney, Rory McBrantney, Rance McBrantney, and Donald Stone; five daughters, Malinda Bayner, Skylar McBratney, Pegan McBrantney, Donna Stone, and Shelleana Stone; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Paul McBratney; and three sisters, Marline Wesolowski, Debbie Thompson and Diana Domanski.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Aimee McBratney and Christy Crowe; and a granddaughter, Kaylan Dunn.
No services are planned at this time.

Harry Walters, age 94, of Old Fox Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness.
He was born January 13, 1929, in Estill County and was the son of the late Charles and Hattie Haze Walters. He was a retired CSX Railroad employee and a member of the Corinth Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
Mr. Walters is survived by one daughter, Lisa Wise (Dale) of Irvine; and one grandchild, Christopher Wise.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theda Wiseman Walters; seven sisters, Martha, Myrtle, Emma, Edith, Elsie, Viola, Emma Jean; and eight brothers, Chester, Freddie, Charlie, Frank, Hank, Larry, Al and John Walters.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 18, 2023, 11 a.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Tipton officiating. Burial was at the Walters Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, December 17th from 6-9 p.m.
Pallbearers were Stevie Tipton, Bryan Thompson, David Estes, Billy Walters, Buck Walters, and Jamie Dunaway.
Bruce Alan Oertli, 65

Bruce Alan Oertli, 65, born August 10, 1958, widower of Michele Oertli, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was a wonderful provider; loving husband and father; and an passionate believer in his favorite saying, "I'm an Oertli. I can do anything."
Mr. Oertli is survived by his sons, Cody Oertli, Seth Turner (Heather), and Lucas Turner; daughters, Jessica Campbell (Robert) and Heather Rose Oertli; brothers, Terry Oertli (Nancy), Randall Oertli (Mary), and Edwin Fritz Oertli Jr (Tyra); sister in law, Wanda Oertli; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Oertli; and a great grandchild, Magnus Merrick.
There are no services planned at this time.

Janet Crawford Dailey, age 78, widow of Henry Dailey Jr., passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Born in Estill County, Kentucky, on July 22, 1945, to the late Edward and Golden Bailey Crawford,, she was a CMA at Rose Manor for over 50 years and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dailey is survived by her son, Pete Dailey (Melissa); grandchildren, Garrett, Aiden, and Noah Dailey; a brother, Alvin Crawford; as well as numerous extended family members.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Damon Crawford, Richard Crawford, Patricia Crawford, and Carolyn Sams.
Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester, by Brother Joe Price. Burial will follow in the Boonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of service at Scobee Funeral Home.
Dickie Lloyd Murphy, 82

Dickie Lloyd Murphy, age 82 of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long battle with Parkinsons disease.
He was born August 25, 1941, in Heidelberg, Lee County, Kentucky, to the late Chester Lee and Julia Estes Murphy.
Dickie graduated from Irvine High School and continued his education at EKU. Dickie was a member of the River Drive Christian Church and retired as a brakeman/conductor from CSX Railroad after 38 years of employment. Dickie was a avid fisherman and enjoyed sports, especially UK teams. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his sister, Edna Grace Murphy of Irvine; special cousins, James Hood and Elizabeth Hughes, Jeannette Ross; Carla, David, Charlie and Tucker Lyons; Donnie and Gale Watts, Linda and Branden McGuire, and Vonda Gregory.
Funeral services For Dickie Lloyd Murphy will be conducted on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the River Drive Christian Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Timothy Canter officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James Hood Hughes, Donnie Watts, Ralph Howell, Donnie Barnes, Roy Embs, and Duff Wolfinbarger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Mays, Herman Conrad, Todd Gould and all of River Drive Church's members.

Diane Patrick Embs, age 87, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, surrounded by family.
She was born in Estill County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther and Corda Roberts Patrick.
Mrs. Embs is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dewey Doyle Embs; a daughter, Norma Jo Rudolph (Bruce) of Louisville; a son, Charles Wayne Embs of Lexington; two granddaughters, Kayla Jo Rudolph and Cassidy Paige Neely (Cody); and one sister, Nancy Roberts of Lexington.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Patrick, Maurice Patrick, and W.G. Patrick.
Burial will be private at Camp Nelson.

Leanna Charlene Rogers, 71, wife of James Rogers, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born Friday, July 25, 1952 at Cobb Hill, Estill County, Kentucky, to the late Roy and Zetta Hall Stamper. She and James were married on June 7, 1969 and went on to have three sons. Mrs. Rogers worked as a seamstress for Powell Manufacturing before her retirement, as well as a devoted homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James Rogers; three sons Keith Rogers (Jackie), Darrell Rogers (Pam), and Dwayne Rogers (Dena); grandsons, Todd Rogers, Jared Rogers, Noah Rogers, and Josh Murphy; granddaughters, Courtney Rogers, Emily Murphy, and Katie Roberts; great grandchildren, Brayden Rogers, Kynlee Rogers, Marren Rogers, Bella Willoughby, Hudson Roberts, and Tripp Murphy; a brother, Ellis Stamper; a sister Delores McCullough (Delmont); and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Zetta Stamper; a grandson, Michael Dwayne Rogers, Jr; three brothers, Ray Stamper, Dewey Stamper, and Roy Stamper, Jr.; and a sister, Judy Stamper.
Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Jim Hall and Bro. Roy Jackson at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Wells Funeral Home,777 West College Avenue in Stanton. Visitation will be held Friday, December 15th beginning at 4 p.m. for family and 5 p.m. for friends. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Rogers Chapel Cemetery on High Rock Road.
Active pallbearers include Darrell Rogers, Courtney Rogers, Keith Rogers, Todd Rogers, Dwayne Rogers, Noah Rogers, and Jared Rogers.

Gerald Alvin "Jerry" McKenzie, 73

Gerald Alvin "Jerry" McKenzie, age 73, husband of Robin Kirkpatrick McKenzie, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Richmond, Kentucky.
He was born August 17, 1950 in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Ora Jr. and Beverly Joy Christianson McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie attended the University of Kentucky on an athletic scholarship and went on to a career as a corporate executive in the field of healthcare technology. Throughout his career, he specialized in many aspects of that business, including sales/marketing, leadership/team building, recruiting/training, acquisition/mergers, strategic planning, executive management, cost containment, corporate legal issues, and software development. He served with several firms throughout his tenure in high level positions in which he was a gifted leader and top salesman. He rose to the level of President & CEO of Del Crane Medical Corporation, Accu-Med Service, Inc., and Asset Management Technologies, LLC. He was Co-Owner/General Manager at Pinnacle Business Group LTD as well as Owner & President/CEO of Apex/Apogee Billing and Consulting, LLC, during which time he also served as interim CEO of Woodford Memorial Hospital. He finished his career as Vice-President of Business Development with CAH & Community Hospitals.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Kirkpatrick McKenzie; a brother, Randy McKenzie (Gwynn); a sister-in-law, Barb McKenzie; two nieces, Catie Poff (David) and Margy McKenzie; several other nieces & nephews; two great nephews, Harris Poff and Wyatt Scarbery; and his special pup, Kaba.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeffrey Scott McKenzie.
Services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, 5 p.m., at Wells Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation will be held Saturday 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willard Horn Jr., age 70 of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at his residence.
He was born July 14, 1953 in Irvine to Willard Sr. and Wynemia Horn.
Mr. Horn is survived by his wife, Carol Horn; a son, Stan Horn; two daughters, Gerica Horn and Melissa Holbrook; and a sister, Vivian Covey,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Sr. and Wynemia Horn; a daughter, Denisha Horn; and a sister, Sue Rawlins.
A graveside service was held at the Horn Cemetery, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Sherry McIntosh, age 65, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital.
She was born February 8, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dewy and Doris Watkins. She was a housewife.
Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her husband, Armster McIntosh; a son, Steven McIntosh; a daughter, Laura Maness; two grandchildren Camron and Travis Cox; and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lisa Cox.

Floyd Moreland, Jr., age 75, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a long illness.
He was born May 12, 1948, in Estill County and was the son of the late Floyd and Martha Puckett Moreland. He was a retired CSX employee and a member of the Sandhill Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
Mr. Moreland is survived by his wife, Mildred Ann Arvin Moreland; one son, Algin Moreland (Brooklyn) of Estill County; one sister, Ileen Wolfinbarger of Estill County; and two grandchildren, Reed Algin Floyd Douglas Moreland and Addyson Ann Moreland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd Douglas Moreland and Jason Howard Moreland; five sisters, Mary Puckett, Jo Flynn, Della Rea Moreland, Susie Tuggle, and Ollie McIntosh; and two brothers, Fred Moreland and John Moreland.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2023, 11 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Estes and Bro. Aaron Gabbard officiating. Burial will be at the Winkler Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13th from 6-9 p.m.

Donna Hoskins Carpenter, age 63, of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Butler County, Ohio, on July 12, 1960, the daughter of the late Harlan and Anna Frances Long Hoskins. She was a professional housekeeper and was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Donna attended Crystal Holiness church in Irvine.
Survivors include her husband, Johney Carpenter; two sons, Daniel “DC” Gibson and Christopher “Chris” Gibson; two grandchildren who she raised as her own, Chase Gibson and Kelsie Gibson; as well as a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Gibson; one great grandchild; and her brothers, Gary Hoskins (Karla Ross), Harlan E. Hoskins (Patricia), David Hoskins and Roy Hoskins; as well as many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Camper and Laura Ann Biggs; and her brothers, Darrell Hoskins and James Hoskins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond, with Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro. Ronnie Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Elbert John “Nubby” Jones, age 77, of Broadway in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, following a short illness.
He was born February 7, 1946, in Letcher County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Elbert Jones and Evelyn Hillyer Richardson. He retired from Ajax Magnethermic where he worked as a production supervisor. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Elbert was a member of the First Baptist Church and he had lived in Estill County for most of his life.
Mr. Jones is survived by one daughter, Melia Jones of Estill County; one son, Jeremiah Jones of California; one sister, Debbie Riddell of Estill County; and four grandchildren, Brianna Hall, Addison Jones, Tanner Jones, and Colton Jones.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 11 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill VanWinkle officiating. Burial was at the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 12th from 6-9 p.m.

Teresa Lynn Bowen, 61

Teresa Lynn Bowen, age 61, wife of Steve Faw, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at her home in Stanton, Kentucky.
She was born April 13, 1962, in Winchester, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Edward Pelfrey and the late Beulah Lowe Pelfrey. Teresa attended Grace Fellowship Church and was a 1980 graduate of Powell County High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Powell County Board of Education and was a regular fixture at the high school athletic events, where she collected tickets at the front door.
Teresa was also a former member of the Stanton Women’s Club, and her positive attitude made her loved by everyone who knew her. She loved her family and friends, playing bingo, and animals; especially her dogs. Teresa loved spending time with her granddaughter and watching her in the marching band events.
In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Carolyn Clark; and brother-in-law, Phillip Clark, Sr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Warren Meadows (Wendy) of Lexington, Travis Meadows (Jacqueline) and Nelson Craig Bowen, both of Stanton; two brothers, Howard Pelfrey (Betty) and Jerry Pelfrey, both of Stanton; one granddaughter, Cambria R. Bowen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Brother Williard Estep and Sister Dana Estep, and eulogy given by her son, Warren Meadows, Jr., will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Burial will be held at Stanton Cemetery with Warren Meadows, Travis Meadows, Craig Bowen, James Clark, Jerry Pelfrey, Josh Pelfrey and Steve Faw serving as active pallbearers.

James T. Brackett, age 80, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home in Morrow, Ohio.
James was born on January 23, 2023, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late John William and Mildred Estes Brackett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John William "Bill" Brackett Jr.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a retired engineer for CSX Railroad, a member of the American Legion, and a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his two daughters, Selena Rae Bowling (Richard) and Earla Dawn Brackett Combs, both of Morrow, Ohio; two grandsons, James Richard and Justin Ray Bowling; along with a granddaughter, Marlee Combs; as well as numerous other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
A Celebration of Life for James T. Brackett will held Sunday, December 17, 2023, 2-4 p.m. at the Estill County Golf Club, 1602 Kirkland Avenue in Ravenna.

Gregory Lee Brewer, 60

Gregory Lee Brewer, age 60, of Stanton, Kentucky, husband of Charlene Hatton Brewer, passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.
Greg was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, on March 3, 1963, to Pearl Brewer and Clare Ann Trent Brewer. He worked as a logistics management analyst with Lockheed Martin. He loved God, and that love flowed over to a great love for his family. He lived each day for his grandchildren, who held his heartstrings.
Greg was a member of Clay City Church of Christ and served as a Deacon and Treasurer. He was a sports enthusiast and followed many different teams.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Cory Lee Brewer (Haley) of Lexington; one daughter, Sabrina Campbell (John) of Taylorsville; two brothers, Jeffrey Wayne Brewer (Shannon) and Steve Edward Brewer, both of Clay City; two sisters, Carla Watson and Elizabeth Brewer, both of Clay City; and six grandchildren, Erin Campbell, Allie Campbell, Jacie Brewer, Kamryn Brewer, Wiley Brewer and Alvie Brewer.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton. Funeral services officiated by Brother Daniel Newell will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery in Stanton, with Rob Little, Frank Taylor, Carlisle Creech, Duwain Watson, Ricky Creed, Charles Rice, Jody McCoy, and Kenny Stepp serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Clay City Church of Christ and Jonathan Adams.

Janice G. Scott, age 82, widow of Kenneth Scott, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born June 7, 1941 in Clay City, Kentucky, to the late Leonard McClure and the late Ruth Patton Faulkner.
Survivors include, three sons, Kenneth Scott Jr. (Hope), Michael Scott, and Gregory Scott; four brothers, Thomas Faulkner, Johnny Faulkner, Sammy Faulkner, and Ricky Faulkner; three sisters, JoAnn Elkins, Kathleen McClure, and Susan Rogers; grandchildren, Rex Lucas Scott, Elizabeth Gracie Frazier, Allison Taylor Scott, Joshua Michael Scott, Jacob Austin Scott, and Emily Ruth Scott; and great grandchildren, Leland, Willow, Blair, and Macie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Harold Edward Faulkner; sisters, Rita Jo McClure, Vicky Lynn Faulkner, and Mary Elizabeth Lumpkins; and a step-sister, Louise Lainhart.
Services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, 11 a.m., at Wells Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton, by Rev. Harold Kelly and Rev. Sammy Faulkner. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Clemmons Cemetery with Thomas Faulkner, Johnny Faulkner, Sammy Faulkner, Ricky Faulkner, Rex Scott, Josh Scott, and Jacob Scott serving as pallbearers.

Verlon June Edwards Ousley, age 80, of Old Boonesboro Road in Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at her home following a long illness. She was born June 13, 1943, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Hazel Riddell Dixon. She retired from J.C. Pennys where she worked as a clerk. She had lived in Estill County for most of her life.
Mrs. Ousley is survived by her husband, Dennis L. Ousley; two sisters, Wilma Young of Estill County and Jerrie Center Ousley of Madison County; one brother, Arthur Dixon of Lancaster; and many special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Arnold C. Edwards; one sister, Kathy Dixon Worley, and one brother, Darrell Dixon.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, December 7, 2023, 1 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Edwards officiating. Burial was at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were Nick Edmonson, Brant Kerr, William Dixon, Zach Ousley, Jeff Hicks, and Greg Williams.
William Jessie Rogers, 91

William Jessie Rogers, age 91, a 54-year resident of Hazel Park, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He was born on March 27, 1932 in Irvine, Kentucky to Charles and Bertha Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was the beloved husband of Geneva Rogers for 58 years, and dear father of Tina Chaney (Jody), Jeff Rogers and Charlie Rogers. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Vanessa (Brannon), Brandon (Sara), Jessica (Justin), Josie, Emily and Raiden (Rosalee); and great grandfather of nine.
He is predeceased by his son, William Daryl; five brothers and seven sisters.
William worked and retired from General Motors. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and belonged to Scottish Rites.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 9, 2023, 11 a.m.,, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Yokel officiating. Burial will be at the Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 PM.
