Charles Edward “Chuck” Roberts

    Charles Edward “Chuck” Roberts, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Irvine, Kentucky on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
    Charles was born on January 11, 1943, in Berea, Kentucky to the late Charles Scott and Lydia Johnson Roberts.
    After residing in Berea and Franklin, Ohio, Charles moved to Deland, Florida in the early 70’s. He owned and operated Amoco Service Stations, a towing business, and restored classic cars. He retired to Irvine, Kentucky in 1996 and owned and operated a hardware and feed store before returning to his passion of restoring classic cars.
    Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Roberts; a daughter, Tonya Rae Case; two brothers, William Harrison Roberts and Harold Clifford Roberts; and four sisters, Jossie Marie Elam, Margrett Sue Delph, Sandra Doris Shorewood and Porta Rowland.
    Charles is survived by his loving wife Diane Monteleone Roberts, of Irvine; two sons, Frank Roberts, Deland, Florida and Ryan Roberts (Billie) of Irvine; two brothers, Danny Ray Roberts and Randal Scott Roberts (Virginia), both of Franklin, Ohio; one sister, Joyce Ann Raby (Lewis), of Franklin, Ohio; two grandsons, Rhett Roberts and Lane Roberts; four granddaughters, Hayley Riley (Ken), Amanda Menegay (Jon), Cheyenne Roberts and Holley Roberts; three great grandchildren, Hunter Menegay, Jordyn Menegay, and Rae Lynn Menegay.
    Memorial services for Charles “Chuck” Edward Roberts will be held at the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 3 p.m. The family will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

    Retired Air Force Master Sergeant Brutus Clay Mansfield, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky. He was born on May 10, 1934 to the late Jay Mansfield and Martha Lou Patrick Mansfield in Sandhill, Kentucky.
    The husband of Rose Gandolfo Mansfield, Brutus was retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot. He was a Mason, an Oleika Shriner and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.
    Brutus is survived by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Debra Mansfield Moore (David); a son, Thomas Jay Mansfield (Amy); and three grandchildren, Mattie Moore, Mollie Moore and William Mansfield; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    In addition to his parents, Jay and Martha Lou, Brutus was preceded in death by his siblings, Narce Mansfield, Lester Mansfield, Roy Mansfield, Mary Francis ‘Jo’ Talbott, Mattie Grace Lee, Jay ‘Ted’ Mansfield Jr. and Gracie B. Mansfield Fritz; along with several cousins.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 608 West Main Street, Richmond, with Fr. Thomas Farrell officiating. Visitation will be from 9a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Mary Young

    Mary Young, age 82, of Irvine, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at her home.
    Mary was born on April 21, 1942, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Marcus Ashcraft and Jesse Begley Ashcraft. Mary was a member of Spout Springs Church in Irvine.
    Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her spouse, Troy Young, two children, Fred Young and Patricia Rose; and three brothers, Charlie Ashcraft, Harlan Ashcraft and Russell Ashcraft.
    Survivors include four children, Melissa Jones (Tim), Sharon Miller, Troy Young Jr., and Dale Young (Amy); two sisters, Ulla Perry (Dale), and Viola Hall (Dallas); four brothers, Nelson Ashcraft (Debbie), Luther Ashcraft (Betty), Marcus Jr. Ashcraft and Herman Ashcraft; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services for Mary Young will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals at 2 p.m. with Brother Jerry Rose officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at West Irvine.
    The pallbearers will be Dakota Young, Evan Jones, Dalton Rose, Troy Young Jr., Dale Young, and Jake Hoskins.

    Nancy P. Ingram, age 90, of Elliston Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a short illness.
    She was born February 17, 1934, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Elijah Duff Strong and Mattie Dale Strong. She was a Hairdresser and Homemaker and attended the Restoration Community Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Buck Ingram, and she is survived by two daughters, Janet Kay Ingram of Madison County and Sandra Elizabeth Ingram Bonny (Jimmy) of Estill County; two grandchildren, Matthew Bonny (Julia) and Caleb Bonny (Madison); and one great grandchild, Eleanor Denee Bonny.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Lee Strong and Merill Strong.
    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 1 p.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Bro. Caleb Bonny, Bro. Matthew Bonny, and Bro. Jimmy Bonny officiating. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.

    Ladonna Susie West Ballard, age 84, a resident of Dominion Senior Living, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her home, following a short illness.
    She was born August 31, 1940, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Tracy West and Nettie Powell West. She retired from Tracy West Oil and was a former West Irvine Postmaster. She was a Charter Member of the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene, and she had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Susie is survived by two sons: Gary Ballard (Jamie) of Estill County and Randy Ballard of Madison County; two grandchildren, Shawn Ballard (Samantha) and Jon Tracy Ballard (Sara); and three great grandchildren, Coco, Chandler, and Boston.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Miller and Tula Prewitt.
    The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Dominion Senior Living, Marcum and Wallace Hospital, and Hospice for providing care and comfort in the transition of life to Heaven. Also, her special cousin, Pattie Ann Richerson.
    A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2025.

Shirley Ann Wilson Rowland

    Shirley Ann Wilson Rowland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt left this life to enter her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 77.
    She was born on October 27, 1947, to Lewis and Rachel Wilson. Anyone who knew Shirley loved her because of her infectious smile, sweet, funny and spunky personality. She was always singing funny little songs or telling funny stories.
    Shirley, being a single parent, became both a mother and father to her two daughters, Lela and Pam. She taught them how to change tires, change oil in their cars, and use virtually any kind of motorized equipment. There wasn t much that Shirley couldn t do. She worked as a waitress at the Halfway House in Peytona, a seamstress for Fruit of the Loom in Frankfort, and retired from factory work at Black and Decker in Shelbyville. Shirley also worked many evenings and weekends helping others in tobacco and other farm work. She was a hard worker and showed love and kindness to all. Always putting others first. She instilled these same values in her daughters.
    In 1999, Shirley married her soul mate, Verlon Rowland. They settled in Estill County where they spent their retirement enjoying time with family and friends and on their boat fishing the Kentucky River.
    Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by siblings Geraldine Nilles, R.L. Wilson, Sonny Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Bessie Hudson, and Gladys Downey; and her sister by marriage, Sue Wilson.
    She is survived by loving husband of 25 years, Verlon Rowland; daughters; Lela Hatter (Brent) and Pam Thompson (Bryan); a brother J.W. Wilson; grandchildren, Brandy Hatter, Christy Jones (Donnie); Jacob, Brady, and Zach Thompson; great grandchildren, Parker and Tyler Jones, and Tristan Carlile; as well as special nieces and nephews who were just like her own children.
    To honor Shirley s wishes, cremation was chosen with no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
    On behalf of our family, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mercy Health Marcum and Wallace Hospital for the excellent care given to Shirley. We appreciate the kindness and empathy that you have shown us.

Marilyn Warren Warner

    Marilyn Warren Warner went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1954, in Hamilton, Ohio to Daisie Lee Farthing Sparks and Johnny Briscoe Warren.
    She was a nurse for 38 years and loved her co-workers and her patients. She always wore her heart on her sleeve and had a special knack for making those around her, who are hurting, feel better. She loved her family and was a cherished Mother, Nanny, and GG. She was baptized at River Drive Christian Church at the age of 12.
    Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Richard Thomas Sparks; her sister, Johnetta Warren; her beloved son, Harold Wayne "Bub" Warner Jr.; and precious grandson, Jonathan Alejandro Warner.
    She is survived by, and greatly missed by, her two daughters, Mary Lee Warner Carrizales of Irvine and Rebecca Kay Warner of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Monica Renee Hall, Brandi Danielle Puckett (Adam), Heather Leanne Holbrook (Lane), Bethany Dominique Warner, Valerie Warner, Elizabeth Shay Warner, and Abigayle Lou Warner; great grandchildren, Alyson Brooke, Maia Aurora, Gracelynn Paige, Raeleigh Jo, Bailee Rose, Michael, Jed, and Nevaeh; and two siblings, her sister, Kathy Sue Warren Bowman of Lebanon, Ohio; and her brother, Johnny Dean Warren of Hamilton, Ohio; and many cousins and nieces.

    Margie Lee Case, 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
    Born in Estill County, Kentucky, on May 8, 1944, to the late Garnie Morton Case and Katy Ella Bailey Case. She was a homemaker and a member of Ruckerville Church of Christ.
    Survivors include four siblings, Thelma Farmer (William), Calvin Case (Emma), Roger Case (Vickie) and Mavis Hollon; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, David Case, Charlene Miller, Omi Estes, and Linville Case.
    Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at Clarmont Memorial Gardens in Winchester.

    Earl Wayne Bishop Sr., age 78, of Wisemantown Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center, following a long illness.
    He was born July 18, 1946, in Estill County and was the son of the late Charlie Bishop and Rena Camden Bishop. He worked in Drywall and Construction, and he was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Red Lick. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Bishop is survived by his ex-wife, Carolyn Sue Bishop of Estill County; two sons, Russell Ray Bishop of Estill County and Tony Lee Bishop of Estill County; two grandchildren, Micah Donovan Bishop (Karleigh) and Courtney Sue King (John); two great grandchildren, Connor Riley Bishop and Lucian Zachary King.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Penelope Faith Bishop; one son, Earl Wayne Bishop Jr.; four sisters, Evelyn, Amy, Frances, and Joanne; and four brothers, James Buck , Dennis, Russell, and Roland Paul Bishop.

Linda Farmer Moore Noble

    Linda Farmer Moore Noble, age 79, the daughter of the late Willard and Martha Juanita Burke Farmer, was born in Delvinta, Kentucky on February 20, 1945, and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She was raised on Farmer s Ridge in Lee County.
    Linda worked 25 years for and retired from the KY Cabinet for Human Resources, Department for Community Based Services where she was an administrative assistant. Following retirement, she babysat over 50 children during the 20+ years of retirement. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, canning, reading and making hand-made quilts. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Irvine, Kentucky.
    Mrs. Noble is survived by her son, Keith A. Moore of Lexington, Kentucky; three granddaughters, Stephanie Blevins and fianc Jacob Leonard of Morrison, Tennessee; Sabrina Moore of Richmond, and Shauna Moore of Irvine; her great grandson, Maverick Leonard; her sister, Kaye Farmer Addison (Delbert) of Beattyville; her sister in-law, JoAnn Farmer of Cambridge City, Indiana; her beloved former daughter-in-law, Beulah Moore Arnott; her beloved fur baby (cat), Buffy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Alan Farmer.
    Visitation was held Friday, November 1, 2024, 12 Noon until 2 p.m., at Newnam Funeral Home Chapel, 108 Center Street in Beattyville, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m.
    Burial was in the Burke Cemetery, Bush Road in Beattyville.

    Norma Raye Flanery, age 79, of Winchester, Kentucky, formerly of Irvine, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Compassionate Care Hospice Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
    She was born on October 31, 1944, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late William Columbus and Susan Horn Flanery. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Lindburg and James Flanery, and five sisters, Martha Ellen Frisbee, Betty M. Flanery, Jewell D. Aldridge, Gloria Newman, and Leslie Carol Lee.
    Norma is survived by her son, Ronald Flanery (Miranda); four grandchildren, Joshua (Conley), Tybee, Anderson, and Casandra Flanery; and one great grandchild, Oakley Flanery, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
    Funeral services for Norma Raye Flanery will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brothers Danny Frisbee and Larry Frisbee will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Peters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

    She was born April 13, 1952, in Madison County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Roy Lowell and Stella Rose Rader Mansfield. She was former employee of the South-East Coal Company and was a member of the Irvine Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Peggy is survived by her companion, Elizabeth Fae Cox of Estill County; two sisters, Carol Park (Charlie) of Estill County and Drucilla Crouch (Larry) of Hopkins County; and one brother, Jay Mansfield (Rebecca) of Estill County.
    A private service will be conducted with burial at the Oakdale Cemetery.

    Mary Patricia Tipton Watson, age 81, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 after arrival at Baptist Health- Richmond, Kentucky. She was the wife of Howard Watson.
    Mary was born on November 5, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of Berry and Gina Faella Tipton, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a retired office manager/bookkeeper for Sembol Systems.
    In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Sheila Powell of Richmond; one grandchild, Robert Steven Powell (Bernice McCoy) of Richmond; three brothers, Buddy Tipton (Trina) of Winchester, Harold Tipton (Berta) of London, and James Anthony Tipton (Diane) of Winchester; three sisters, Linda Means and Nina Marie Stamper, both of Irvine; and Norma Jean Nixon of Winchester; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanna Frost, Nell Pearson, and Diane Edwards; and one brother, Michael Berry Tipton.

    Lenville Hall, age 88, of Brookstown Road in Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, following a long illness.
    He was born February 22, 1936, in Estill County, and was the son of the late Robert Hall and Dee Crawford Townsend. He was a Retired Farmer and a member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church and the Madison County Coon Hunting Club. He lived in Madison County for most of his life.
    Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Moore Hall, and he is survived by three daughters, Linda Brumagen, Debbie Hall, and Janet Lynn Johnson (Garry), all of Madison County; two sons, Timothy Hall (Carolyn) of Madison County and John Hall (Theresa) of Texas; one sister, Magalene Townsend Tipton of Madison County; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Bud Hall and Michael Hall; three sisters, Lillian Hall, Ida Cole Hall, and Janet Townsend Tipton; and one brother, Glenn Hall.

    Betty G. Walters Harris, age 86, of Barnes Mountain Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home following a short illness.
    She was born January 6, 1938, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Steve Walters and Vera Mae Dennis Walters. She retired from Sylvania and was a member of the Bethel Christian Church. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Charles Harris; and she is survived by one daughter, Sheila Harris Collins (Ricky) of Estill County; one sister, Ruth Woods (Ed) of Clark County; two brothers, Robert Walters (Jenny) and Stevie J. Walters, both of Estill County; one grandchild, Kaylee Collins (Christopher); and one great grandchild, Riley Kate Collins.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.T. Walters.

    Roy Smith was born November 23, 1946 in Clay County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday October 17, 2024 being 77 years of age. He is the son of the late Raymond and Grace Smith.
    He is survived by his siblings, Lester Smith of Annville, Christine Williams (Tommy) of London and Mary McKinney (Luther) of Irvine.
    In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by the following siblings, Mark, Johnny, Paul, Russell, Jimmy and June Smith, Mossie McKinney and Joyce Pierson.
    Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Smith will be held on Monday October 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Keith Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee.

    Jane Elizabeth Whipple, age 72, of Reges Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home following a long illness.
    She was born June 26, 1952, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Angelina Eva Louisa West. She was a nurse s aide with the Winchester Health and Rehabilitation Center and had lived in Estill County for the last five years.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Whipple.
    She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lynn Brandenburg (Jeremy) of Estill County; two sons, Andrew Anthony Eamiello, III of Estill County and Charles William Eamiello (Teresa) of Indiana; two sisters, Charlene Jones of Connecticut and Kathlene Alfredo of Clark County; and six grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Grace Ester Perdew and Peter William West.
    A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.

    Patricia Meacacke 59 of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    She was born September 16, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio to George and Geraldine Ross. She was a homemaker.
    Patricia is survived by her partner, Jeff Gross; her mother Geraldine Ross; two daughters, Heather Ross and Candice Donahue; a son, Christopher Renna; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Jeffery Stutz; and a sister, Melissa Stutz.
    She was preceded in death by her father, George Ross.
    No services are planned at this time.

Randy G. Estes

    Randy G. Estes, age 79, of Laura, Ohio, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Estill County, Kentucky.
    Randy was born on February 2, 1945, in Leighton, Kentucky to the late Travis Estes and Ta-Litha Proffit Estes.
    Mr. Estes was a Millwright by trade, having worked for G.M. for 30 years. He was a member of several unions. Randy was a brilliant man with an inventive mind. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends.
    In addition to his parents. Mr. Estes is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Lee and Bruce Allen Estes; and one sister, Gladys Gregg.
    Survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Dawn Grimes; three sisters, S. Kay Wells, Vida Anna Maxwell (Don), and Charlotte Dube (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to miss him and mourn his passing.
    A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.

    Stacey Todd Salleng, 49, husband of Tanya Barnett Salleng, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at Saint Joseph Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
    He was born March 10, 1975 in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Charles Lewis Salleng and Betty Ann Salleng.
    Stacey loved his family fiercly and always enjoyed being in church. A true mountain man, being outside and in nature was his favorite place to be, whether it being sitting on his porch or fishing. You could always count on Guns N' Roses playing in his favorite Bronco. Stacey's classic style was his shorts, tank top, and his flip flops. He was an avid Goodwill shopper, always up for a great deal.
    Survivors include his wife, Tanya Salleng; his mother, Betty Salleng; three sons, Austin Salleng, Harley Salleng, and Mylan Salsman; five step-daughters, Bethany Tracy, Kortney Tracy, Katelyn Tracy, Megan Tracy, and Tabitha Tracy; one daughter, Sarah Salleng; three brothers, Eddie Salleng, Dean Salleng, and Andy Salleng; and one sister, Michelle Elkins.
    Services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024, 2 p.m., by Bro. Donald Wayne Hale at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton. Visitation will be held Sunday and Monday, 5-8 p.m., at Living Water Church Clay City, 7283 Winchester Road.

    He was born August 4, 1961 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Andrew and Edna Martin Taulbee.
    Survivors include his wife, Penny Taulbee; three sons, Perry Taulbee, Brandon Shumate, and Cody Benningfield; and a sister, Sue Weaver.

    He was born October 12, 1980 in Lexington, Kentucky. Survivors include his foster family members, Rhonda Spears, Ray Spears, Ray Spears II, Hunter Spears, Benjamin Spears, Phoenix Ward, Nana Nuro, Ryan Jones, Blaine Day, Louise Adams, John Ross, Ryder Mattingly, and many special friends.
    Services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024, 1 p.m., at Wells Funeral Home, Stantion. Visitation Sunday after 11 a.m.
    Burial is in Stonegate Cemetery with Ray Spears II, Ryan Jones, Nick Taylor, Jason Morehead, and Hunter Spears serving as pallbearers.

    Gerald Dean Combs of Stanton, Kentucky, beloved husband of Vicky Townsend Combs, departed this life Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 14 days. He was a son of the late James Robert Combs and Alma Patrick Combs born in Greeley, Lee County, Kentucky, on May 22, 1945.
    He was retired from the oil field industry and was a heavy equipment operator.
    Mr. Combs is survived by his wife, Vicky Townsend Combs of Stanton; two sons, Adam Chambers of Leeco, and Geff Combs (Melissa) of Stanton; two daughters, Tonya Chambers Martin (Jason) of Middlesboro, and Leesa Watkins (Lawrence) of Clay City; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; one brother, James Harold Combs (Beverly) of Stanton; and one sister, Daisy McIntosh of Leeco.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Combs and Alma Patrick Combs; one brother, Jonathan Scott Combs; and two sisters, Virginia Spencer and Vivian Combs. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
    Visitation will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024, beginning at 6 p.m. at Porter & Son Funeral Directors, 769 East Main Street, Campton. Services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Porter & Son chapel with Bro. James Harold Combs officiating. Burial will be in the West Bend Cemetery, Clay City.
    Serving as pallbearers are Adam Chambers, Geff Combs, Jack Townsend, Geff Combs, Jr., Donald Brandenburg, Charles Brooks, Anthony Bellamy and Josh Watkins.

Alexander Shane "Alex" Shuler

    Alexander Shane "Alex" Shuler of Morehead, Kentucky, departed this life Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 29 years, 10 months and 6 days.
    He was a son of Ricky Shuler and Mellanie Jones Cornett born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, on December 27, 1994. He was a former employee at the Mt. Haven emergency youth shelter in Morehead, and he was a singer, and songwriter. He attended the Cathedral of Glory Church in Mt. Sterling.
    Mr. Shuler is survived by one son, Jaxson Shane Shuler of Morehead; his father, Ricky Shuler (Rebecca) of Clay City; his mother, Mellanie Jones Cornett (Joseph) of Morehead; one brother, Jordan F. Shuler (Kayla) of Clay City; three sisters, Sarah Cornett Reed (Devin) of Winchester, Makayla Fowler and Kayla Marie Ruiz, both of Clay City; his maternal grandparents, Dorrita Mullins and John Graston of Clay City; his maternal great grandmother, Nancy Jones of Clay City; and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
    Visitation was held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, beginning at 6 p.m. at Harvest Time Assembly Church, Stanton. Services were held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Church with Bro. Clifford Ross officiating. Burial was in the Shuler family cemetery, Clay City.
    Serving as pallbearers were Justin Johnson, A.J. Jones, Josh King, Mason Jordan, Billy Bowman and David Hubbard.

    Jearldine Knox Esteppe, age 83, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation, Owingsville, Kentucky.
    She was born June 26, 1941 in Bowen, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Ila Birch Knox. She was a sewing factory worker.
    Survivors include one son, Richard Knox; two sisters, Davonna Davis (Rick) and Phyllis Everman (Ronnie); one grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
    Jeraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ila Knox; and three sisters, Ruby Powell, Irene Vice, and Jean Kincaid.
    Services were held Friday, October 18, 2024, 1 p.m., by Bro. Brad Epperson. Visitation was held on Friday from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. Burial was in Crabtree Cemetery with Chad Bush, Brennen Bush, Rick Davis, Steve Everman, Ronnie Everman, and John Powell.

    Ronnie Spencer, age 71, of Stanton, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
    He was born in Campton, Kentucky, November 11, 1952, to Claude and Mary Spencer.
    Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Eva Spencer; two sons, Robert Spencer and William Spencer; and three sisters, Minnie R. Knox, Charlotte Rogers and Emma Barnes.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City. Friends visited Sunday from 12 Noon till time of the service. Burial was in the Wireman Cemetery in Stanton.

    Darlene A. Snowden Shoemaker, age 71, wife of Thomas Shoemaker, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
    She was born December 11, 1952 in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Modina Snowden.
    Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Thomas Shoemaker; three children, Crystal McClure, Kathy Shoemaker, and Dallas Shoemaker (Annette); grandchildren, Brittany Muncie, Destani Shoemaker Watkins (Christian), Megan Haynes, Dustin Shoemaker, Kendra Knox (Jesse), Bentley and Aubrey Webb, and Raegan and Kaydence Webb; great grandchildren, Taylor Muncie, Brayden Muncie, Ivory Knox, Madison Frazier, Adaira Wallen, and Jaylin Wallen; sisters, Robin Baker (Randy), Betty Harrison (Steven), Gail Sizemore (James), Jackie Tyra (Ricky), Janet Ringle (Tom), Judy Rogers, Carrie Lou Brewer (Garland), and Jennifer Tingle (Dave); and sisters-in-law, Linda Snowden and Glenda Snowden.
    Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Modina Snowden; brothers, Tracy Snowden and Melvin Snowden; two sons, Thomas Shoemaker Jr. and Brandon Kyle Shoemaker; and a granddaughter, Amber Leigh Ledford.
    Services were held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, 1 p.m., by Bro. Eric Patrick at the Wells Funeral Home in Stanton. Visitation was held Tuesday, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
    Burial was in Stonegate Cemetery with Christian Watkins, Jesse Knox, Dustin Shoemaker, and Rodney Webb serving as pallbearers.

Kimberly Mae O Hair

    Kimberly Mae O Hair, widow of Linville O'Hair Jr., was born on August 14, 1976, in Madison County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in London, Kentucky, being 48 years of age. She is the daughter of the late Dillis and Evelyn Skinner Isaacs.
    Kimberly is survived by her daughters, Emily Amanda Capps (Alex) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Kayland Noblitt (Justin) of Elk City, Oklahoma. Kimberly was blessed with four grandchildren, Ryker Gabbard, Evelyn Capps, Remington VanBuren and Brantley Noblitt. She is also survived by her siblings, Glenn Isaacs of London, Mickey Isaacs and Tammy Isaacs both of McKee.
    In addition to her parents, Kimberly was preceded in death by her husband, Linville O Hair Jr.
    Funeral Services for Kimberly were held on Wednesday October 9, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Jason Thomas officiating. Burial followed at the Isaacs Cemetery. A visitation began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers included Glenn, Gail and Tammy Isaacs, Linda Abrams and Alex Capps.
